I did a whole house window replacement, around 10 windows and a sliding door. Replaced with Milgard vinyl You would not believe the difference it made in sun, temperature, and sound insulation. A few years later, it seems like some of the old wood at the house may have taken off some of the sealant around the window and started a leak. I dreaded replacing my patio doors for so long but now that it's done my only regret was why didnt I do it sooner instead of leaving a .25 inch gap for smoke and bugs to come through?! Mark came onsite and gave us a quote for new construction or just replacing patio doors. Fast responses via email. Deposit due via check or Venmo once we made our decision to move forward. Patio doors ordered. A month later we were notified doors have arrived and could install the next day. We didn't even have to arrange time but they were courteous enough to start after 9am. Lined their pathways with sheets and covered our personal stuff that might get debris on it. I didn't see it but I think I heard them vacuum once they were done too. Bad customer service. They are not reading requests, and waste time communicating. I clearly requested for a quote to replace a panel by filling out a form through Yelp. The owner messaged me back asking if I want to replace one panel or the whole window. -_-. I responded that I wanted a quote for one panel, and then received a response back saying they can't do one panel and can only replace a whole window. And that's it folks. No "Would you like a quote for a whole window instead?" Or an explanation of why, or "here are services we do offer". No offer for a ball park range or a schedule to consult? I was willing to replace the whole window if they showed me a little more decency. Had a whole different experience with a handful of other businesses via Yelps request form. We recently hired Mark and his team to replace a set of four old aluminum windows with a retrofit of Milgard Tuscany windows. I got a few quotes, but Mark's was really reasonable, and he had great reviews on Yelp, so I gave it a shot. I'm very pleased with how the installation went. Serge and Alan came to my house right on time, wearing masks and making sure to remove their shoes inside my home. They were courteous, clean, and very detail-oriented. You could tell that they took pride in their work and wanted to make sure everything looked perfect. I really appreciated that they made sure the window was spotless and that they took extra time to make sure they had cleaned up every single bit of glass on the floor. I have a toddler at home, so this was very much appreciated. I don't really have a before picture but if you could imagine I was living with three broken windows literally broken windows and now I have brand new windows. None of these windows were square for these guys. They came, they squared up the frames they put in shims they calked and finished the product they made sure that the windows opened seamlessly closed and locked perfectly. We received quotes from about 5 different vendors for a fairly large project for our new home (28 windows of varying shapes and sizes + 2 sliding doors retrofit). To be honest, when Mark originally came by for the initial measurement for the quote I did not think that things would work out with the company but he did email us a quote a few days later that came in significantly lower than every other vendor so we moved forward. I am so happy that we did go with Mark and American Windows Center! He came by again and was very thorough in explaining our window choices, his recommendations, and how the whole process would play out from ordering to permit. The install team was very efficient in getting things installed as quickly as possible and without any issues that we've noticed. The manufacturer sent a window that had a crack in it and Mark personally got this resolved within a few days. Again, Mark and team were great to work with. I would absolutely use these guys again and would urge everyone to at the very least contact these guys while going through the quote and vendor selection process. I reached out to multiple windows installation companies and received quotes from three of them. These guys came in with the lowest quote and were able to find us a window that would work with our bathroom, which has a very narrow opening. The other companies' quotes were higher and did not even include this window, since they could not find any option for replacing it. American Windows Center also accommodated our request to have a separate vendor for our sliding door versus the windows. The bathroom window required yet another vendor, meaning we had three different windows manufacturers in play. This was no problem for these guys, they were happy to do it. The results are amazing. We had our windows replaced as retrofit, and you would never know the difference with how they look. The windows sit perfectly flush into the existing openings and are air tight. We noticed a difference right away with keeping the heat of the day out of the house. Our old aluminum single pane windows would let the upstairs get so hot, exceeding 100 degrees. Not so with the nice new double pane vinyl windows, it is only slightly warm upstairs and actually tolerable. The workers were very efficient and completed the job ahead of schedule. They thought it might take up to 2 full days, but were finished by noon the second day. They took down the blinds and put them back up, leaving no trace of their work. With the sliding door, they took down some of the molding and also replaced that, doing a fantastic job in making sure there is no damage or sign of the trim being removed. read more

