I bought their crown molding and the way the materials are constructed, you can't avoid having large visible gaps between panels. It looks absolutely terrible and I had to buy something else from Home Depot instead. They wouldn't accept a return even though they admitted I had installed it correctly and told me to use caulking to hide the gaps better. Horrible customer service for a bad product design - they literally told me I needed to "adjust my expectations" about their product when I described the gaps. The ceiling panels are nice, just don't buy the molding. And be aware that you'll not be able to get a refund or file a chargeback due to their 7 day return policy. I don't know any construction project that's complete within 7 days. Buyer beware!

American Tin gets an A+. I ordered 4, 24x24 of their classic molded tin tiles and folded tin trim piece. The order was shipped immediately after purchase and packaged extremely diligently to avoid scratching or bending. I did not use their free instillation help-line but it's nice they provide that. Our new stove backsplash is beautiful and goes great with our 1959 ranch-style home. Its seamless and we couldn't be happier with the results.

These tiles are very pretty. We bought the snap lock For our ceiling. You still have to use screws. Fairly easy to install. the paint flakes off easily if the tile gets bent a little. The corners don't exactly flush together and it leaves a little hole at all the spots that the tiles meet together. That's disappointing. My husband says it's just poor design. If the lip had been just slightly longer that hole wouldn't show so much since there would be white behind it. It's not looking quite as nice as I had hoped. It's still looks better than my old ceiling.

Love to buy American because of quality. This is not the case for this company. I ordered samples of colors, fell in love with one and called to order my backsplash. Gave them my specs and they assisted in placing the order. They recommended ordering all pieces at the same time to ensure colors to match perfectly since these are made to order. 5 weeks later I finally received my order, the backsplash was blue vs green and the switch plates were a different color blue. So much for matching perfectly. (See attached pictures). After seeing pictures they stated it was because of the pattern I picked making the color "slightly off". They agreed to send me a new order matching the sample. 7 weeks later I receive second order, top row of each panel was different color from bottom row on same panel. Fortunately the bottoms rows matched the sample closer to what I could live with and my rise would not include the top row. Lastly, when I received my first order it contained 5 panels (what the customer service rep insisted I needed for space). I needed three at most. When speaking to them about replacement, I inquired why they sold me so much, sale rep stated they always added more to all orders in case of error. "So unused materials can be returned" I said, oh no these are custom order and cannot be returned. So I paid for supplies I did not need, buyer beware.

Just wanted to drop in and review because it's always a pain to get info on online businesses. There are a lot of online ceiling tile manufacturers and it's hard to tell which are legit... I ordered 180 square feet of (unfinished) faux tin ceiling tile from these guys, and I was pleased with the results. They shipped almost immediately (to NYC) and I had the tiles in less than a week. They arrived in good condition and look good. Also, it was an order of magnitude cheaper than Lowe's, which is the way to make me happy.

Update: I did finally receive my refund for both orders. I have dreamed of a tin backsplash for years. I found this company online, ordered samples so that i could be sure I picked the right color, and finally ordered about $700 worth of backsplash supplies. The tiles were very pretty. At a later date I again ordered more supplies, including outlet covers, because I did not order enough the first time ( on-going kitchen project, didn't order the right outlet covers the first time and didn't order enough J-channel). I received the outlet covers and the color was completely different than what I ordered. I called and emailed photos the next day, and never received a response. I called again and spoke with a very nice woman who told me that all orders are custom-made, and that if I wanted to match what I originally ordered I was supposed to have sent them photos.... I agreed that they were custom-made. However, nowhere on the website did I read that I would need to send in photos to match a previous order. This is why I ordered samples first; so I would know what color I wanted. I explained this to the woman, and asked her if she thought the color of the outlets in the photo matched or looked similar to the color of my already-mostly-installed backsplash, and got not response. I can't be the only person in the history of this company who needed to order additional supplies? If a color is called "artisan silver washed white", shouldn't it have silver in it? Shouldn't there be a standard "artisan silver washed white" the company uses to match all newly made tiles? So, I was promised my recent order would be cancelled and I would receive my money back, and I would also receive a refund for the outlets that didn't match that I had already received. Little did I know that trying to get my money back would take an act of Congress. I have called at least twice this week and emailed, and...nothing. Now I have a half-completed backsplash, and nothing to show for about $250 of product that I will not get because that order was cancelled, and apparently I am not getting my money back either.
