Let's begin with the obvious, it's America's Best Value Inn. VALUE. This is not the Ritz Carlton, it is not the Four Seasons. If you have fair and reasonable expectations for what this chain is, they you probably won't be disappointed. Now, I will say that we have never stayed at any one of this chain's locations as it is generally not they level of accommodations that we would entertain as an option. Now, despite some of it's shortcomings, we did not have any issues, as a whole, with the grounds, the facility, or even the room. Again, have fair and reasonable expectations. Start from the beginning. Upon entry into the building it looks old and baron and had a slight funk in the air. The gentleman at the counter was polite, courteous, and respectful and handled our check-in efficiently. It was easy. As we made our way to our assigned room, was walked by the lounge/bar/restaurant? area and the funk in the air got stronger and my wife identified this funk as smoke. Maybe the bar/lounge/restaurant has smoking?? I don't know. But as we continues down the hallway to our room, the farther from the bar/lounge/restaurant we got and the closer we got to our room the more that smokey, funky smell dissipated. We entered our room and was pleasantly surprised. Again, for what it is, it was a nice room. It was very obvious they they are making an effort to clean the place up with some renovations. The room appeared "new" as though it had been recently renovated. It was clean, nice, decent television, larger than average fridge, power outlets and USB ports on each tide of the bed. The floors were clean, the best was clean, bathroom also clean and renovations almost complete. The room as a whole was clean and nice. The sofa (sleep sofa?) did have some stains on the cushions and the bathroom ceiling was still a work in progress. One thing the room did have, that we don't usually get in rooms at twice this price but do se in rooms at triple the price, were some complementary bottle water and a few snacks (bags of chips, pretzels, etc.). Now, let me offer a few words about the complimentary breakfast. While it was not vast or abundant, it was a full hot breakfast. A few fruit, cereal, and bread options, eggs, sausage, French toast, etc. Quality... it was okay. They drawback for me on breakfast was it was in the poorly lit, dark, low ceiling, funky lounge/bar/restaurant. But again, managing your expectations and it wasn't bad. Overall, it was NOT A BAD EXPERIENCE. Would we stay here again? Maybe. If we were in this price point, we probably would. read more

We stayed here the night of a show at Gillette. I would absolutely do so again. I wouldn't even look anywhere else. A reasonable walk to the stadium. Check-in was just fine. Room was clean and quiet. I had to laugh. The room was clean, definitely big enough, the bed was comfortable and the towels were fluffy. Aside from the hairdryer, your standard fare bathroom amenities and a small drip coffee maker, there were absolutely no extras in the room - no extra pillows, no extra blankets, and NO hangers! I'm sure I could have asked for those things and the friendly staff would have supplied, but we were there only for a Gillette Stadium game and were in and out so we really didn't care. The price was unbeatable, but don't let the free breakfast be your selling point: no tea, no cereal, no yogurt - just things to toast. In our room, we immediately noticed that all of the sheets on the bed were stained badly. We left for dinner and came back and noticed that the new sheets were stained as well. My plans to stay with my old boss for a few days didn't work out. So we had to find a hotel last minute. Check the area around Gillette Stadium we found "American Best Inn Foxboro" for a great price. The hotel isn't five star, but it's nice. From the outside it looks grand, inside, not so much. It definitely isn't the worst I've seen. At the counter the concierge checked us in quick, with no issues. We asked for a second night, but because tomorrow is the game, a lot of people booked. So we had to find out in the morning. After checking in, he gave us directions to our room. It was accessible from the back of building, on the outside. You can walk up the steps up to the second floor; that's exactly what we did. A quick walk down the hallway and we were there. The room was pretty decent. The dark wood, mixed with the dark checkered floor made it seem welcoming. The empty mini refrigerator and the 40 inch television, made me feel right at home. The bed was comfortable as well and I definitely put it to the test. To top it all off, they offer a continental breakfast in the morning. Cant wait to try it out. The only thing that can make this stay perfect, would be a Giants victory. Cozy & convenient hotel less then a mile from the Patriots football stadium ! Beware the price is around 600 for a night on big game nights on Sundays . We were here for a concert 15 min away at Xfinity Center which was just 100 a night (Sunday) no game night ! The check in was easy (had reservations on Hotels.com) and fast I was up to my room in 5 minutes . Breakfast was at 6am-9am in the adjacent restaurant there not sure if they had the bufett for Labor Day weekend or it's the norm here . Scrambled eggs, sausages,french toast and homefries . Coffee & juice & bagels. Staff was nice until the morning ,would have gave them another star but one employee kept bothering us for housekeeping a hour before checkout line three times and I noticed when we did finally go (1045am) they were banging on all doors . That's a no-no in my book I have til 11am then that's when they should start. Otherwise the room was a smoking one (Directors Room 2nd floor) the bed was so comfy it felt like home . My hubby jumped on it several times ,so I know it's legit ,lol. The room decent and clean . Full sized fridge and couch in the King bed room. read more

