Big thanks to Vince for taking care of me. I came in on short notice and was in need of a tire swap that was urgent. Initially I came in for a flat fix but I was shown that the tire I had was beyond repair. I was given a great explanation on why it couldn't be fixed. Vince pulled some strings to get the set I needed in and checked ran some additional diagnostics because I mentioned I was going on a long trip the following day. Honestly, I'm pretty happy with the overall cost and glad I decided to get my tires here than at Costco where I was originally going to go, a lot easier to get served and American Tire Depot has several locations so warranty work and service isn't an issue. read more

Had the best experience here. It was recommended to me when I was struggling to put air in my tire at the 76 gas station on Gaffey by the loveliest man. I went by and two gentlemen were at the counter. Both looked up with the friendliest smiles and let me know there were two customers ahead of me. I said I had an important time urgent errand and would be back. So they offered to take a look and put air in for me so I wasn't driving on a low tire. I thought that was super kind. I went back after the errand and they took my car right in. A technician patched my tire in record tome and it was free of charge. Please make sure to tip though. I will definitely be going back for oil changes or any other issues. So happy to have found them. read more

As others have mentioned in their reviews, the customer service is excellent at this location. The staff are always kind and willing to help. The manager Vince has a great attitude and will go out of his way to make sure you understand what's going on and what different options you have. As a woman with minimal knowledge about vehicles, it could be scary to get car repairs because of the fear you might get scammed or have your car break down because of sub-par parts or labor. Places like this deserve zero stars when are shops going to understand that just because a women walks in to get a service done on her vehicle that doesn't give them the right to take advantage of her just because you guys think we don't know how things work. I walked in this morning because i had a screw on my left front tire and asked the guy at the counter if they patched tires and how much it would be he responded with yes we do and patches are free i was like perfect do you think you can help me with that and showed him a picture of where the screw was then he says oh yea no I'm sorry but we can't patch that you're going to have to purchase a new tire i can help you with that if you like i said no thank you and left drove down two blocks to a different tire shop and they were able to patch up my tire without any problems in 15mins. They solved my problem, in this case a warranty replacement of a non-repairable tire failure. I just had to wait over the weekend for delivery of the replacement, a common size but only for older vehicles. Service was fine, and the price was right for a labor only fix. read more

We had just come from a cruise, picked up our car in the Princess lot and as I started driving to pick up my mom, at the terminal, it showed the right front tire was at 3#!! Drove up due to low air in my tire. The young man came out to talk to me, he noticed right away there was a nail on my tire. I went into office to fill out the paper work. Once that was done I just had to wait a few minutes because they were at lunch. but as soon as they returned they worked on my tire quickly and I was sent on my way . I highly recommend this place. This migjt be like my second review ever on yelp, but I came here about 4 months ago. I was talked into buying new tires for $600 and a $120 warranty on them. The employee, I won't share his name because that seems completely wrong to do on such a public forum, who I believe to be to be the manager I dealt with, said that if anything happened to the tires that all I would have to do is come into the shop and that they would fix the tire for free, no charge, or that that the warranty would replace them. Seemed like a no brainer. What he failed to disclose is that I would have to pay an installation fee plus tax and a whole new warranty on the the tire replacement and and that the total cost would come out to over $80, nearly half of what the tire cost and as well as what would have been nearly the cost of the warranty on all of the tires. Well, I came in to repair my new tire for a nail that was in the tire 4 months later, although I originally had that tire taken off two months prior due to a flat early in the morning and their business hours not operating at that time. So the tire had been practically in mint conditon. That same exact employee claimed that not only could he not replace the flat, that I would have to have to pay that $80 in total out of pocket for the replacement for an installation fee plus tax and a new warranty on the new tire. If I had known this policy, I would not have even paid for the warranty let alone the tires in the first place. It was only once I called customer support that they brought the price down to $50 for the inconvenience, which I find still to be be complete bs that I had to pay. Also, why couldn't that manager have done so in the first place for the inconvenience on his end for not disclosing the matter once he made the sale. Also, to make maters worse, as the ordeal was already taking about 2 hours out of my time for a tire replacement, he assigns a training employee to replace my tire which prolonged the replacement 45 minutes further. So now, something that should have only taken 30 minutes, at the most, to do turned into a nearly 3 hour experience for me. Then he just passively said, "sorry for the extra wait, I had to teach my new guy, you know". Just god aweful and kinda seemed like a vindictive move just because I saved myself $30, which really is not that great of a discount for the inconvenience. In all honesty, if I have a flat again, I will just take it to a mom amd pop shop to have fixed. It cost like maybe $30 to repair a nail in a near brand new tire. So now, I paid $120 for a warranty that doesn't even apply to fix a flat due to a nail in a tire. His words exactly were "I won't even touch it". I feel completely ripped off. Make your sell but do not leave out critical information on warranty policies, especially when it come to additional costs. Also, where is the guest customer service that this company touts. Also, there was only one other guest there. So, the time of it all definitely was not something to be an issue that took me 3 hours out of my day off of work for. read more

I've unfortunately given my business to this sad excuse for a store 2 times at this point, the first of which was to get my girlfriend new brakes I informed them that the back brakes were bad. They came back agreeing the brakes were bad... once we picked up the car we noticed the sound was still there. They didn't replace the back brakes only the front. So we then had to then pay more to fix the original problem coming from the back brakes which we stated previously. Then today my girlfriend gets a flat tire on the way to work. I put the spare on and brought it in knowing it would most likely need a new tire. When I went to pay and my card was processed the representative at the desk says they "price match" I pull up the exact tire on my phone for almost half the price, but he wouldn't honor the "price match" as I already paid and he was trying to price match for 3 more tires on top of the tire I just bought and the prices he was finding were much higher. To top it off these guys can't even put a spare tire away properly they put it upside down allowing it to slam around the trunk this place is honestly a joke stay far away read more

My girlfriend and I spent 3 days in San Pedro as tourists in her hometown (we live in Ventura) and her front brakes were grinding. She had got her tires from an American Tire Depot in Ventura County recently so we wanted to get the brakes by them too. We found the one on Pacific and screeched in. The guys took us in, did the inspection, rotated the tires, and had us on the road in an hour. They let us know the back brakes were due as well. We couldn't have been better taken care of.
