Booked this hotel back in Feb for BFF's annual birthday trip (usually to PS or Cat City) but we…read morewanted to go to a different city. The price was excellent (381.00 for a suite for 3 nights) & we ended up getting a 2 bedroom suite instead of a one bedroom for the same price! The entire property was very clean and serviced very well (on-site service changing light bulbs and other maintenance items). Property is older (furniture, some light staining on carpets, etc); however, room was very comfortable. Our suite had a kitchen (minus the stove) and all the cookware but oddly they did not provide reg dish soap or dishwashing detergent. Property offers a small gym as well as a laundry room (which is complimentary, albeit due to the military personnel staying there) so that was awesome! The downside was both were not very clean and it did not seem like employees spent much time cleaning them (they adjoined each other). Washers and dryers worked really well though! There is an outdoor pool with tables and BBQ grills, which was very nice if you are planning on doing some cooking. They also have a complimentary breakfast every morning and it was pretty decent with different types of egg dishes and either bacon or sausage, waffle fries/potatoes, waffle station, juice machine, a variety of breads, yogurt, granola, cereal, coffee. Plenty of tables to sit at and the employees kept everything stocked and clean. Front desk team was amazing and super friendly! They never felt like you were bothering them and were so kind, warm, and welcoming. Rooms were not supposed to be serviced, just light housekeeping on certain days but our room was. I believe parking is 10.00/day which I feel it should not be as it is in a regular area and plenty of parking, but, hey, it was still very affordable for all the amenities and excellent service. The property is also fairly close to downtown and if you have some time you can take their free BRIO transit buses to downtown (approx 33 min). We used LYFT most of the time to avoid having to find parking and the hassle of getting a large SUV rental (all the agency had). Definitely recommend this place!

The kitchenette is sufficient to longer stays. Front desk staff weren't always at the front desk and in the back but when I went to the front desk, they noticed me immediately. But one lady wasnt the most friendly. The bad...as i mentioned i went to the front desk a few times. My keycard would stop working randomly. It was extremely frustrating. It happened to me 3 times in my 2 nigjt stay. There were crumbs outside in the hallway in front of my door upon my arrival. I stayed 2 nights, the crumbs were there upon my departure which tells me the staff doesnt vacuum daily or even every other day. The food in the morning was cold and dry. I arrived at midnight via Uber from the airport so I just wanted to go shower and straight to bed. I was hungry the next morning. The waffle maker timer is broken so I had to estimate how long is was cooking my waffles before I noticed it wasnt counting down. Lastly, there was a bug in my room...ill stop short of identifying it as a roach but ive attached a photo.

The bedding did not get changed. I asked them again and they gave me bedding to change it myself. When I took the sheet off, I saw a large urine stain on the mattress protector. So I just took that off. Then I went to wash my hands and there was no soap. I had to go back downstairs and request that as well. They did give me an extra bottle of water for my troubles though. The room was pretty run down and clearly not well cleaned. The shower curtain rod sagged in the middle so I couldn't close the shower curtain when I showered and got water everywhere. The towels were very stiff, had a bit of a smell to them and were stained. I honestly didn't want to use them. The gym was decent. 2 treadmills, 2 electrical, and a peleton. Breakfast was not so great. I had a made to order omelet but it just wasn't good. Neither was anything else I tried. I did appreciate that the mattress was a softer one instead of the firm mattresses you usually get at hotels. And the water for showers did get really hot which I love. I booked a room next to the stairwell as I prefer stairs to the elevator but the stairwell exit/entrance is on the outside with no re-entry. So you can go down them but can't go up them. I didn't get a chance to go to the daily evening reception but it looked pretty popular. All in all, this hotel needs some TLC and I would advise anyone to book accommodations elsewhere.

