I went in to the branch in Lompoc to have some tires mounted. The tire tech told me my brake pads were very worn and needed replacement and possibly the rotors too. The bill was over 1,000.00 but that is not my issue. A day or two later I noticed one of the rear MGP red caliper covers was not on the wheel. I went back and the service manager was not there. I told the tire techs and they got belligerent and acted like I was lying. They told me it must have fallen off (not possible, wheel is in the way). I explained that there were only two possible explanations: One, they did not put it back on, Two, they put it on incorrectly. When I explained this they acted like they wanted to fight me. This will cost me a minimum of 162.00 to replace the rear covers. Needless to say, they will never get another cent of my business nor will anybody I know if I can help it. read more

They drilled the side walls of tires to let air out. But I had requested 2 of them to be returned to me. So then the tires that were shipped there were wrong size. Since they had ruined my other tires when I returned to pick up my truck they let me know what they had done. They should have found tires in that shop to get me rolling . They did not. I had to go to my home 15 miles away and find old set of wheels with tires on them. When I came back they slapped the on didn't check a thing. Well when I left I could hear something rubbing. The next day I found replacement wheels to fit new tires. I went back to shop with rims. When manager informed me he wouldn't be staying late to install my tires. I informed him they had pinched my brake line when they installed temporary wheels. Didn't seem to care. I was able to nag them into mounting tires on rims. But they just threw them in back of my truck.i left and approx 5 miles down the road my front brake line burst leaving me with no brakes. So needless to say I took my truck elsewhere and had brake line replaced and new tires mounted. I'm am so disgusted at this place never had such poor customer service. He'll it was beyond that. It was their negligence that could have killed me. They never gave it a second thought. read more

Upon arrival, I hoped for a nail removal from my tire and get the hole sealed off. However after requesting that, they stated that the tire was needed to be replaced completely, and they refused to. Due to this, we ended up leaving and going to a different location where they removed the nail and sealed off the hole for $20. At that time, we decided we wanted a tire rotation as well, however that would cost another $20. Moving forward we decided to come back to the American Tire Depot to get the tire rotation since the wheel is repaired already, we would have gotten it for free since we were paying for the American Tire Depot for its benefits. However, it ended with them refusing to rotate our tires, and that we needed to get pay for tire replacements. At the end, we just left. read more

Scheduled tire installation online based on promotion listed right next to the tires: Buy 3 Get 1 Free in addition to multiple other promotions. But none of the promotions was applied at checkout (no payment was collected, just a reservation with a price quote). The system allowed me to choose my preferred tires and make an appointment for installation the next morning (indicating they're in stock). Luckily I called first thing in the morning to verify that all the promotions would be applied. I was told the tires I chose weren't in stock so the Buy 3 Get 1 Free promotion wouldn't apply. I asked how they'd be able to install them in about an hour if they weren't in stock and was told "Oh, yeah... we'd have to order them and you could get them installed Monday." So then why didn't someone call me and let me know this morning? They were just going to let us show up and either try to sell us on other tires or tell us we'd have to come back Monday AND pay well more than the ads suggest by not honoring the promotion. I wish I could give this zero stars, this location is scamming people and unfortunately I was one of those people. I paid for two new tires, a 4 wheel alignment and balancing of those two tires. When I left I was on my way to San Luis Obispo, my car was shaking the whole time, I decided to stop at another big name tire company to see what's happening. Come to find out, the four wheel alignment was never done and those two new tires, nope, they were not balanced. I basically paid to fix America tire depots mistake. I quickly called Calvin at the Lompoc store and he said he would refund me for what I just paid with Big b tire. When I went to America tire depot the next day Calvin said that they didn't balance the two wheels, when I asked about the alignment he said "I don't know". Big b told me their alignment machine is probably not calibrated so they are just printing out it passed, instead of doing it correctly. I was furious and still am. Now, 4 days later, I'm getting the run around about my refund and can't get a hold of anyone at corporate. Stay away from this shop until they get their issues fixed! They are doing services for cars and you're paying for them, but did you really get the services you paid for? Probably not, just like me. read more

I was frustrated after previously setting up an appointment with a competitor (BBT in Lompoc) and somehow they didn't have any record of my appointment and did not even have the Toyota Camry tires in stock that I had ordered. I then called Wayne's Tire Service and explained the situation about BBT's botched appointment and not only did Brian take me in THE SAME DAY with NO APPOINTMENT ON A WEEKEND, he gave me an awesome price on a set of 4 brand new tires and an oil change. I really wanted to give these guys a high rating as they were very friendly but apparently they have no integrity. Told me my wife's car needed a new shim on it and it would cost over two hundred dollars to fix. Took it to big brand for a second opinion and they said that the shim was adjustable and they fixed the car for about eighty dollars. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

