We had the best visit at Americana! We surprised our son with a last minute trip up North! He was sooo excited when he saw this place. (Especially the room!) Our room felt very clean. We made s'mores at the fire pit then played corn hole. The hotel is close to all our favorite food places. We also went to Lowell Observatory which was a lot of fun too. My man and I stayed at this hotel and this was our first time here and we loved it! The vibe here is amazing. We love the look! They had corn hole, and they had hammocks all around to chill on! The pool however was covered during our stay so we didn't use the pool. They even have bikes you can use to ride around! You just have to sign a waiver. The staff was super friendly as well. It was easy check in and easy check out, they also have a breakfast spot next to the office but it's walk up and you either eat in your room or the outside eating area they have. Cute motel that's been remodeled. I'm huge into reuse & recycle, and I love this idea. Heated pool, bacci ball, cornhole, hammocks, and fire pits. There's a mixture of everything. I love the design, we walked into our room and first see the disco ball in the corner. The motel is furnished well for the theme. This is a cute property for 1-2 nights, but not more. It's a small property that is more about image than what it's worth. It might be more worth it if you have a dog with their lenient policies. So here's the good and bad.... We stayed for 3 nights, it was cute but small. There is only one bedside table in the middle of the room, with minimal outlet access near the bed . The walls are thin, you could hear every step of the people upstairs and the ceiling squeaked. There were only two bath towels provided with 2 towels for a double queen room. We stopped by to see if we could check in early and the desk clerk said they'd text us if our room became ready early. We never got a text so we showed up at 4 and she greeted us again. While checking us in, she admitted she forgot to text us to tell us our room had been ready. Not a big deal, but the start of an example about the lack of attention to detail. The room comes with a fridge, however it is TINY! It is meant to fit a 6 pack and does not have a freezer. This is not disclosed online. The property is pretty, they clearly have put work into making it a vibe filled place to hangout. There is a heated pool and a pool bar, plus a taco bar! The fire places are a nice touch and we enjoyed them each evening. The battery went out in our smoke detector one afternoon and they responded quickly to get it replaced . The staff were responsive when we needed anything! The parking lot however needs some attention. There is a speed bump in the middle of the parking lot that multiple cars bumped into in the time we stayed. There are chunks missing from the bottom of peoples cars hitting it from how it's built. Overall, it's a cute place for Instagram pictures but not worth staying more than a night or two. read more

First the good: this is an incredibly affordable hotel, with comfortable rooms and lots of parking. The theme is really fun. Love the disco balls! Large walk-in showers, bikes and telescopes to borrow (though it was very tricky to set up the telescope), and there are fire pits and lawn games that might be fun in the summer. You also get welcome drinks--water or PBR (or both), and there's a cute gift shop with astronaut-themed snacks. My biggest complaint is that the on-site restaurant apparently randomly closes, so if you're planning on relaxing at the hotel after a long drive, might be best to pack a cooler just in case! read more

This hotel is unique, clean, with great front desk staff, remodeled (it appears) rooms, and nice outdoor activities (cornhole and a nice hotel pool you would actually want to use). The hotel staff had great(!) communication, were really friendly on check-in, and even stored some packages I had delivered. The hotel has bikes you can borrow. We Love Booking Boutique Hotels during our travels! There's something about a quirky, artsy space that someone strategically designed to have an experience, that is clean, but fun. We wanted something reasonable in price for a quick day trip. This one looked fun, had good amenities, and plenty of parking. We got a "welcome drink" upon arrival (PBR) and settled in for the night. Room was clean, close parking, and fire pits were available on site. There's a heated pool, and a taco joint on site as well (vegan options and hours are limited). A few things I want to share that I didn't love about this place: 1. Walls are very thin. We were on floor level and heard not only walking above us, but also our neighbors TV until late hours 2. Robes were touching the ground when hanging 3. AC did not work well; it cycled a lot, but had a hard time cooling the room down to even 74 degrees 4. We found a baby centipede in our bathroom, while barefoot. Given there had been a lot of rain recently, and that causes insects to come out. He was squished, but I would not have appreciated our toddler getting stung. Overall, this was a fun little room for the night, but I would have struggled to get through another. read more

