So hesitant in cutting my little guy's hair because I wanted to keep it samurai long. However, change is good. And these guys made it so much easier to sit back and let them do their magic. Came to Americano Barber Co. based on a previous experience I had with J (who is an incredible barber, by the way). The experience was top-notch. 10/10 recommend. Super friendly group of guys (and girl). Came a few minutes early and was seated immediately. The atmosphere was super chill - comfy and modern with a very cool aesthetic. For those of you that have never been to a barber shop, are maybe anxious about the experience, or if this is your first time getting your hair cut short, I recommend coming here. Americano Barber Co employees have inconsistent prices. It brings a distaste to customer trust which challenges us to want to return. It's aesthetic is nice, classic but modern. However, my Barber charged me $35 for a haircut he gave my bf for $35 with a beard trim which the barber charged me $45 had I gone through with it. I have a bun and just wanted a fade..20 minutes tops. My bf got an entire haircut for $35 PLUS beard.. I had already known about the misleading prices and he proved he was just there to hassle me.. Neither my bf or I will be returning here. Not for the prices, not for the quality of haircut either. My fade was all choppy and he didn't even ask about my bun. Whatever. read more

New barber shop in the DTLBC area. Very nice and clean shop. Very approachable too. Some times going to a barber shop I can feel a little uneasy, usually the barber shops around here have a more punk/rock a billy vibe, which is cool, but sometimes you just want a good hair cut in a comfortable setting, and this place is just that. Cody does a great job with the actual cut. He puts a lot of detail and makes sure it's he cut you want. He is friendly and takes his time with the cut, but trying to rush onto the next person. Like many shops, he offers you a beverage while you wait or are getting cut. Music is good, more hip then alternative, but that's a good thing some times too. The prices are good and your first cut is even discounted right now. I'm getting married in a week, hence the hair cut, and Cody offered to clean up the cut for free if I stop by before the wedding. That's more then I was expecting and is a very solid way to earn a customer. All in all, great barber shop, great cut, and super solid dude. For sure a five star establishment! read more
