I needed an oil change and for lack of time at Big Brand , I was referred to American Tire Depot, I didn't know they were affiliated but I like the service better at American. They have time to treat you like a client, not a paycheck. They are professional and make sure you understand what your car needs and why. They also ask if there's anything you have questions about or if you want more information, etc. Great place to go where you are treated like a real person! read more

We needed an emergency tire replacement on a small utility trailer on short notice to complete a project. I went to Big Brand on Central Ave. in Lompoc, CA and they sent me to another location, American Tire on Ocean St. I am so glad they did. Tyler and Nick were quick to come up with a replacement and Tyler had it mounted and tire pressure set in an incredibly short time. I was blown away with how quick and efficient this business is. The only downside was there is no waiting room and it was freezing cold where you had to sit.

called at 2:17 pm to see if i could get an oil change today and they told me to come in at 4:30 pm, i asked if i needed an appointment and they told me to just walk in and that i should be taken cared of. I walk in at 4:25 and they tell me they are too busy to come back monday lol. read more

I bought 4 brand new tires and alignment 2 years ago. I just went to the shop to get my tires rotated, so I get there the person at the shop said I need the new tires! and the alignment.Seriously I just bought all 4brand new tires and barely driving the car much,This place have not thing for them to do try to sale the stuff that should not to be pay for.,I WON'T Go THERE AGAIN!. instead I go to Ca****** (I will not name the shop they are already too busy) tires there the tires are properly rotated. They are better and honest!!. The tire depot would not even honor the warranty. I was glad to pay the $15 for a rotation somewhere else that was supposed to be free. read more

Lompoc manager had me book an appointment at 4pm, told me my car would be ready in 45 min to an hour and at 530 called me to tell me they only had one tire In stock when I booked the appointment a week in advance and was told 2 tires were in stock and when I arrived to pick up my car both my tires were already off. WTF! These guys didn't get the new tires first before realizing they didn't have them both in stock? How stupid read more

Nice people, great tire deals, but I won't let them even change my oil ever again. A couple of years ago they overfilled the oil on my wife's car and it ended up spewing all over the engine. Luckily they didn't overfill it enough to cause engine damage. I guess I didn't learn my lesson. I had them change my truck's oil and they didn't properly tighten the oil filter, so oil spilled onto the engine and onto the driveway. They replaced the filter immediately, but didn't properly wipe down the engine, so it took a couple of weeks for the oil to burn off the engine. I got 4 new tires from them recently, and that day just before taking off on a trip my neighbor noticed that the hood was not latched. It does have a second catch, but not sure that would have held once on the freeway. No idea why they opened my hood. They definitely need to hire more competent mechanics. I'd give them a solid 4 stars for tires and no stars for mechanical work. read more

Has anyone else taken their car here for a repair then notice a few days later a headlight is out? Happened to me twice after going here. Not sure if it's a coincidence or not but I thought the mechanics might be doing this to bring you back in again for another service. I ended up taking it back both times and they charged me for the headlight and told me to give the mechanic a tip. read more

Very friendly staff here as well as honest, quick and reliable. Had two front tires changed at a very reasonable and competitive price and a tail light replaced in under two hours. We did not have an appointment either and they were very accommodating on a Saturday morning. Highly recommend. read more

I have to give a Big thanks to the guys in the Lompoc shop. I go and take care of my 89 year old mother every 2 weeks to take her places and get her food and supplies, I drive from Simi Valley and I was heading back home noticed my tire light on and stopped off at the shop. With them busy as they were after I explained my situation they made room for me to fix a flat and be on my way. I am so thankful for the guys there and management was so understanding. Calvin, the manager, and his crew promptly and with a smile did the free 6 month tire rotation and alignment check on my vehicle. I'd bought my tires and had alignment done at the American Tire Depot in Thousand Oaks but I didn't want to have to drive down there for the free follow-up service. Calvin put me on the Lompoc schedule and did everything for free - I'm happy that American Tire Depot has a lot of locations for service. And Calvin and his crew did the routine oil change, refill of fluids and basic service for such a reasonable charge. I definitely recommend them. read more

After running around Lompoc to different locations I knew I should have gone here first. They did an oil change for me not too long ago. 1 hour and so affordable. I pulled in and asked if they could help change a headlight on my BMW, which as we all know everything with BMW's can be a pain. Juan came over and had it fixed in 5 minutes, even though it was close to closing time. They were so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. This will from now on be the only place I take my car when anything is needed. I highly recommend to anyone that wants an honest mechanic with morals and integrity. I had to get a set of tires balanced, aligned and installed on my Corvette. I got a deal on the tires and drove up from Culver City to purchase them. The seller told me that this tire shop was the best one around and boy I am glad he directed me here. The prices are fantastic, affordable and reasonable! The owner is the nicest guy and immediately made me feel like he was not over charging me and was really giving me the best deal possible. His workers were quick and efficient and my car drives better than ever. He then called me up the next day to make sure I got home safely and that I was happy with everything.
