I've been going to Razorbacks for over 2 years and have consistently gotten my haircut. First off, the atmosphere of the place is awesome and super laid back. Carlos usually greets me at the door and is super friendly and makes an effort to make sure customers feel welcomed (we have consistently been given each other fist bumps every time I come in). I get my haircuts with Joel. He is always super consistent with what I want and the conversations are all ways fun (I am usually someone who likes to remain silent during a haircut but Joel makes the conversations interesting and fun - ranging from football, to his everyday life). Avoid Joel at all costs... Hands down the worst hair cut I've ever had. I wanted to like the guy because we had a few things in common but the entire experience was terrible. I showed him a picture of the haircut I wanted as well as a picture of the beard fade I was requesting. Nothing crazy, just fade it on the sides. I went in with a full beard around 3.5 inches long. Came out patchy and hacked up. He shaved off most of my beard which I did not ask for. On top of that, the quality of the cut was horrible. Not even sure how he managed to make it so bad. The beard was unsalvageable. I had no choice but to cut the entire thing off and start fresh. I'm now sitting at work with zero facial hair which I have not had since I was 16 years old. Looks ridiculous. As for the hair cut... where to begin... Asked for a fade and showed him a picture of how I was going to style it. The fade I got (if you can call it that) was just as patchy as the beard work. I have a huge bald patch across the back of my head. He left really long strands in the front that I had to cut with scissors myself. To top it off, he left both of my side hair lines completely different. One is buzzed about an inch higher than the other side. The other side, instead of being buzzed to match has about an inch of hair sticking straight out. Honestly dude... what the fuck is that? The guy completely butchered my whole get up. My family pointed out how bad it was as soon as I got home. The beard will grow back fine enough, in the meantime I'll look like a naked mole rat for a month or so. But the hair... I'm not even sure how I'll ask my usual guy to fix that. I'll have to grow it out for a couple months just to have enough for him to work with. Hopefully he can save it and fix my hairlines or I'll have to just buzz my head and start over with that, too. Also, as a few others pointed out... he's very unprofessional. Talks over you, negative and overbearing with his opinions. Generally off putting vibe. read more

I asked for a low fade and ended up with something closer to a low taper, though it wasn't even blended at the ear or neckline. The sides and back are generally 1 uniform length until you get close to the top and none of it was trimmed to the skin. I also didn't want anything taken off the top, but they went ahead and trimmed some of the curls from the top that were hanging close to the sides. I would love to give a GIGANTIC thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to Jackie for working her magic on my hair, today. Long review ahead: Skip to the "Read This" portion if you want what really matters the most. I found out about this place through a friend of mine, and went online to schedule an appointment, as they are preferred. Jackie's profile showed that she did design work, so I booked her. Upon arrival, I was immediately welcomed by her, checked in, and kindly asked to sit in the waiting area until she was finished. Can I just say, I absolutely love the aesthetic of this place! It's not your modern salon or what not. This place has a sick old-town vibe. Once I was in her barber's chair, I shyly asked for what she would recommend and as I was going TOO into detail about the style I was going for, she stopped me and said, "You're overthinking it. You're either gonna go for it, or you're not". And WOO-WEE! I absolutely needed that! With slight hesitation, I committed to the look. With the most perfect pressure, Jackie started cutting away at my already terrible haircut I got 2-weeks prior, that I so desperately needed to transform. She took her time and was very attentive to detail. She talked about why she wanted to do the look a certain way based off of what would compliment me and my head shape the most. When duplicating the work on the other side, Jackie made sure they were even, by standing in front of me multiple times to make sure it was even. Needless to say, Jackie puts in the time to make sure everything is perfect. Oh, and she also cleaned up my brows a bit with comb and clippers!! At the end of the cut, I agreed to let her take pictures of my rockin' haircut, and she noticed a spot that was out of place and she went back in to fix it. Truly freakin' amazing that she is so detail-oriented. She fixed the top of my hair with some product, and not gonna lie, I almost shrunk in my seat because I absolutely dislike my hair spiked up as I have been accustomed to hiding a majority of my forehead for YEARS. But, to be honest... I LOOKED FREAKIN' GOOOOOOODDD!!! It all just tied in so perfectly! READ THIS: I told Jackie that she gave me the best haircut I've had in two years, but to be honest, this is truthfully the best haircut I've received EVER! Today was the first time I could actually look at myself in the mirror and be relieved and so satisfied with my haircut. I have spent YEARS trying to find the perfect place and barber, but to no success. I've had decent haircuts, some good, but none that ever left me feeling like a whole badass straight out of the chair. No "post-cut hat" needed. Jackie will have you lookin' RIGHT! Needless to say, I've found my spot and my barber. My total came out to $60 ($50 w/tip) Online said $40 for the work, but I assumed that because I asked to have it on BOTH sides, there was an extra charge. I think it's $40 depending on what you get and if it's on one side of your head. EITHER WAY, MY HAIR CAME OUT LOOKIN' BOMB AS HELL SO BEST BELIEVE I PAID UP! The barber I had seemed a bit new and she really wasn't good with fading nor a straight razor and at end of the cut she didn't offer to style or show me how the back of my head looked... which should be a norm of a typical cut. Really disappointed because there were many great reviews of this place that I thought it would reach my expectations but I gotta do a little more research. For $30, you would assume the barbers would be very detailed. I showed the barber the picture that I wanted and asked if he's able to do this kind of haircut and he said yes. I would have appreciated if he was just honest and said he wasn't able to and he's not comfortable doing this type of hair. We could've collaborated and done something different. The barber also doesn't know how to do a clean fade or line up. The clippers they use are not for clean fades. He also didn't know how to use his blades because he barely lined me up properly. I asked him to do it again and it still wasn't good so I just gave up. Overall, if you're looking for a clean and professional haircut, This isn't it.