These guys were so great! I'm from out of town and I had a problem with my car overheating. They were able to do a pressure test right away for free. They found out it was the water pump, and instead of saying how to fix it there, they advised me to take it to my dealership as the part should still be under warranty. I would have never known. I would not reccomand this place unless you want to keep having to pay for issues done to your caused by thier mechanics. Juan was the mechanic who worked on my car couple times and each time he did something on accident I'm assuming to my vehicle. When they did an oil change they didn't put the proper drain plug on and when he did he cranked up so hard it stripped and tried to cover it up by not telling me. They prob thought single mother wouldn't notice. Second time I took my car in it was because there was oil leaking from engine into spark plugs and oil was leaking from my vehicle I paid over 1,000. Calvin told me whoever did your last oil change put the pan in wrong not aligned with where oil falls out and put wrong drain plug turned out they were the ones who last worked on my car Juan. I've been going to this auto repair shop since they offered this great coupon special. I started off with just an oil change and have since worked my way to under the car repairs. These guys are extremely friendly and patient. They explained everything to me and didn't talk down to me just because I was a girl and didn't know what goes underneath the hood. I have never felt like they were trying to push unneeded services, simply because, they haven't. They are reasonably priced and complete their work quickly, cleanly, and efficiently. They even offer pick up/drop off services if needed. This isn't your scuzzy car repair shop. I didn't give them 5 stars only because I haven't needed extensive repairs done on my car, so I can't rate them on complicated repairs. read more

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS ... Worst mistake ever . Only reason they get a star is to make there rating go down These guys are the worst do not go to them . I took my car into get tires , they said they have a deal going on with tires and a allinement . So I said ok let's do it . Asked how long it would take they said about 40 min I said cool . Told them that I was going to be driving over 700 miles and needed to be leaving in the next hour and a half . When I took my car into them it pulled a little bit but nothing to bad . After they had worked on it , it would not drive straight at all . I too it back to them and they said it will b ok to go just bring it back when u get back .. Worst 700 miles I ever drive I fought it the whole way . When I got back I brought it back in . And then they told me it was perfect but it needed shocks and that's y it was pulling . So I put shocks on it and still the same problem in the process I had to replace a few other parts because they messed it up soo bad never go to these guys the mechanic is a tweeker looking guy . I took it to a diff shop and they where able to do a great job they told me that it was off 5* on both sides . I Wayne's tire mess it up so I would have to bring it back and buy new parts from them . I recently got $1,200 dollars worth of work done to my car. (January 10, 2013) I got brand new tires at another business which then told me they were unable to align my car because front end work was very much needed. So I took my car to Wayne's Tires in Lompoc, California for another estimate. I told them what I was told about my car and they took it in and looked at it all and decided to go along with what needed to be fixed. Which included my tie rod boots and my tie rod end. My car recently overheated, (January 16, 2013) which never has in my 3 years of owning it, but this is not because of them, it is because the old radiator hoses could not work with the new ones. But they probably knew that right? So another $120 paid to Wayne's Tires in Lompoc. January 25, 2013 as I am driving home late at night from my work which I need to drive on the highway to get to, I am getting to my street and my car starts sliding and making a very loud screeching noise and I hear a boom. I get out and look at my front tire and my front left tire was turned completely inward and there is a bar hanging off of it and smoke coming off because of the force it had when the tire separated from the tie rod end. This happened because Wayne's Tires in Lompoc failed to do the labor they did on my car for this part correctly. It had no Nut or cotter-pin on it. So for the last 15 days I have been driving my car with poor maintenance done to it and/or faulty parts put on by Wayne's Tires. They towed my car for it and supposedly fixed it in 4 hours. I will not be driving my car until I get it checked out by ANOTHER mechanic and make sure that Wayne's tires does not put my life in jeopardy again because of a careless job done. They did the work for free and everything but their mistake they made has caused me not to feel safe in my car considering all the work they have done to it and not knowing if they've done it right. I am very upset about this and will tell everyone and anyone I know to NEVER come to Wayne's tires it is not a job well done and it is not worth the money spent, obviously. And most definitely not worth my own life. read more