Mark came through for us 100% while doing a whole house renovation last year. The conditions were not the best. The pandemic was raging, we mistakenly waited too long to order windows and there were significant supply chain issues affecting every window vendor we talked to. I bought my condo a few years ago, and knew at some point I would need to change the window's. I started shopping for new window's after my first brutal California winter. All jokes aside, window shopping was tough. I called a few businesses and they would come out and give me quotes, but the customer service just wasn't satisfactory. It was until I mentioned to a friend how hard of a time I was having finding a window installation service, when she mentioned American Window Center and how happy they were with the service and pricing. I called American Window's Center, and they scheduled a time to come take a look at my unit. The best part was Mark was extremely punctual, which is a very important quality for me. He was honest and genuine and I just felt comfortable working with him. I thought they were extremely reasonably priced and competitive - the highest selling point to me was when I explained to him about the HOA and their restrictions with how they want the units to look from the outside and he was understanding, and said it was no big deal. While other companies hiked up the price when they found out about my challenging HOA, American Window's didn't, in fact it was comforting that they knew the complex and the regulations and have previously installed window's there. We were lucky to find American Windows and Doors through a contractor. We replaced a patio glass door, and three windows in a condominium. After interviewing four local window experts and getting quotes that were up to three times higher for this work, we chose AW&D based on the knowledgeable staff that came to provide us a quote. Not only were mark and Simon knowledgeable about their product but they walked first me, then the representatives from the condo association through the construction process. My neighbors were so impressed with the product and the education provided by AW&D that a number of others in the condo association have signed up to get their windows done as well. AW&D have good 15-20 year long relationships with local window manufacturers and had great knowledge about the products offered. They helped us find a vinyl window (required by the HOA) that fit our budget with the features we wanted. I am sure they will work with other windows but I trusted them to bring my business to local manufacturers who offered great features and warranties on and the product. Instillation was relatively fast and minimally disruptive (well, they basically took down a wall of glass and added a new wall of glass - that's pretty tough to do without disruption). I wanted to re-do 8 windows and 5 interior doors and 1 exterior door for our house. I scheduled 3 different companies I found all yelp (all good reviews). I thought I knew which one I wanted to go with until Yuri arrived as the last appointment. Yuri stood out because I felt like I could trust that they would do a good job. I am not looking for the highest end or the lowest, but I am looking for value. When the quotes came in, they were also the lowest. Mark was the installer and he came by to do final measurements and any changes. We signed the contract and the lead time was to be 3-6 weeks and 2-3 days to get the job done. He said these were on the high end of the estimates. Sure enough, we were ready in about 4 weeks and the job was done in 2 days. I recently did a whole remodel of my house (everything, floors, walls, ceiling, electrical, kitchen, bath, everything) so I know what to expect. Well, I inspected everything very closely and there really wasn't anything to complain about. I was happy that the job was done to specification, on time and for a good price. Our old glassdoor, which we for 8 years, started to have problems, there was an increasing amount of moisture/condensation that would build up in between the glass panes. It was an old, single-pane window, that had couple of sections with broken glass, so it was time to replace the whole window. I contacted American Windows Center to help replace 2 windows and a sliding patio door. The 2 installers from American Windows Center arrived within the 2 hour time window and they immediately went to work removing my sliding glass door. They both worked quickly and efficiently to remove the screens, pop out the sliding portions of the windows, and cut away the glass that remained on the windows. I live on the second floor and they lifted the new sliding glass frame and fixed glass over the balcony! All of the windows and the sliding door were leveled and trimmed out. I noticed they spent quite a bit of time being sure the glass door slid back and forth effortlessly and that the locking mechanism functioned properly. Upon completion, they vacuumed all of the work areas, swept up the entire balcony, removed all the stickers from the windows, and took out any trash that remained. He didn't have to come back out to do measurements since he had already gotten them the first time, and about a month later his team showed up and removed our old, single pane windows, and replaced them with modern, high quality, dual pane windows, getting all 9 of them done in 1 day (with an additional few hours the next day to finish caulking the outside). They did a thorough job cleaning up both the inside and outside, and hauled the old windows away. I was skeptical about replacing our windows but after they were done we noticed the difference immediately both in noise reduction and insulation, and I gotta say our windows look great! As detailed elsewhere on other reviews, I have a small duplex and it is difficult to get some contractors to even come out. I needed one old wooden window replaced with a Milgard vinyl window. Mark came out, took measurements, send an estimate and we moved forward. The window fabrication took a lot of time, but that is Milgard's issue, not American Windows Center's fault. When the window arrived in their warehouse, we scheduled the installation (that was seamless). Mark was there for the install. Not a complaint from me on how any of this was handled. When we bought our house it had really old skylights installed, you know the ones with chicken wire glass. The original skylights were single pane, allowing a lot of noise to come in from the outside. American windows center replaced our skylights with triple pane insulated glass.