I usually don't do the America's Best Value Inn brand for hotel stays, but when you see a cheap place that's about a 1/2 hour drive from Boston Logan airport, you'd consider that. And I did. Cheap. Lol For all intensive purposes, staying at an America's Best Value Inn during my stay here in Foxboro was not the best choice, but it was fairly cheap and felt like a grungy dormitory styled hotel room. Still, it was not the best. The room itself was clean and satisfactory, but overall not the best. I've heard yelling in the hallways and the decor wasn't ideal for most people. I've seen way better stuff elsewhere. While this stay at America's Best Value Inn was decent enough, I can say that probably can give it a 3 stars at best. While affordable and you have basic room comfort, I just felt uncomfortable here, even when I had a friend with me. This hotel was about 1/4 mile from the Gillette Stadium, where the New England Patriots played. Being a Miami Dolphin fan, I didn't like staying here one bit, but it was the cheapest and closest to Boston without killing the budget. I just didn't feel as safe as I normally do while traveling. Probably the place gave me a sense of uneasiness and a weird vibe when I walked through the halls that didn't go away till I fell asleep. Even motel 6 was better than this experience. For the most part though, it was a case of I've had better hotel experiences but it was okay - in the room. The overall experience here at America's Best Value Inn here in Foxboro, Massachusetts can be categorized as being weird yet okay. The screaming that occurred outside and around my room didn't die till about 11pm. Then, I could fall asleep. My friend and I were given a room upstairs and you could smell the musty feeling that pervades it. It was dimly lite too, but thankful that I had a room that was close to the staircase, so we could get up and downstairs when needed. They had a ice machine on the first floor, which was cool. Didn't check if they had public WiFi, since I was tired and wanted to relax before the flight the next morning. The room, as mentioned before, was clean enough and spacious. It looked like a real typical hotel room too. Everything seemed to work okay and the bed comfort allowed me to enjoy 7 hours of complete rest before getting up for the airport and my flight the next morning at Boston Logan International airport. Nothing wrong with the hotel room specifically and the experience was uneventful. Just the creepy vibes that made the experience not that enjoyable, but as mentioned before, it was cheap - which was the only part of the experience I did enjoy was the inexpensive side of the hotel. The bed itself was comfortable enough to fall asleep after a couple of hours of hearing people yell about stuff. This America's Best Value Inn is located at 105 Washington Street in the heart of Patriot country here in Foxboro, MA. They accept major credit cards, as usual upon check in. The check in process was nice, friendly, and professional too. I got the usual wow from the front desk guy who's never seen a driver's license from Hawaii before. With that said, this America's Best Value Inn has generous parking options for guests who stay here. I'd imagine they are sold out during the nfl season when the home team is playing at home and room rates are high AF. Since my stay here is off peak in May 2019, the rates have dropped significantly, so I got a good rate for a night's stay. It's about a half hour drive to Logan airport from this hotel in Foxboro, so it's a good spot outside of Boston economically wise for a hotel. You can get here via public transit, but it'll take way longer from Boston Logan airport if you drove. Uber and Lyft are always good options, but it can be cheaper if you rented a car and don't have a private vehicle yourself. While my experience here at this America's Best Value Inn was less than stellar, it fit the profile for an average comfortable, but basic and uneventful stay. Cheap is what you're paying for. Don't expect the bells and whistles since you ain't getting it. Stay elsewhere if you are wanting that. Stay here if you don't want to pay Boston area prices and want to stay clear of the metro side of Boston. 3.0 stars for the overall experience. 