Hip Hop Fish & Chicken has multiple locations, primarily in the Baltimore area, but has a few other spots in DC, Temple Hills, and Glen Burnie. They offer a variety of items on their menu such as Fish & Chicken Combos, sides, and desserts. On the drive home, I wanted to stop by to pick up their Half & Half, as I am obsessed with Hip Hop's version - unfortunately, the drink itself wasn't the same; it seemed a little watery and diluted, and it didn't have their signature tangy taste to it. I feel like they either gave me a drink order that has been forgotten or has been sitting for a while from another order, or their concoction wasn't prepared properly in their drink machine. So disappointing! The staff here are friendly, and there was just a little line of others who had already placed orders. Plenty of parking in their private lot. Sorry, but this location is a no dice for me! +watered down Half & Half T___T +friendly staff +parking available in small lot

Always drove by this place and finally decided to try them. Absolutely stunned at the quality of food for a chain. The fried chicken topped with their special salt then dipped in hot sauce was a winning combination. What was even better than the chicken was the Fried Fish. I know, surprising right? I'm a fried chicken gal, but the Fish really did it for me. The Whiting was golden-brown and crispy while the fish meat inside was delicate and fluffy. Of course we added the special salt on top of the fish too. So addicting!! Also worth mentioning are the fried skrimpz, chicken & waffles, and the fried corn balls.

Soggy okra when I asked for crispy but not well done.

This was my first time going to the Clinton franchise and it was awful first off the fish sandwich combo that I ordered had a thousand bones in it and the fries were extra soggy . The service was ok . The best part about this meal was the onion rings outside of that. I could never recommend this place to anyone I know.

The box with everything in it. 2 trout fillets, 4 chicken thighs, fries, and 2 slices of bread.

What is so special about this place? There are 37 locations. The first one opened in Randallstown, MD in 2009. I decided to give them a try. Of course, I had to get fish and chicken since that's their specialty.    The Fish & Chicken combo came with fries, coleslaw, and bread. The fish choices were whiting (2pcs), trout (2 pcs), ocean perch (2pcs), catfish (1 pc), tilapia (1pc), catfish nuggets (1/2 lb), shrimp (10 pcs), or jumbo shrimp (3pcs). The chicken choices were wings (4 pcs), legs (4 pcs), thighs (4 pcs), chicken tenders (3 pcs), breast (1 pc), gizzard (1/2lb), livers (1/2 lb), or chicken nuggets (7 pcs). I got the trout and chicken thighs. The trout fillets were thin, had bones, and skin. The breading was crispy and somewhat oily. It wasn't too thick and tasted okay because it was seasoned. The small amount of meat tasted fine, but this is not worth eating if you want fish instead of fried batter.    The fried chicken thighs had a thin, crispy coating that was somewhat oily. It was seasoned well. The meat was tender and moist. This was the best part of the meal! However, Popeyes has nothing to worry about.    Everything was put into one box. The fish was on top, the chicken below it, fries beneath the chicken, and 2 slices of white bread at the bottom. The white bread was flattened and stuck to the bottom. Who's the genius behind that packaging idea? It was plain bread that was soft and moist. Too bad it was pressed flat and needed a spatula to remove them. They need to put the bread on the side or top.    There were a lot of fries. No seasoning on them. They were crispy and oily. The oil was clean, so the taste was decent. Nothing special here.    The coleslaw had cabbage and a few carrots. The dressing was slightly sweet with mayonnaise and some vinegar. No celery seed or black pepper. It was simple tasting and okay.    I ordered carryout and arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes after ordering. The order wasn't ready. I waited a few minutes for it. The employee was polite and careful about giving out the orders. The dining room was clean. There was only one restroom. It was clean but had no paper on any kind. Someone there needs to keep an eye on that. I included their menu in my photos so you can see the other things that they sell. The fish was not worth buying, the chicken was okay, the bread, coleslaw, and fries were typical, and the prices were not low. There's not much here for me to recommend!!

My first time eating at Hip Hop Fish & Chicken! I'm such a huge fried food lover, so this place hit the spot for me. Everything was so delicious! I highly recommend the corn fritters, onion rings, and their chicken wings. This restaurant seems like it is mainly a carry out spot, but they also have dine in tables as well.

Waited for 20 minutes until I asked how far along until my order, they said to pick it up at the drink counter. No one was there when we ordered the shake and there was no sign. Added a biscoff cookie to the shake... which they also forgot and put it on the side cup. Overall it's a small portion and what got us full were the dirty fries. Wanted to try this in Vegas but ended up trying it in DC while in the area instead. Don't come if you're expecting food within 15-20 minutes.

Both visits I had were excellent. They have a proper Irish draft list plus some others, and they pour a nice pint. I had bangers and mash my first night and the sausage was some of the best I've had. There was a good mound of mash and the gravy was dark and rich. I appreciated the onions added on too. Night two I got shepherd's pie and was quite happy. Rich sauce and mildly charred mash on top made for a fine meal. I'd gladly order the sausages again and would love to come back for the fish and chips. Worth noting: the service is excellent. Anne Marie is a saint dealing with...err...serving various personalities. Plus there was World Cup all over the TVs. The vibe is excellent Irish pub. I really hope we can go back again. I had the chicken pot pie which is darn near impossible for me to resist. Outside of my own and my dear Aunt Peggy's, this was some of the best pot pie I've had. The gravy was the right thickness, the chicken wasn't over cooked (which is hard to pull off in this format), and the puff pastry on top was light and fluffy but with enough oomph to it to hold up to the gravy. The only thing I'd change was more veggies in the dish, but that's my personal preference. The event was scheduled to start at 6:30 PM, but it didn't actually begin until a little after 7:00 PM. Once everything got going though, the experience really picked up. The first course, the ceviche paired with the "Blazin' Britches" cocktail, was a great start and immediately let me know this 5-course experience was going to be something special. The food and drink pairings were creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented throughout the night. My favorite courses were definitely the earlier ones, especially the shrimp stack and cocktails. The atmosphere felt fun and social, and overall the event felt worth the price. There were only two things I personally was not a fan of: the sea bass and the Espresso-Chino cocktail. The sea bass just wasn't for me, and unfortunately two of my friends got sick after eating it, one that same night and the other the next day after reheating leftovers. I only had a small bite myself because I didn't really enjoy the taste. The Espresso-Chino was also very strong, and I couldn't finish it. Even with those issues, I would definitely come back for another pairing dinner or special event. Bonefish Grill did a great job creating a unique experience overall, and the value for the price was solid.

Truly, I ordered and before the payment processed I had food in hand. Service was definitely the fastest I have had just about anywhere. After finding a seat I was able to dig in. "The Governor's" Fish & Chips, as the menu officially names it, is a gigantic piece of Atlantic cod. Expertly battered and fried to a crip. Each bite was crunchy with that flaky cod inside. Pairing it with the tartar sauce for every single bite, you will keep going until this disappeared. Their chips, more like potato wedges, are triple cooked. Extremely crispy, the ketchup is a nice addition, never was a malt vinegar person. I was definitely full and shared some of this with my colleague as so none of this would go to waste. The only thing that I did not like were the Mushy Peas. I know, the name says it all, but they could have let that little cup of those watery, bland peas off the plate. She had no other tables but might not be her personality, which is fine. Knowing we wanted ice cream, we declined drinks, but the bar and its menu were pretty extensive. When we ordered, we landed on the fresh fish tacos and one of the best seafood linguines I've ever had.
