However, they don't have a tech after 6pm during the week and the online filing system still allows you to make an appointment. I've experienced a courtesy call and was given the opportunity to reschedule and the manager was apologetic, but it can be frustrating when it continuously happens. So please double check to ensure they have a tech or make an appointment before 6pm during the week. They are typically able to meet the service requested, I tend to only get an oil change tho. I was mulling over writing this review because I like to stay positive with the content I put out there, however this is an important experience that needs to be shared. This past Saturday (July 1st) I took my car to Pep Boys for a routine oil change, tire rotation and vehicle inspection. Was there for about an hour and an half before service was completed. I paid and left and headed home. Later that same day I was driving to a work gathering and suddenly in the middle of the 405 freeway my engine lost all power leaving me almost stranded. Thankfully because I have a hybrid, I was able to use battery power to get from the middle of the free way and off onto the shoulder. Thankfully no one got hurt. I called for a tow truck (thanks AAA) and they got to me in 15 minutes. Upon inspection it was determined that I could have a faulty O-ring from my oil change service. Fast forward to Monday, July 3rd and I had to have my vehicle towed again to Pep Boys (was closed on Sunday). I explained the situation and even had an appointment for 8am to get the vehicle looked at. There was no empathy shown in my situation and was told I needed to wait almost an hour for a technician to arrive for work considering one should of been there since the doors opened. They took care of fixing the issue, confirming a faulty O-ring was the reason for oil loss. Once again no empathy, no understanding, no simply asking if I'm okay considering the situation. After this experience, I have no plans to return to have my vehicles serviced by this facility or any other Pep Boys location. Hopefully their service will change in the future, but they certainly have lost my business. read more

I had a great experience here!!! I used to live in the area but moved a couple years ago before this pepboys went in. I wish it had gone in before I had moved, because I know I would've become a loyal customer with their service. I was up dropping some family off at LAX, when I found out I had ran over a large screw and my air pressure light went off. I called ahead to confirm I could bring it in. They were friendly, gave me an estimate and then told me to come in. I pulled into a parking stop when some stepped out of the office to greet me, asking if I was the one who called. He then instructed me to back my car closer to their garage. He proceeded to quickly remove my tire, pull the screw out, patch and then reinstalled the tire in less than 10 mins, all while I was able to watch. Thoroughly impressed by their prompt and friendly service!!!! I proceeded to give payment and they told me it was on the house...... seriously, when does that ever happen anymore!!!!!??? Such a kind gesture to turn a frustrating experience (flat tire) into a moment of sheer gratefulness of kind humans. I've never written a yelp review, but this place is the worst. I brought my car here for a simple oil change. The day of service they told me my brakes were fine, but when they returned my car my rear brakes were making a loud screeching sound, and they still do now. Javier at the front desk was rude and tried to act like I was trying to get free service by asking them to fix the brakes that they damaged. He's scum. They refused to fix their mistake. I'll never use any pep boys in L.A. County again thanks to these crooks. If you go in for low cost service like an oil change they'll intentionally damage your car to get you to pay more for additional services. This location should be shut down. I took my car in for repair on my rear view mirror and head light on a Saturday morning around 9:30 am . I was told it would only take an hour and a half to fix, which should of been 11:00 am. My car was not done until 4:00 pm. I paid for repair and then leave and find out the signal light on the driver's side rear view and headlight are not repaired. I called back to the store and ask for the manager Carlos, who told me that he told the guys to tell me that they could not fix the repairs. That was never communicated to me at all. Then the manager Carlos gets into an argument with me as if I'm lying about be informed. I demanded a refund and he insisted they informed me. I contacted their Corporate office and reported him. I got there on time for my appointment and was told that the technician had called in. Dropped off a car that was driving well for my free alignment and left with a death trap on my hands! They did an alignment on one side of the car only, because supposedly the other side was seized and they could not budge it. I told them to do what they can and I would come get it. When I pulled out of the parking lot, my car was swinging all over the road and was extremely difficult to control, and was loudly squealing. When I called to say what the hell happened, I was told the mechanic had driven it after the adjustment and that it was fine. IT IS NOT FINE IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM! The mechanic is now gone and I have no vehicle. I was told to take it to the other Pep Boys on Aviation in the morning. I made an appointment for a smog test but when I arrived I was told the person who does the test wouldn't be in until later in the day and was asked to come back. Not sure why they made the appointment. With so many smog test options nearby I drove to Beach Smog and was helped immediately. It was also slightly less expensive there.