2.5 stars for the weird vibe I experienced. Stayed here for a hockey tournament. Walked into the room with some teammates and the room reeked of cigarettes. The real kicker was when we sat on the mattress and it seemed as if something was under it. We lifted up the mattress and to our surprise was a double sided 14 inch black dildo. Mattresses are comfortable, good pillows and new appliances. Found some glass on the floor and weed stems. Upon settling in we noticed more and more discrepancies in the room. It was a okay place to stay. It was easy to check in to check out. Room was very nice. Just you to know there is not elevator if you are planning to stay on second floor. Locations is very good, a lot of stores are around. I had 2 concerns which doesn't make me to come back here again. First: since it was very loud on first floor, they accommodated me on second floor but downstairs they had a bar and they were having live music. I could hear that because it was very loud. Second: breakfast - there were 3 different kind of few bagels, corn flakes, cream cheese, and tea / coffee. That's all. Nothing more. Stinks of stale cigarettes. Everywhere. All rooms. An entire section of the place has no smoking signs but it smells like cigarettes in the rooms, hallway and lobby. It's not subtle either. It's like a nightclub. Only without the music & fun. Bed was clean, but not comfortable at all. Rooms were kinda dingy. They had done some updates to where it looked like they cared, but if you look a little closer you'll see the updates were just a distraction from how dated everything was. Where do I begin..... Reservation online was easy enough but when when I went to check in I was informed my room had been flooded and I would be put into a queen size bed room instead of two twins. This motel is a great place to stay...If you literally are out of ANY other option. Yes, sure it is a good value at $85 a night but its lacking in about everything else. From the moment we walked in, the front lobby smell like we were walking into one of the Greater Boston Area's finest dive bars. It smell thick of cigarettes, weed, cleaning supplies, and beer. The staff was helpful and offered to help us to our room, as we are both visually impared and had quite a bit of luggage. However, once we walked into the room and turned on the lights they immediately flickered and buzzed louder than a swarm of angry hornets. We thought perhaps this noise would stop, but in fact it continued our whole stay. At several points all electricity in our room shut off, and staff members had to flip the breaker switch to get the power back on. Walking into the bathroom is generally always a mistake. We booked a non-smoking room, but upon entering the bathroom almost every time the smell of weed and cigarets fills the air because of leaking through the bathroom fan. Everything in the bathroom smelt of smoke. There were cigarette burns in the bed sheets, and we kept waking up with bug bites. You can hear people stomping at all hours of the night upstairs, and doors slamming. The bar blasts music until early hours of the morning. The outlets in r room were sunken in, and some were even wobbly. The owner/manager is extremely rude, and not empathetic or compassionate at all. He has a policy that isn't in writing that you can only stay for 21 nights. We asked to see this policy in writing as he said we agreed to it, and he was not able to provide us with proof it is a policy we signed to. He was disrespectful and argumentative.He lied to us about prices of a reservation, and even tried to take another night's worth of money from us without us knowing. The police said they are working with him on a case, and based on what we have read the police are here quite a bit. The name should be changed to "America's Last Resort Inn." Not to mention the staff aren't even available at night, and the manager is hard to get inn touch with. read more

I only gave this hotel 2 stars because the beds were decent and we played pool for free at the bar downstairs. Otherwise it is not good at all. 1. No elevator. We had to bring our luggage ourself on 2 floor 2. Towels were very cheap 3. TV has very few channels 4. The worst was their so-called breakfast. It only had few stale bagels and cream cheese. Gusty orange juice and wholehrain rasing cereal. Cold milk and coffee. The coffee was leftover on the bottom of 2 pots. It was cold. We wanted to make a new pot, but the owner/manager was rude and just dumped all leftover coffee in one pot and took all the empty ones away, so that we couldn't make a new coffee. For one the house keeper never changed the sheets the next day and also never even sweep the floor to the hotel room! When I called the front desk. He told me that the house keepers should clean each rooms daily! The next day they didn't even touch a thing! I open the drawer and noticed that there was a pack of condoms in there! The curtains had blood stains or something red on them! This hotel stay was a total nightmare! The people staying at the hotel were also sketchy. Police were called because two people were fighting in the hotel! I kept hearing screaming and yelling. Many of the people staying there look like meth heads and had no masks on. Well where do I start. Let's start off with the fact that at 4 am I had a rowdy bunch knocking at my door by who knows who. Next, room service waltzed their way in my room while I was just getting out of the shower a knock at that point would of been nice. I was a little skeptical to stay here due to the poor reviews but I needed a place to stay after a wedding and $80 a night was alot better than $170 at the renaissance up the street at patriot place. Entering the room I was pleasantly surprised: 55"tv, LED recessed lighting, free WiFi, and brand new furniture and fixtures. The entire room was literally brand new and very clean. The staff was friendly and allowed us to still have breakfast after the posted hours. Only downfalls were alot of the advertised details were missing: no private balcony, telephone, dvd player, refrigerator, or coffee maker. They did have a community coffee maker, and refrigerator in the breakfast area though. Totally recommend this place to anyone that needs a hotel in the area, also they have smoking rooms available which is virtually impossible to come by these days! read more

