Took my crown Victoria in to this one for a transmission for change. They asked me to park in a regular steak so Theo could ask a few questions and check my fluid first. When they checked my fluid with the dip stick, they said I had metal shavings in my fluid. Told me to go to aamco. A day later, I had a mobile mechanic come out and change my oil and transmission filters, and guess what? NO METAL SHAVINGS AT ALL IN MY TRANSMISSION FLUID! This jiffy lube was so full of crap, I'm now pretty sure they didn't want to do the job to begin with. Never again will I go to this jiffy lube! read more

I have utilized this specific Jiffy Lube for decades. In the past (FRED) was very honest. Fred is gone and so is the honesty. On my most recent visit for a simple oil change I was advised that I need my transmission fluid flushed, power steering fluid flushed, break system was metal to metal and fluid needed to be flushed, service engine soon light was on... declined all, just wanted oil change. WHY. My regular mechanic replaced both front and real brake pads and flushed system only 3 months ago, transmission fluid is fine, I recently changed the power steering fluid myself, my vehicle does NOT have "service engine soon light". OIL CHANGE with just plain standard oil came to $99.42 which included $15 coupon. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS JIFFY LUBE AGAIN!!! OH... $99,99 for a simple oil change and that was with a coupon. read more

This was by far the worst service experience I've had. My first and last time using Jiffy Lube, The price they quoted be at for an oil change and tire rotation was about $185 for my Mazda. This is about $70 more than the dealership. I told the guy who rang me up that the price was out of control and his response was 'sucks to suck.' He was passive aggressive and rude. This is in regards to Jiffy Lube, Lomita, CA. I have used this specific place for at least 2 decades. The prior manager, FRED, was very honest. I am a 70 year old 100% (combat) permanently disabled veteran. Last week I brought my vehicle in for a simple oil change with a $15 coupon. I was informed that my brakes were metal against metal and urgent repair needed, that my transmission needed to be flushed, that my radiator needed to be flushed and my power steering fluid contaminated. I opted for oil change ONLY. $99 with coupon! The next morning I noticed oil leaking and leaving large spots on my driveway. My vehicle has NEVER leaked oil. I took my vehicle to my mechanic that I totally trust. 1. The oil leak was from an improperly installed drain plug and bent washer. 2. All brakes have 50% wear available and my mechanic told me to return in 3-5 months to recheck. The transmission fluid was fine. My radiator fluid is fine. My power steering was fine. My thoughts are that this outright dishonest Jiffy Lube business was trying to take advantage of a elderly disabled veteran and they likely are dishonest to any elderly customers and likely others. JIFFY LUBE has lost me as a customer and I will never refer anyone. As an old combat vet who has zero tolerance for rip-offs; I am considering legal recourse. read more