The hotel itself is very cute. The lobby and check in area is decorated nicely and the staff was nice and very helpful with suggestions of things to do in Flagstaff. The room is also decorated very cutely, but as others have mentioned, the walls are paper thin. We are on the first floor and we can hear every step taken upstairs. We arrived late, but our room was available. Honestly, I am not a fan of this motel. The entire property is very dimly lit. There is a very high sidewalk that was not only dangerous, but very hard to climb up especially if you are handicapped. Sure there is a ramp at the long way from your room or where you park. My husband has difficulty walking long distances, and we both have handicap placards, but there is NO HANDICAP PARKING!!!!!!' The carpet in the room is digusting, tiny tiny refrigerator, and wood textured wallpaper everywhere. Good News-the shower is fantastic!!! I would stay at this hotel again for sure. Angelica and Dominic provided good customer service in getting my semi complicated reservation set up and ease of check in upon arrival. The picnic area was a surprise and super enjoyable on my 3 days there. The swimming pool was heated and clean, also very inviting. I sat at the picnic tables and worked on my crafts and people watched, very peaceful and relaxing. Room was very comfortable and even had a fridge, I wasn't expecting that, oh and the ice chest, used that too for my ice water, tea and "spirits". There are snacks and drinks available in the lobby and food available on site as well. The restaurant cook and his adorable little helper were very friendly and quick with my lunch one day. My only 2 cons are, waiting for the lobby to open at 8am for coffee, maybe move the coffee machine to the microwave room? And a patch of grass somewhere for the 4 legged furr babies? Other than that, no complaints, thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I will be back. read more

Currently staying here and we had to go to the front desk to have our door open because due to the freezing weather, the locks won't work. Mind you, this happened TWICE. If they know this is an issue about locks not working, why won't do something about it? The property itself it's nice and retro. But the rooms are not practical to stay, mainly for aesthetics. 1. There is no phone in the room to call room service, 2. The fridge is tiny can barely fit anything 3. The walls are so thin, you can hear anything and everything. Believe the other reviews. It calls itself a 'motor hotel' but don't be fooled, it's a motel. Sitting on Route 66 in Flagstaff, AZ, it takes on the retro hipster vibe with a few extras. The two story motel serpentines along a large parking area opposite an outdoor lounge with fire pit and a pool area with a bar. There's even a built-in Mexican restaurant, next to the front lobby/check in area. The motel is done up in the colors and decor of hipster kitsch. I booked a queen room online (or so I thought), but when I checked in I was told it was a full room and there were no queen rooms available. The full room was cozy, (read: small), and came with lots of 'Route 66' fixins. The room also had mugs and even an embroidered bathrobe you could buy at a price that even made the front desk staff roll their eyes. The shower was decent in a very small bathroom and the fridge was a joke, with barely enuf room for a bottle of water and no freezer whatsoever. The A/C worked well, pretty much a necessity in this part of the country. The bed was comfy and the room was clean, as was the entire motel area, There are lots of extras, like bikes you can borrow, or maybe they make you pay for them? I don't know, I didn't indulge. They even give you a couple of bottles of fancy water or a can of beer when you check in. I did try their internet connection which is unsecured (no password) and had no luck, when I called the front desk, they gave me the password to the staff connection and that worked just fine. Overall a nice, clean motel that is obviously taken care of, with an outstanding staff. It's a busy motel as well, so book ahead and pay attention when choosing a room. read more

