This is a place that I frequent but my past few visits I've noticed it decline in the quality of food. I would give them their props on working to maintain the cleanliness and providing new options on the menu. However, this last visit was one that will make it so that I will never return. I came into the restaurant I put in my typical order and settle down anticipating a wait. It was literally two minutes after I sat down when my number was called for my order. I go to the register and say this can't possibly be my order. The gentleman repeats the order back to me and it in fact was my order. I look at him and say that was too quick. This food can possibly be fresh. He proceeds to tell me that the chicken was prepared earlier that day, and that it was tossed in the sauce and then served to me, which meant the food wasn't fresh. I'm noticing my past few visits that the food had tasted off however I choked it up to me having to reheat it because I've ordered it hours before consumption but now I know I'm just being served old Meat. Thank you for this confirmation and unfortunately, I can no longer be a customer of this establishment. Note to Owner or Operator: if the food is questioned, please train your employees to recognize and make corrections immediately to avoid instances like this. Love them things!! lol I've been to several America's Best Wings around the DMV many times before and the food never disappoints for the most part. This was my first visit at this location, and I share the same sentiments with this location. The food was delicious and the chicken was cooked, seasoned and tasted fresh! One of the biggest things I like about America's Best Wings is that there are soooooo many sauces (30+ flavors --dry and wet) to choose from or remix into your own concoction. By far, my favorite sauces are the Spicy Lemon Garlic Wings & OG Buffalo - Medium sauces wings! The Spicy Lemon Garlic Wings....SCREAM FLAVAH!! During this visit, I was greeted upon entering and the customer service was very friendly. I placed an order and it was ready fairly quick. The chicken was super seasoned. The fries were crispy and fresh....nothing soggy here. The only thing that was a slight deduction for me about this location was the cleanliness factor. I am very particular about that and this location seemed a little under par for me and my taste. The dining area needed a little cleaning and sprucing up as well as the counters. They take it advantage of Black people. They know when it comes to wing it, that we prefer the flats; so now they're making you pay extra if you want all flats. However, we ordered a regular 15 pieces. They only gave us two flats. When my husband called and inquired about that, they mentioned something about 70% drumettes and 30% flat. This spot is located inside of a little strip mall, and is next to a Dollar Tree. The place is vary spacious and has a lounge area with couches and a television. They also have an adequate sized dining area. There is tons of parking spots available in the lot that it shares with the other business in the strip mall. You can order your food online to save some time or in person. I ordered when I got there and waited in the wide open lounge area. The restaurant has everything that any junk food lover would want including philly cheese steaks, wraps, salads, fried chicken, burger, subs and of course wings. Whatever happened to the "so called" wing shortage by the way. Well anyway. I got the 10 piece wing combo (half hot Caribbean jerk and half Thai Chili) which came with fries and a drink. I got my wings to go. It was a fair price for what I got. The workers there were friendly enough. When I got home they were still hot. They came with some blue cheese and Mumbo sauce (for those that do not know what that is, you are missing out). The wings were OK. I would not go as far as call them America's Best Wings or nothing though. My sauce was very runny and even though there was a lot of sauce on both flavors, it was all pooled at the bottom of the container. This is an ok spot. I was tetering between a 3 and 4 star review on this one, but decided to go with the 4. The food served its purpose and filled my tummy. Getting an order delivered to your home is unlike being in the store. The food is delicious but the amount of live and dead roaches around the restaurant is ridiculous. Who knows what the kitchen looks like.... Went to go order in person a couple days ago. The store employees act oblivious to this nonsense and don't even care to clean up. The wings were nice and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and very moist. Wow! Also, the fries....mmm mm mmm those fries are yummy! We also ordered the grilled shrimp with old bay seasoning, which came on a bed of yellow rice, and fried fish. I really liked the fish, the shrimp was ok, and so was the rice; kind of meh! They have the option to dine in or take out; we decided to head home. It is very clean