The tech, Bruce, was very professional and kept me updated via text while enroute and at a previous job beforehand. He tested the battery, confirmed it was dead, and then gave my old battery a jump so I could go get it swapped. Was in st pete with my family including 2 grandkids 6 & 4 to go to a festival. We were in a rental van from enterprise. Unknowingly we parked in a local bank(flafstaff bank)i didn't see the sign, i just saw others parking at a bank after bank hrs and this towing co. Hooked up and towed us away. We called admitting our mistake and willing to pay the $400 to get our van and go home. He basically said nope we need a notorized release saying you leased the van. Good luck from enterprise on a sat evening at 5pm. I said i have the lease agreement on my ph and my id......nope they said no! Why you might ask? Money!, in my opinion. The "part owner" even admitted there was no way that enterprise was going to come threw with that notarized release. So he knew we weren't getting our van back. My daughter said to him "my daughter (my granddaughter) has seizures and needs her medication" he said "theres a hospital right down the road" real lowlife. Hopefully you never have any interactions with this company either purposely or by accident like we did. In my opinion very unscrupulous!! So with two ubers(7 people and stuff) to north port and towing fines we had a nice little $1,000 Saturday night!! What goes around comes around for these people. Just flew back into town when my back tire all a sudden went flat (due to a screw) I was changing the tire when Marcus pulled up in his tow and asked if I needed help. I then realized I didn't have a spare, so he checked if he had any plugs, he was out. Marcus drove to a convenient store, came back with plugs, patched the tire, and aired it up for me. All because he's a good dude. This place definitely has my future business and I'll be sure to tell whoever I can about this story. read more

My car insurance sent this company out. American send me a text saying it would be a 90 min wait. That was fine. Then 2 hours later I call and get the excuse that they are stuck in traffic and that they would be there in 20 min. Then 20 min later they call me and say they will be there in 20 min. I said 20 more min, I told him it had already been almost 3 hours, he said well that's just how it is. Then 30 min later he showed up rude as can be! Will not use again or recommend. read more

August of last year I called triple a to have a car towed from my sister house to the repair shop. The american tow and recovery driver patrick gordon called me from my sisters house complaning about several things. i explained where the battery was and other items he was talking about the car had no leaks there was some damage to the car from a wreck and a few other repairs needed. The place where my car was parked on the street did not have any oil or fluids leaked on the grown when Patrick got to the repair shop he yelled and cussed out the repair shop owner and did the same to me he had oil all over the bed of his truck and decided he was going to clean it off in the repair shop parking lot Patrick had put a giant whole in the oil pan and two other places I contacted triple aaa and was given American tow and recovery number i have called at least two or three times a week since last September and leave a message but the owner nor any of this office staff has returned my call the damage to the car was 1600.00 i absolutely do not recommend this company at all i do not believe that they care about there customers or anyone else then themselves read more

NIGHTMARE SCENARIO!! Had no idea something like this could even happen. I needed my car towed for repair. This company was sent by AAA. Because my membership was new there was going to be a balance for towing. The driver called and got my card info. I went on with my day starting with a Dr. appt. The tow truck driver had difficulty running my credit card properly. He tried to call twice and then IMPOUNDED my car because he allegedly was not capable of running my card for $80. When I was again available to speak with him, he stated it would be few hundred dollars to get out of impound and that if it was important to me I would have answered my phone. Before speaking with his superiors or AAA I was initially told I would owe an additional $400. Needless to say, his superiors immediately waived all impound fees and AAA reimbursed me for xtra towing. All other personnel from Towing co were very helpful and apologetic but unfortunately the driver, Angel, ruined any chance of a good review for all of them. His ineptitude cost me another week without a car since it was not towed to repair shop until late Fri so would not be looked at until Mon. read more

An obviously inexperienced driver towed my vehicle from my parking space under my car port, leaving tire marks ACROSS MY FRONT YARD, as well as SKID MARKS on my driveway from the driver NOT paying attention if the parking break were on or not. $1800 worth of damage! My husband worked for american. He had to quit because me and our 2 month old son both are having to have surgery. When he quit the dispatcher had the nerve to tell my husband that he couldnt care for our son broke and when i told her he had another job that was easier so he wouldnt almost be getting into wrecks from being so tired from running all night long she told me to shut the f*** up. On June 18th American Tow and Recovery was contacted through my roadside assistance program. During transport from the OKC Airport to the Rover dealership in Edmond, the driver of the truck had a blowout on his tow dolly. The driver called and informed me of the blowout incident. When I picked up my vehicle two days later from the dealer I noticed the damage to my car. I have contacted this company several times. Spoke with Bryan once out of all the numerous calls. Emailed him my estimate, pictures of the damage and yet still won't return my calls. Poor customer service. I would not recommend them to anybody. read more

AWEFUL DO NOT USE-- SCAMMERS WILL TRY TO REFUSE TO RELEASE YOUR VEHICLE I used this company to tow my vehicle after it had been in a accident, the Wrecker arrived when we informed him where we wanted the vehicle to be towed he informed us that they were not able to tell what they were they had to take it back to their facility and then our insurance would have to settle out with them for them to release it to where we are wanting to have our vehicle repaired up should've been our first time at this place was going to be sketchy. The next morning I called the company so I could have my vehicle released. I spoke to the owner his name is Justin, I explained that I was in a wreck and his company towed my vehicle to their yard. Justin proceeded to tell me that he was not going to release my vehicle because there is a hold on it. I proceeded to explain to him that that I was hit, there is no hold on my car and the only reason why my vehicle is there is because the guy who came out to tow refused to take my vehicle where I wanted to go in the first place. He proceeded to yell at me telling me that I didn't tell him that in the first place and that this conversation is recorded and that he would play it for me. I told him that fine and that I was on my way to his facility to get my vehicle released, he proceeded to say he'll be there at 0930. Once we got there he informed me that we needed a paper copy of our insurance for the vehicle to be released, I informed him that I have the electronic version he refused to take it saying he would not release my vehicle until I provided a copy of the insurance. He proceeded to yell at me saying... I didn't play nice on the phone and I don't need to be talking to him because my name is not on the tittle he continues to yell at me to where I told him to stop talking to me since I apparently can't talk to you about the vehicles I don't need you yelling at me because you have little man syndrome who's proud to display a gun on his hit in an attempt to intimidate someone. He proceeded to talk to my spouse. He eventually released the vehicle not before saying he called the police after we told him that this whole situation had been unprofessional. Long story short this man scammed 335.50 for a tow that was 3mils from their shop during company hrs with only having the vehicle for 12hr max. read more

Can't even give this place one star. It starts out with horrible customer service, despite me having phone records and witnesses to conversations with the driver, the rude lady couldn't, wouldn't and didn't even listen to me.
