This is my second time being seen at this location, and on both occasions, the optometrist refused to prescribe bifocals despite my history of wearing them for over a decade. As a result, I have been unable to see close up for the past two years, which causes me daily headaches and significantly impacts my work as a professional seamstress and my ability to read. During my most recent visit, I was once again given a prescription I cannot use. When I raised my concerns, I was told I could come back for a follow-up, but I no longer feel comfortable receiving care at this location. During my appointment, the doctor even made comment insinuating that the woman assisting him was incompetent, which I found unprofessional and made me lose confidence in the care I was receiving. Additionally, when I booked my appointment online, I specifically selected the $89.95 deal that included an eye exam and two pairs of frames. However, during my appointment, the doctor repeatedly tried to sell me contact lenses. I eventually agreed to try daily contacts for occasional use, but he never informed me that this would change my appointment type from a glasses exam to a "contact exam," making it $139.00 and disqualifying me from the $89.95 deal I had booked. After the appointment, when I went to choose frames, I was told by a staff member that I could select any frames with a blue or green tag to qualify for the deal. I picked one blue and one green. At checkout, I was suddenly told that I could only choose blue tags, so I swapped the green pair for a blue pair even though I didn't like them as much. Then I was told that I was not eligible for the deal at all because my appointment had been changed to a contact appointment (something I never knowingly agreed to). I asked if I could decline the contacts so that I could use the deal I had booked, and I was told no because "the appointment type was already changed." Ultimately, I left without glasses, paid significantly more than I was prepared to, and received a prescription that does not allow me to see clearly. I believe I was misled regarding both pricing and appointment type, was denied the deal I booked online, and left with a prescription that does not work for me. read more

Initially things went well but by the next day it became apparent the lenses were wrong; dark glasses (pair number 2) used for driving especially were the wrong tint ordered and the progressive line was higher than ordered so literally had to dip chin to chest to see. Took them back that Saturday (7 days later) and customer service was rude and snotty about their mistake not even offering an apology. Now it's been 3 weeks but still no glasses! When I call they act like since I had them sent back then I shouldn't expect a fast return! I will never spend my hard earned cash here again! Do yourself a favor go somewhere else if you want quality service and product. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I had an appointment at 12:50 and called ahead to say I'd be running late. The receptionist said I'd be fine if I got there in their 10 minute window. I arrived right at 1 to be told my appointment had been cancelled!! I drove all the way over for nothing because she flat out lied to me. Poor communication and poor way to run a business. Staff was horrendous. I had to go in 4 separate times to get my glasses fitted within a day because every staff member ruined them in their own way. I called about pricing and was left on hold for 2 hours. I had gotten so fed up I drove there (still on hold) and walked in inquiring about being on hold. They had told me that no one had called in hours, upon showing them my phone was currently holding from them they shut up quickly. Staff was transphobic to me as well and asked the company I was coming in with, "how do you handle people like that? There's a problem with our education since they all come out like that now". Unacceptable. I was also told repeatedly I wasn't allowed to shop for femenine glasses because masculine ones were 'for me' despite being a trans woman. They would not take my explanation either. Save yourself and please go anywhere else.Even just picking up some broken bottles will get you better glasses than these guys. read more

Went n because I needed glasses. Had the prescription already. I ended up with exactly what I wanted! They have a zillion frames to choose from. I ended up with some very nice glasses. And I was able to get the lenses that change to sunglasses when your out in the sun. I love them!! I definitely recommend them. read more

These people are so slow ane incedibly understaffed, despite having had appts booked for a week. Apprently they overbooked and have you wait for one optician to address 8-10 customers with each interaction taking around 15 mins. I have no idea why they would overbook this badly. The doc and his assistant were both great but I won't be coming back to wait in their waiting room for an additional hr after the exam was complete. Poorly managed. Terrible customer service, incompetent optometrist, waste of time and money. Had to contact corporate to get a refund because the snobby women that work there will put you on hold and/or never call back. I would highly encourage going anywhere else. read more

My glasses broke, the tech was really patient with me and gave me great advice about my options. Highly recommend them.