and has huge high quality flat screens so you can sit back and relax while chowing down. The staff is nice, no major complaints! Overall, I enjoyed my experience at America's Best Wings. I will definitely be back for those wings! Went here today for lunch based on a recommendation. I have to say it was pretty good. The place was clean and the customer service I received was great. I really liked the guy behind the counter - he was so kind. Now the food, I had the 10 piece wing combo half Lemon Pepper and half Honey BBQ (came with fries and a drink) and the price was okay around $12. The lemon pepper wings were ok - they were not lemony enough for me - more pepper; but the honey BBQ wings were really good. The sauce had a nice taste. The Wings themselves were cooked a little on the hard side - great for me. The inside of the place is bright yellow and very clean. The waiting area looks like a sitting room complete with a TV and fireplace (be it fake, it was really cute). They have 30 flavors for their wings - so I can see myself coming back for another visit. I've tried Parmesan garlic, honey garlic pepper and hot lemon pepper all of which I wouldn't try again lol and the staff is usually pretty nice. Love this place. The wings are delicious and the service is great. They are very interested in pleasing the customer. I had to wait for a phone in order one day--they were really busy. When I paid for my order they gave me a complimentary drink for my troubles and apologized for the wait. They get busy so check to see if your phone in is ready before getting there. Jan 4, 2019 was my first time ever eating from America's Best Wings and lets just say it will be my last time EVER eating there again. I originally wanted Burger King but I allowed my cousin to talk me into this place. I ordered 5 piece Teriyaki chicken wings then ordered a medium French fry. My chicken was finished first which was hard and dry as I don't know what so I asked for extra sauce. The cashier took the container to the back to add more sauce and at the same time passed me my French fries. First on all these was Shop Rite crinckle cut fries. The fries was just as white as they are when you take them out the bag because whomever cooked them made them n them microwave. These fries never touched any type of grease. Nothing was golden brown or crunchy about these fries. I opened the container to check out the extra sauce which was just sitting in the bottom of the container looking like soy sauce. Still unsatisfied I asked to speak with the manager because I wanted a refund. The manager comes out who happens to be Vietnamese, and does not understand English he just shakes his head YES & smile. This is NOT a good being as though the area he is providing service in 98% of us speak English. I didn't understand what he was saying so the cashier says "He is basically trying to say we don't do refunds". I said Oh Ok No Problem Can you guys just make me a fresh batch of chicken to replace these wings being as though they are dry. The cashier responds "NO I'm sorry we can NOT do that either". At this point I'm extremely confused NO refunds is one thing but to NOT make me fresh food is kinda crossing the line. I stated I was going to ask for my money back for these fries too but didn't wanna make a big deal about all of the food that's why I just asked for my wings to be replaced. The whole time the cashier is playing with a taser, her pants was hanging down below her bottom where you could see all types of dirt and lint balls on the under pants, NO hair net over her deadlocks, NO gloves on to cover all the dirt under her finger nails, NO type of customer service skills what so ever so much profanity being used between both cashiers as well as the workers with the customers. I brought the chicken home and offered it to my children they said YUCK!! Why do this chicken smell like this?? Where did you get this from?? What kind of chicken is this?? Don't eat from there anymore?? Why are these fries so white?? Are they even done?? But this is the type of food I was served last night. Not only did the chicken leave a bad taste in my mouth but the entire business left a terrible after taste as well and I will never ever return to that place again I don't care if the food is gonna be FREE. Do not order any fish from this place! My trout was tasteless and overcooked even though I asked for it not to be. The whiting was even worse! It was old and so overcooked that you couldn't even break it apart, let alone bite into it! And, it was tasteless too! The tartar sauce was tasteless and thin with hardly any relish in it. And the hush puppies..... omg they tasted like uncooked sour dough.... They can't even cook fries!!!! How do you mess up fries???? They were waaaay undercooked!!!!! I spent over $45 here and it wasn't worth a dime! I should have gone to the nearby McDonalds and spent $7.00 for a fillet o' fish meal and would have gotten my monies worth!