We arrived at the motel on a Friday evening looking for a cheap place to spend the night. Because we had had good experiences with other America's Best Value Inns, we thought this might be worth a shot. The (non-smoking) room we were given smelled strongly of smoke and one of the beds was dirty when we pulled back the sheets (several hairs and other dirt). The beds were redone upon request, but the smell did stay, of course. The bathroom didn't seem overly clean either and was rather dark. The fridge in the room was very loud. Stayed here in June for an event. There wasn't much else available and we only needed a place to sleep for a few hours before leaving early the next morning. When we walked in the room and looked around we figured "meh, it's cheap so whatever". Bathroom had a giant tub with jets which we figured would be nice at least. Checked the bed quick and saw a few burn holes, and then when we opened the bed side table drawer there was a bag filled with remnants of tobacco and weed. Things were dingy and dirty. But like I said, we figured it's cheap and one quick night. We turned on the AC so the room would be cool when we returned since it was so hot out. Then we had to run for our event. When we arrived back from our event there was a woman going to the door next to ours asking others if their bed had blood stains on it. Yeah. We were ready to get out of there but had nowhere else to go at that hour. Get in the room, turns out the AC doesn't work so the room was hot as hell. Great! Go to use the bath, jets don't work. Whatever, go to sleep and get the hell out early. I'm not sure who was working the desk that morning but when my partner went to complain while checking out he was met with a smug, rude, and wholly uninterested employee. Someone who clearly didn't care about these things or their customers. So we left with a bad taste in our mouths after everything. I was skeptical after reading some bad reviews, but I was very pleased upon arrival. Room was clean, recently remodeled. I was afraid of it smelling like cigarettes, but it actually smelled like some type of cleaning product. Not an obnoxious scent, but pleasant. We did have a mini fridge but didn't use it. There were also four water bottles left in the room, which I thought was a nice touch. I just hope my card doesn't get charged $20 for them!!! The mattress was pretty bad, though. Hotel isn't that bad. Decently clean rooms and ok service. Downfall is they seems to have an identity crises on there hands. The inn has a bar located inside the building right across and downstairs from a decent amount of rooms. I don't mind the bar as most hotels have one, the problem with this one is they want to be a night club and will blast music untill one in the morning if not later. When we went to the hotel it was filthy and we found a bed bug. The night manager treated us like we were lying until we caught the bed bug and showed it to him. We stayed here for the Jimmy Buffet concert this weekend. (and almost didn't because of the reviews) These places usually get a bad review but I want you to know, it was awesome. Ask to stay in the new wing. (Room 233 is the last one at the end of the hall and worth asking for) Everything is brand new and the room was huge. Everything was beautiful and clean and new with a very large bathroom, refrigerator, nice tv. The front desk folks were very nice and I would stay here again in a minute. The rate was half the rate of anything nearby and we were able to sleep peacefully. We only needed a good quiet room to sleep off our fun and that is what we got. Thanks America's best for a great experience. Don't believe all the crap you read on here by snootie people or you can and pay double to sleep somewhere else. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for cleanliness or security. When I stayed here, our shower curtain was growing mold, the door to the room did not have a security bolt, just the spot where one should have been. We had to go to the front desk to reset our keys several times, one time someone that was with our party but not in our room was able to get a new key with nothing more than a room number. No name, no id, nothing. The vending machines never dispensed the correct items. Also, the floors were slick even after drying from sort chemical they used on them. When we first checked into our room the window was wide open and the TV and lights were all on. This is a place that I would never stay again and would have left and went somewhere else if I hadn't payed in advance. read more