I really wanted to have a positive experience at Embassy Suites by Hilton El Paso, but…read moreunfortunately, this has been one of the most frustrating hotel stays I have experienced. I am here for work for a total of nine nights, and within the first five days there has been an issue nearly every single day. The problems actually began at check in. My company had already prepaid for my room, but I was initially told that my personal card would be charged for the entire nine night stay. I was then told I would personally be responsible for a deposit of more than $200. It took approximately an hour to get everything straightened out. I later learned that my company had actually been charged twice for the room and had to have one of the charges reversed. On Monday, the air conditioning in my room was not working properly. When I called the front desk, I was actually told, "It's working, it's just not working well." That was the response to an acknowledged problem with the AC. Tuesday night, the smoke detector began chirping and disrupted my sleep. Wednesday brought a much more concerning problem. I was riding the elevator to the 7th floor when it stopped at my floor, but the doors did not open. I had to press the open door button several times before they finally opened and I was able to get out. Shortly afterward, I was told that the elevator was out of service and stuck on the 7th floor. It remained that way overnight. Housekeeping also did not service my room that day. Thursday night, at around midnight, my room phone rang three separate times from the front desk. They were trying to reach Room 801. I am in Room 702. After several long workdays, being repeatedly awakened around midnight because the front desk was calling the wrong room was incredibly frustrating. Then came Friday. I woke up to no running water. I tried calling the front desk and received no answer. I contacted the hotel through the Hilton app and received no response there either. I eventually went downstairs and found a small sign at the front desk saying that the water had been shut off because of an emergency. That small sign was the only notice I personally saw anywhere in the hotel. There had been no notification to my room or through the app that I saw. One or two inconveniences during a long hotel stay are understandable. Things break. Emergencies happen. But this has been one problem after another: billing confusion and a duplicate charge, malfunctioning AC, a chirping smoke detector, missed housekeeping, an elevator malfunction while I was inside it, three unnecessary midnight phone calls, no running water, unanswered calls to the front desk, and poor communication about the water shutoff. For someone staying here for work, these aren't insignificant inconveniences. I need to be able to sleep, shower, get ready for work, and return at the end of the day to a safe and functioning hotel room. There is, however, one person who deserves tremendous recognition: Antonio, one of the housemen. Antonio has been the bright spot of this stay. I have personally watched him go above and beyond to make guests feel welcomed and appreciated. He is friendly, attentive, hardworking, and genuinely seems to care about the people staying here. In a stay filled with problems, his hospitality has stood out even more. I don't want the problems with this property to take anything away from an employee who is doing an exceptional job. Antonio deserves recognition at the highest level Hilton can provide. He represents exactly the kind of hospitality I expected when staying with Hilton. He is the only reason I am giving this location 2 stars. Unfortunately, one outstanding employee cannot compensate for the number of operational, maintenance, communication, and safety issues I have experienced during this stay. At this point, with several nights of my reservation still remaining, I should not be wondering what is going to go wrong next. I sincerely hope Hilton and the management of this property take these concerns seriously, particularly the elevator and smoke detector issues, and recognize Antonio for being an exceptional representative of hospitality despite everything happening around him.

There were some things I genuinely liked about this hotel and some things that made it clear I…read morewon't be returning. Let's start with the positives: The breakfast was surprisingly good. The gentleman working the breakfast area was incredibly kind and frequently checked on guests. The manager (jet-black hair and a big black mustache) was also very friendly and welcoming. There's a Starbucks right in the parking lot. The lobby and exterior were attractive and well-maintained. You can tell someone takes pride in the property's appearance. Unfortunately, the guest rooms told a different story. Our first night was spent in a double queen room where the towels smelled strongly of mildew and the heater took forever to warm the room. For the remainder of our stay, we moved into a king suite with a rollaway bed. Initially I was excited. More space, bigger bed, huge closet, and even a balcony! Then reality set in. The balcony was filthy and the view wasn't exactly something I'd call scenic. The bathroom doorknob was broken, the bathroom door didn't fit properly in the frame, and the ceiling was actually coming down. Every time the door opened or closed it scraped against the ceiling. There was also a leak under the sink, forcing us to use our bath towels to soak up water. The biggest disappointment, however, was the housekeeping staff. Several employees appeared visibly irritated when we declined room service early one morning. One employee became noticeably upset and began loudly speaking in Spanish while looking directly at me. When I asked if there was a problem, the answer was "No." Whether there was a misunderstanding or not, the interaction felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. I reported it to the front desk, but it seemed to be brushed aside. Overall, the hotel staff at the front desk and breakfast area were wonderful, but the condition of the room and the housekeeping experience overshadowed the positives.

There were definitely some highlights: the restaurant was excellent, and the orange juice was genuinely some of the best I've ever had. The valet service was fantastic as well--I never had to worry about parking, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The gym was also well-equipped, with towels provided, a good variety of equipment, and even a Pilates machine. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk staff, particularly a morning employee named Edgar, left a very negative impression. On more than one occasion, I returned to the hotel and stood outside the entrance for 15-20 minutes waiting to be let in. He had seen me leave earlier and could clearly see me waiting at the door, yet made no effort to assist. Beyond that, his overall demeanor came across as passive-aggressive and unwelcoming. It's disappointing because the rest of the property and staff were great, and I genuinely enjoyed many aspects of my stay. However, customer service at the front desk is a major part of the guest experience, and this behavior was completely unacceptable. I would consider staying here again, but management should address this issue if they want guests to feel welcomed and valued.

Then, at approximately 4 AM on 9/6, someone attempted to enter my room. They were able to get past the deadbolt, and only the interior wall latch prevented them from fully entering. They tried twice to open and only left when I yelled "wrong room". I was terrified. After already having housekeeping enter my room because of an incorrect room status, having someone get past the deadbolt in the middle of the night completely destroyed my sense of safety. I had to leave and pay out of pocket for another hotel. Brianna, the employee who checked me in and whose check-in error led to the overnight security breach, was also rude and unapologetic when I checked out the following day. Given the seriousness of what happened, I expected concern, accountability, and an apology. Management also never called me to f/u. Despite having to leave because I no longer felt safe, my stay has not been refunded, and I was left paying for both the original stay and alternative accommodations. This was not a minor customer service issue. Multiple errors resulted in unauthorized access to an occupied room, including someone getting past the deadbolt at 4 AM. I would not stay at this property again. Management needs to seriously review its room status, check-in, key access, and guest safety procedures.
