Third time coming here in the last 2 months. First two was to replace a pair of tires for some super 200s for some track time. Came in with loose wheels and tires and it was a smooth and easy process. Prices are competitive for a normal establishment. I'm glad to pay the slight premium for the convenience and proximity of my home. Shout out to Frank. We came in today to replace our family car's tires. Upon inspection (PSI and minimum torque check), I noticed that one of the lug nuts was stripped; I always recommend double checking certain things as your life is on the line when driving a heavy motorized vehicle. Paul was able to work with me on the matter. On one hand, I appreciate Paul for being professional and not blaming anyone specifically. It is difficult to take a customers word at face value and may be hard to trust your techs 100% as well. However, I race, tune, and work on my own motorcycles/cars, so I'm well aware of the careful nature needed when working on your vehicles. I, like every other mechanic, has stripped at least one bolt in their life. One suggestion is for reps/techs to inspect a vehicle before and after with the client to ensure there is no foul play. Yes that may take a little more time, but things like that is what sets an excellent customer service business apart from the rest. It also helps shift liability from the business. If I don't end up getting my own tire machine or Bead Buster at home, I would probably give them a try again. read more

I really appreciate these guys here! My wife had a low tire pressure light pop up and when I took a look, I saw there was a nail right in the middle of the tire. These guys are .5 miles away from where I live so I stopped by today. It's rare that companies do anything for free so I was surprised when they did the tire repair and didn't take a cent from me. Shows that they care about clients and not maximizing their profit which completely won me over. Came here to get my tires rotated the employee was trying to fear monger me by saying my current tires were dangerous and he wouldn't recommend I ever drive with the conditions of my tires. I went elsewhere for a second review and they told me my tires were fine and I can drive safely for a couple more months. I do not appreciate the fear mongering to push and convince someone to buy new tires I'll definitely be taking by business elsewhere. I came on a Friday, where a woman helped me and the service started off terrible. She didn't listen to me and was just trying to get off her script. She even said to me "can I speak" I told her yes but I think you don't hear my question, I restated question and she said "oh I see now, I misunderstood" I felt she made my check in linger and difficult. The company: I paid for a warranty and now those tires aren't available and instead of replacing my tires with what they carry I had to pay for new tires so my initial warranty was a waste of money. Frank!!! Great service. Although I had to come back the next day because my car made noise on side of tire they changed. After having regular maintenance at the dealership, they noted I had a nail in my tire and recommended I come here for a patch. It was a very busy rainy day and the whole crew was hustling - the front desk literally running around to get things moving. I also heard great things from the others in the lobby about this location. Unfortunately, the technician looked at my rear tires and felt I needed replacements because of the tread depth near the sidewall. I called the dealership back (they had just assessed my tires as all at good tread and the dealership reassured me I did not need tires unless the tire could not be patched). So I left American Tire with my wheels, unpatched. The next day I go to my local Firestone, they pull the nail from the tire, tell me it's not leaking, and that my tires are fine. Look, it was a busy day in bad weather I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt. The front desk was so excited to tell me I needed 2 rear tires... it just felt weird. I think he was trying to be friendly but it left a weird vibe and I'm glad I trusted my gut. Won't be going back here personally, but you may get better service on a slow day. read more

I had a tire fall apart on the freeway. I searched and searched for a tire store that carried a replacement tire for the Civic. I needed a new tire installed today. This model of Civic has a low-profile tire so it seemed impossible to find the tire in stock at a reasonable price. I found American Tire Depot. Their web page let me schedule an appointment online and specify the tire size I needed. The site listed several brands of matching tires. Other establishments responded to my request for pricing but their prices per tire were significantly higher. A survey of the remaining 3 tires revealed that they were in poor condition including one tire with a nail in it. I was able to get 3 tires with the 4th tire free. The installation took about 2 hours. They also checked the alignment for free. They determined that 3 of the wheels were out of alignment. The alignment took another 45 minutes or so. The staff was helpful and friendly. They helped make a daunting task more manageable and I feel better knowing that I have new tires so I won't experience another episode on the freeway again. Also, the tires come with a warranty where they will repair the tire for free and if they can't fix it they will replace it. read more

I ordered a specific brand and type of tire for one of my cars. After the install was started I got a call that the front tires weren't right and asked if I still wanted them which made no sense. I was also charged for tire recycling when I brought in new rims that didn't have any tires on them. I also found damage on my brand new rims. This completely ruined my plans and was a waste of my time. I've been to this shop on and off for over 10 years. Quality of service has fallen off so I'll no longer be coming to this shop. I typically get my car back in about an hour, as a walk in. We used to take our cars to America's Tire, who also patch for free, and it does not compare. Stay away from this place -- it was an absolute nightmare. I needed a specific tire to match my current set after getting a flat. I called ahead to make sure they had the size in stock, and they told me they did. When I got there, they tried to charge about $70 more than other tire shops. They said the wait would be an hour and a half to two hours, which I said was totally fine. After almost two hours, they finally told me they didn't have the tire in stock. They never actually checked after telling me they had it. On top of the bad service, this location has some legit safety issues. When they asked to talk to me about their mistake, they brought me into the shop area behind a door marked "Safety Goggles Required Past This Point." The guy who I think is the manager was respectful and apologetic, but ignoring basic safety like that was pretty wild. Go somewhere else. read more

I took my car to Hyundai in Torrance for warranty covered maintenance. They found a nail in the back right tire and told me to take it to a tire shop since they don't do that service .
