I went to this salon because they have a kids pedicure chair. I wanted to treat myself to a full set. Tracy not only cut me 2 times. She cut me 4 times. The person in the front said she was "the best". My nails lifted within 3 days. She told me I could go in to fix them. But I work too much to go again. I should not have to go again if you know how to do nails correctly. She also was going to let me leave the salon with hair in my gel but she was okay with leaving me with crooked French tips. She repeatedly said nothing was wrong with them. It's astonishing how quality isn't apart of this salon. I also got a pedicure and they aren't the best either. I specifically asked for them to not use gel polish on my 4yo. She accidentally brushed her nail on something and I asked for them to fix it. They ended up putting gel on her at the end. Now after a week I am having to take off all my nails due to lifting. I don't understand how I got a discount (what the guy told me I got) $149 seems like the usual. She cut my skin while filing and drew blood. I asked for acrylic nail and I wanted a gray blue color. She showed me the perfect color that I wanted and then for some reason she changed her mind and proceeded to paint my nails with a repulsive painters-tape blue (she promised me it dried grey blue - I was lied to). She then started to paint my design which was a small goldfish. She used neon orange and I said that color is too neon and she ignored me. After all that there are bubbles, smears, and hair all under the polish. Not to mention, they never offered me a beverage until my nails were basically completed. I despise this business. I love this place for a pedicure!!!!! I have been coming here 20 + years. They were Ann Thy Nails, then Barbie Nails, and now American Nails & Spa. All the staff is great but Kim is my favorite, I love her!!!! She is kind and always does a great job on pedicures and provides excellent service. She gives you what you ask for and makes sure your skin is smooth and your polish is perfect before leaving. Tracy and Vicky are great at full sets. The spa is typically busy in the evening and weekends. So it is best to schedule an appointment or call ahead of time. Kim is worth the wait and the service. I had my feet done a few days ago at my usual nail spa Evon Nails in West Houston. Because of the cold I've been wearing closed in shoes so a few of my rhinestones fell off. I stopped at Americans Nails because I only needed to replace the stones on one toe. I paid less than $10 to put these stones on at Evon Nails. The guy at the front counter told me it was going to cost $29 per toe to put 8 tiny rhinestones on. That's insane. I had to laugh because this place is a joke. I just moved to the area a week ago from Maryland. I started searching through Yelp for a new nail salon that is close to my new home and had great reviews. This is when Americans Nails and Spa came up. I was debating another salon not too far from them (maybe a minute or two) but that salon had mixed reviews so I headed over to Americans I arrived just a few minutes after they opened since it's a Friday. I was looking to get a shellac manicure. I was pleased to see the grand selection they had. There was every possible color imaginable. I was set up with Winter and we got to it. Winter informed me that she had just gotten a new product that would remove my previous shellac without having to soak in acetone and file it off with the tools. It looked a lot like clear nail polish. She filed off the top coat and applied the remover. It was incredible. After 5 minutes the polish just lifted away. All she had to do was push it off and that was it. It was definitely so much nicer than the old way, especially since my hands didn't dry out and my nails weren't damaged with the file. Winter was very meticulous with every step of the manicure. I really appreciated that because so many times at my past salons it was rushed (even when it wasn't busy) and the techs would all do something different each time. It was refreshing to have someone who was careful with each step and each coat of polish. She was also very pleasant and personable. As for the spa itself, it was so nice and very clean. There were many manicure and pedicure stations that a large group of customers could be taken care of. There were a few TVs as well so customers could watch if they pleased. All of the techs wore a uniform top and it looked very professional. Most importantly, the gentleman who I believe is the owner was very pleasant and professional. He showed great customer service and ensured that I was taken care of. Overall I LOVE this spa. I don't need to look anywhere else. They've done a great job with their business and I can't wait to go back with my daughter. I know they'll treat her wonderfully and a heck of a lot better than she was at my last salon. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic nail salon. They will not disappoint you. You won't want to go anywhere else after you visit them. read more

Walked in and the excited owner greeted me and the kids with enthusiasm. He told me to go around the receptionist desk to pick a color. The selection was overwhelming, since I only wanted a simple Mani pedi. Since I've been using the OFF bug spray with DEET to keep the bugs away, it's been killing my nail game because the spray melts plastic so I didn't want gel, powder, shellac, or acrylics. They do have them there galore if you're into that, however. Once I picked up my color, Tyler, my nail techician escorted me over to my seat with 2 adjacent seats to deposit my kiddos and was patient enough to wait for me to set the kids up with some videos. He offered me water and asked me what I'd like, showing my the menu. I told him I just wanted a regular Mani Pedi and that I wanted my nails short and circular on the edges. I have some pretty gnarly ingrown nails and a lot of skin surrounding my cuticles and he was super gentle! Definitely one of the more detailed and thorough nail experience I've had in Texas yet! This is a new facility and they've been open 3 months, they're very clean and I saw every one using sterile equipment. Their chairs are large and very comfortable and has the most choices I've seen on a massage chair. Lol The bathrooms are clean and fresh smelling and the employees breakrooms are separate so you don't have to interrupt. 3 large curved TV screens positioned in the center and corners ensure that you can view them from a lot of angles and it's not obnoxiously loud. DON'T GO!!! I can't even give a star. This is the WORST experience I've had in a mani/pedi salon. I chose a classic pedicure that included foot soak, massage, cuticle treatment, warm leg wraps and of course paint. The lady spent 8 minutes start to finish. It looked like a kindergartner painted my toes. I had her come back and fix it. When we went to check out, we questioned the man at the counter. He said all that was on the old menu, but couldn't produce a new menu - they are on the way. He said he would take $10 off of the $33. We settled on $20, but frankly should have walked out without paying. He said it didn't matter if we walked out, he just worked there and would still get paid. This was my second time going to the nail salon, honestly the first time I went I wasn't all that excited with my nails. I got acrylic nails but the nail tech left them too thick, when I came back to get a refill the original nail tech wasn't there so another tech did my nails. She was more diligent and even mentioned how thick the acrylic was, she did a much better job getting my nail to look good where I was satisfied with her work. Went here for the first time because they're open later than most places which I appreciated. The place is beautiful! I got a pedicure and dip powder manicure. I didn't like that the polish to pick for pedicures were in individual boxes. You can't really get a good look at the color of the polish like you can when the polish bottles are out on display. The brand was something I had never heard of before and it was incredibly cheap. I didn't even get to enjoy the pedicure for a week and my toes were already chipping. Usually my pedicures last at least 3 weeks. The guy who did my nails was very nice but he cut my cuticles on several fingers with the nail dremmel. Pretty painful and not cute for a few days until they healed. The nails looked good but the cut cuticles made the manicure look gross. I have always loved coming here but today was just unacceptable. Got here at 11:30am and left at 3pm. First tech did not know how to do the design I asked but he attempted anyway. Total mess. Told him to just stop mid way and place a solid color of shellac on top, he continued to give me an attitude and hurried me to pick a color. Again, even with a solid color, total mess. Spoke to manager and he got someone else to completely take off the set and redo with design I wanted. AGAIN, total mess.
