I found American Way through Yelp. They had great reviews so hired them to look at my washing machine. It was making a loud noise when running through the spin cycle. Vic the technician looked at my washer and determined there was a crack in the drum. In the end it would be too costly to repair so I decided to purchase a new washer. As much as I didn't want to get a new one, it was over ten years old and wasn't worth spending the costs for the part and installation. Vic did a great job and was very professional. I actually had two problems with my gas oven/stove. The oven didn't heat up (at all) and one of the gas stove burners was very weak. Vic was able to diagnose and fix both problems quickly. He took extra care to test everything a few times after repairs were made which I appreciated. I even received a text message when they were en route that allowed me to track the ETA. My washing machine leaked after a cycle which prompted the request for service, but after thorough review (several different tests), the machine we couldn't replicate it. We ultimately realized it was a plumbing problem. I appreciated that Vic was willing to test as many things as he could think of when the issue wasn't easily apparent. I would highly recommend Vic for his responsiveness, competence and sincerity. I recently had him over to look at a misfiring stove igniter. He was very responsive and communicative over email and Yelp to schedule. He spent time diagnosing the issue and then advised me that my best course of action was to purchase a lighter rather than attempt a complicated repair, given how the stove and oven are placed in my kitchen. Though I would have paid him for his time, he declined his fee since he thought he hadn't been able to help me. It is hard to find this level of service in this day and age. First call no answer... Its System sends me an automatic text msg asking me to book online... so i go to their website.... i book online using my Boston City ZIPCODE ... then a few hours later... the system cancels the appointment... (another text message)....it then asks me to contact them.... then a few hours later... get another Unprofessional one liner text and I quote here... "as stated on our web site we do not service this zipcode" .... sigh... why would they let me book online with my ZIPCODE that they do not service???? Dont even bother with these AMERICAN *NO WAY* SERVICES.... go call someone else who actually cares enough to personally answer your phone call... Shady business practice and frustrating experience... Then instead of apologizing for the inconvenience... he sends me Text messages saying he wouldn't service my *SHITTY* request.... such a vile person... Would you allow this person in your home???
