Unfortunately I still had problems so called Ryan back, puzzled. When Ryan came back he had already researched the issue. It was the part itself, and an ongoing class action suit from the manufacturer. He shared the information and I was able to pursue a return. He also took the time to confirm that everything he had done was correct and that the oven was working as well as it could be. I appreciate his honesty and willingness to go above and beyond. I reached out to Ryan because my fridge/freezer had been malfunctioning for a while and I couldn't take it anymore. He came by and suggested that we replace 3 different things in the fridge- control panel, sensor, and gaskets. After completing the job, we learned that unfortunately the fridge was not fixed and I would need to buy a new fridge. I was having problems with my washing machine and reached out to a few different repair companies in my area. Most places were unavailable to come diagnose the issue for at least a week. Stocker Appliance Repair responded quickly and was able to come out the next day--AND give me an exact appointment time rather than a window. Ryan (the repair technician) was right on time, diagnosed the issue within the first ten minutes, and fixed it right then and there. He stayed to run the washer and show me that it was working properly. It came to $140 for the diagnostic visit and labor (not bad at all). My refrigerator had an error code on for awhile which was linked to compressor issues. I requested quotes through Yelp and came across Stocker Appliance Repair. Ryan responded right away with a reasonable price to come and check on the compressor despite current issues surrounding COVID-19. He took the proper social distancing and PPE precautions when he came into my house. He explained everything to me in detail and followed up the following day to see how things were going. The compressor was previously running constantly but after he came it stopped doing so. Although Ryan was prompt at getting back at me and coming quickly to fix my dryer, he was arrogant. He tried to upsell me for parts that didn't need to be replaced. He said that although some parts were fine and didn't need replacing now, they would need replacing in the future. His estimate was $450, and it costed me $95 just for a consultation. I ended up declining the rest of his expensive services and buying a new dryer on sale for $550. read more