I go here because I enrolled in their eye club, which is ~$100 for 3 years of eye exams, exclusions apply. The staff is friendly and helpful enough, nothing I would write home about. The optometrist I saw for the day answered my questions appropriately, bedside manner was okay. Again, nothing to write home about. Wait time was a bit longer than I expected, but I understand staffing is challenging and they were busy on the day that I came. Overall, I will still come back here because of their eye care club and their care is decent. Wouldn't say I would recommend them to family and friends with vision insurance who can go anywhere in Eugene/Springfield though. read more

My husband and I purchased glasses here for the first time in January 2021. The staff was helpful and very accomodating. We had some discrepancies with our prescriptions and fittings, and the technicians went above and beyond to make things right. We will definitely be back!! read more

Great experience here! The process to set up an appointment was easy and I was repeatedly reminded about the time and location of said appointment. When I got there I was greeted by friendly staff and the entire eye exam process as well as ordering my contacts was easy and stress free. The space was clean and I felt that everyone there took measures to ensure contact was limited which eased my anxiety about making a visit during COVID. While I have a more regular place that I go to for eye exams normally, I will happily be returning while I remain in Eugene. Feels great to see clearly again read more

Americas Best has been my go to place for about 2 years now- I found them when I moved back to Springfield freshly moving out of my parents house. I was nervous to start it on my own and had A LOT of questions when I started and they were the most helpful group a girl with anxiety can have. I don't remember who signed me up, but she was so sweet and talked to me about the eye care club and all the benefits. I went in a few days ago for an updated prescription and Tori was the one who helped me at the end. She not only was extremely helpful, but just a fun human to get the pleasure to talk to. read more

A couple years ago I paid for the eye exam and two pairs of glasses, the cost was inexpensive but the eye exam seemed rushed and minimal, ended up with two pairs of glasses that were not the correct prescription and unusable. The receptionist told me "you'll get used to them" when I picked them up and could immediately tell they were either someone else's prescription or otherwise incorrect, she was rude enough I didn't want to argue with her claims they were the correct prescription. I normally have good experiences with America's Best and their glasses. With my insurance I was able to finally get prescription sunglasses (Ray Ban's even) and a pair of glasses for less than $300 which is awesome. My one complaint is they make it difficult to order contacts online. I'm a member of their club so I figured my information would be saved on the website when I log in so I can easily order them myself but it's not set up that way so I had to call to order them. They told me they would call me when they arrived. It's been almost 2 weeks so I called them today and sure enough, the contacts are there. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Worst customer experience! They left me and my daughter waiting for 45 mins for her eye exam. When we asked if we could look at glasses, we were yelled at by the receptionist. The doctors himself is amazing. That's the only reason we went back. The tech was wearing a white rubber tank top and you could see his chest hair. The Doctor even commented that he need to be more presentable!!! I will never go back. I will pay more to avoid ever having to deal with them again. After we walked out and told them we wouldn't be waiting any longer. The receptionist called and left a message saying "If you aren't keeping you appointment you should call!" You can't tell who is in charge it's just a bunch of monkeys running around. I would give zero stars if possible. Was told my glasses came in today, went to pick them up and immediately realized they were the wrong ones and told the optician. The girl who did the original order last time Lillie immediately got defensive and insisted they were the right ones and then eventually copped that she probably messed it up while I was deciding between two pairs. Adrian who I believe is some sort of supervisor was totally unapologetic and when I asked if it was possible to get them expedited since I had to wait almost two weeks for the first pair was flatly told no. No offer to do anything to make up for their screw up other than to get the right pair. Meanwhile the one that screwed up the order is sitting their talking crap to her supervisor about me with her mouth covered with a sheet of paper and they passed sticky notes like 2 13 year old girls. Unprofessional to say the least. I would never come back here even if they paid me. Take your business anywhere but here. If you're unfortunate enough to have to go here get your prescription and order your glasses online. At least you can ensure they're correct and will get them fast and not have to deal with the D Bags that work here! read more
