On the way back from a weekend trip, my car suddenly had the low tire pressure indicator light turn on out of the blue. Few days ago I had one of the four tires re-pressurized so I knew something was going on with that specific tire. I did some quick research and noticed that Pacific Tire Service Center accepts walk-in customers so I decided to give this place a shot. [Experience]: After I parked my car inside the service center, one of the employees greeted me at the front counter and said the service staff will test for a leak by taking the tire with an issue off and putting it in water. If there were bubbles, then they will try to repair it for $30 and the whole process should take about 45 minutes. I didn't stay in the waiting lounge and left using a rideshare app. I got a call back in 25 minutes and was told that there was a nail in the tire and the tire was not repairable, so a tire replacement is required. Since other tires looked good, I didn't need to replace a pair of tires so one new tire was enough. After I agreed to the replacement, I got another call in 20 minutes stating the job was completed. The whole process only took 45 minutes after I had walked in without an appointment. [Waiting area]: The lounge area has a complimentary espresso machine and free water. It is a very comfortable waiting area with a TV playing in the background. [Price]: The total cost with labor was approximately $150. To replace my tire, I was given the option of either a Continental tire or an economy tire and I went with the economy tire (APLUS 108H XL Performance). Came here this past weekend with a new set of tires (not purchased from Pacific Tire, as I brought my own) They identified 3 out of the 4 tires I had them rebalanced were out of round and had high spots causing my truck to shake despite rebalancing done from other shops. Got the new tires. Brought them in. Tires balanced perfectly. Zero issues. Price was more than fair. The other tire shop said nothing was wrong with the tires, but Pacific Tire identified the culprit with the first set of tires right away. Be careful where you go. Come here if you want your wheels scratched and for them to not even screw in your wheels correctly. So many other issues with this place. 1. My wheels were scratched up. I know it wasn't scratched coming in because I washed it recently and inspected it. When I came back the next business day on Monday the manager Bella said don't worry, we'll get it fixed. 3 days later on Thursday another manager Miguel calls me and says to come in to talk to him. I come in and he says maybe they'll cover half. He later sends me a picture of a completely different car saying it came damaged. And then calls me back saying maybe it wasn't them (or maybe it was), but that they wouldn't take take responsibility and that my car is old. My car by now has been outside 3 days and dirty, and of course all the wheels are scratched up. 2. When I first came at 10am on Saturday, one of their worker Sal said it'd be an hour 40 minutes. He later calls me back saying it'd be 2pm because people went to lunch. I'm now late for my event. 3. When I came home to check, one of the bolts wasn't even screwed in. I could turn it with my finger. That sounds really dangerous. 4.They didn't even know my car's torque specs. When I asked them they said probably 90. The spec is 118. Going way under sounds dangerous as well. 4. I was quoted for $240 before coming, and then Sal called me and said $385. They don't even have consistent pricing? I had to correct him before he agreed. I went to this place due to the high ratings, but if you like your car and don't want bad things done to your car (or even basic things like putting in the screws or torquing it right) I highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs. read more