What a great motel! They do it the way things used to be done, they care. I stayed an extra night just because I was so comfortable here. They are do friendly too. A big plus if you're traveling with your pet. As I was leaving town I went to a local station to fill up and buy sodas and ice. While I was busy my dog chewed through his leash and took himself for a walk in Flagstagg. I didn't notice socwent back to the motel to continue loading. It was then i noticed the missing dog. I got so distracted that i drove off and left my duffel bag in my room. The Americana staff went out of their way to UPS my duffel ahead to my destination. This is a new business, not to be confused with the old Americana Inn. That place was gutted and reborn as the retro, kitsch, hipstery Americana Motor Hotel. Grabbing onto the location on the historic Route 66 and the space-related history of Flagstaff (did you know every astronaut who has walked on the moon has trained in Flagstaff?), Americana is a mixture of the old with a coat of the new added on top. In addition to completely renovated rooms, they added a pool, fire pits, hammocks, and a dog park. There is even a burgers and beers-type snack shop coming soon. We came here knowing that they were pretty new, only taking guests since late July, so we expected something shiny and new. It was ... kind of. But there were also enough hiccups that I wasn't super happy with our stay. Thankfully, they listened, they cared, and I believe they are going to fix them. That speaks volumes to me. The issues we had were sort of a running tally... We had inconsistencies with hot water, terrible access to the wifi (I did a Speedtest and you could not work from there if you needed to), and the noise from the room above us was so loud that it actually woke us up both at night and in the morning. Also, the speed bump on the property is so high that even going under 5 mph, a smaller car will likely bottom out on it. We actually thought we had damaged our medium-sized sedan! And I wouldn't really expect frills. There were minimal toiletries (full sized basics, but nothing like cotton balls or Q-tips), there was only one single-serve coffee pod for two guests for two nights (!!). Housekeeping seemed a little overworked. We only were offered service once, when we were in the process of changing, so we couldn't answer, and as a result never got fresh towels or clean cups. (So, snooze or lose when it comes to housekeeping.) We had to ask for the welcome drink mentioned in the paperwork. (Also, spoiler: It is not alcoholic, which is fine.) Also, there was supposedly a "welcome party" for their "launch weekend" the weekend we were there they proudly advertised on their Instagram, and we were neither invited nor even made aware it was happening. But don't get me wrong - there were also really good things about this place. It is cute as heck. I love what they are doing with the retro vibe, and I hope more places catch on to this. There is a ton of parking, and in most cases, you can pull right up in front of your door. (Although beware of having anyone upstairs if you do not sleep like the dead.) They are also VERY pet friendly. They didn't even ask about our small dog, much less charge us an exorbitant fee to bring him like a lot of other properties might. The decor is super cute with messages like "We're all made of stars" and every room has a disco ball, which is so fun! The fire pits are nice on a cool night, and the pool is heated year-round, so that will be fun for a lot of people. The thing that makes me round up on this property was that when I let them know at check out, they really listened to me. I appreciate that so much. The hot water was my biggest concern because a comfortable bed and a hot shower are the baselines I expect for a hotel, and they had even tried to fix it during our stay. There were a lot of other things that added up, and they wanted to know them. So, they took care of me, and I appreciate that. That makes me more likely to return when I am back in Flagstaff, especially if traveling with my dog. read more

Offer of a PBR at check-in was nice, and the room had a great vibe ("We are all made of star stuff" over the bed, disco ball with a switch to make it spin, vintage photos). This was our third time at the hotel. Having to write this review based on our experience is very shocking. We arrived about an hour and a half before check-in time and were told that our room was not ready. We sat outside in the chairs next to the pool area and watched four different people go into the lobby and check in while we sat outside for an hour and a half waiting.  Went back in to the lobby a second time after we saw people going to their rooms and were told again that the room was not available and we had to wait. We were literally sitting right across the parking lot from the room they ended up trying to give us and there was no one going in or out of that room during the entire time we had sat outside so they were dishonest about the fact that the room was not ready because it sat empty the whole time we were there waiting. There was no maid cart in sight and no doors were open to the room. They were all closed the entire time. Bad start! The room they did try to give us was on the first floor next to the front office. Probably one of the most undesirable places to have a room in that area. Our reservation was for a second floor room, oh and the reservation was made four plus months ago.   When we pointed out to the girl helping us that we had reserved specifically a second floor room, she lied and said no other rooms were available.  The girl helping us also lied and said that the reservation was made for a first floor room. We pulled the Orbit's reservation and showed her on the phone that that was not the case. The manager finally came over when he heard us discussing the error on the reservation, he looked at the girl and said just switch their room, put them upstairs and move somebody else downstairs. Voila, problem solved! After after our unfortunate experience, just trying to check in. We came across several issues in the room. Our bath towels were left on the counters and hung up and they were still wet-GROSS! In the shower and bath area we found black bugs crawling on the walls and window. Then in the bedroom area we found them climbing on the ceiling. The dispensers for soap and shampoo in the shower were empty. The toilet seat wasn't set properly on the porcelain bowl which led to a exciting ride each time you sat down to use the toilet. The lighting in the room that had to be turned on manually was all unplugged so we had to plug everything in to be able to use the lights. As you will see by some of the reviews on here, the walls in this place are paper thin. If your neighbor has their TV turned up at all, you hear everything through the walls. And yes, those who have animals and the barking is non-stop. Property Management does nothing about it and it's truly annoying. We arrived on a Friday and left on Sunday. Check out was 11:00 on Sunday. We had our do not disturb notice on the door and the maid came to our room in the morning knocking on the door. As a result of this experience, we will not be returning to this hotel and cautiously advise people to be aware when they check in here. read more

I enjoyed our stay here quite a lot. Hotel and everything is sleek retro and in great shape. It literally looks just like the photos on the website, which is rare. It's super dog friendly, which is really important to us since we travel with our furry friend. We were here mid week, so it wasn't very busy, but there was lots of staff around and they were all friendly. I do have a few points for management that could be improved. The coffee pot in the room is incredibly small and we were only given one pod of each regular and decaf. We like our coffee strong, and this just wasn't cutting it. However, the lobby has fresh coffee so we just walked over there in the morning. It was delicious. My second comment would be about the fenced dog area. It's a lovely thing to have, but the ground is covered with little pieces of wood mulch. They got stuck in between our dogs paw pads and she didn't like walking on them. She wouldn't play in that area. Finally, the wifi is not password protected. It's not smart to use, so I had to use my phone as a hotspot. My husband couldn't manage to log on through his phone. We both had some work to do while we were here, so it was a little inconvenient. Even with the little kinks, this is a great place to stay. The location makes it sound like it's a bit far out of town but it's really just a three minute drive and super easy. IHop is right next door so you can walk to breakfast, and Wallgreens is directly on the other side of the building so it's easy to get anything you've forgotten. Overall, this place, its vibe, and its staff are awesome. I would absolutely recommend this to others and we will definitely stay here again when we come through town. read more

Everything was just right! Upon checking in on 4/19/2024 we got our free drinks. Getting our drinks after driving for so many hours from Los Angeles was a treat! We got into our room and it was the cutest! I must have missed the part where it said there was a disco ball in our room. I was ecstatic that there was a disco ball and it just made me happier to be on my vacation. Beds and pillow were super comfy! Definitely easy to fall asleep on! I love the whole backyard setup w the pool, cornhole and firepits. We did not get a chance to get in the pool or play cornhole. We got to hang out at the firepits and met some people along the way. I actually took advantage of the free bicycle rental (4hrs) and rode around Flagstaff for a couple hours. Down the street is Walmart, Chick-Fil-A, Texas Roadhouse, Dutch Bros Co, Walgreens, and downtown Flagstaff. I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to anyone! read more

Absolute gem!! The style of this hotel is so retro and fun at a very nice price. It was an old hotel before that they renovated and they did a fantastic job, as it's extremely clean and also has great staff. The staff was kind and knowledgeable about the area which made us feel very comfortable. Upon arrival, you receive two complimentary drinks, as well as with your stay you can take the bikes at the front of the lobby on a ride! The check out time being 12 pm was definitely a huge plus, because it allowed time for relaxation which was appreciated! This was truly my poorest motel experience ever, but I'm not going to downgrade the rating lower then a three. Amenities - Super cute place, great theme, nice employees Restaurant - Good food, delivered to room, but got order wrong The poor part was that the room next to me had conversations that carried through the thin walls until 3 in the morning. Their dog also barked sporadically throughout the night. I called the after hours number at 1AM to ask them to deal with it, and had to leave a message with a service that was supposed to forward the message to onsite security. I never heard back, placed pillows over my head and finally fell asleep around 3:30AM. I was completely exhausted the next day of my vacation. I will likely not return. The manager (Lauren?) did reduce my bill by 10% and then a later refund of $50, which was a very nice gesture on her part, but does not replace my lost sleep, or re-assure me that if I ever returned, that their handling of future noise complaints will be handled well. read more
