I wanted to celebrate National Wing Day by supporting a local Black-owned business, and it turned into one of the worst food experiences I've ever had. I was told 30 minutes and waited over an hour. They let you look at your food before you leave, but they really should let customers taste it first, because the fries were rock hard, the wings were so salty they were barely edible, and my drink had been sitting so long it was completely watered down. To top it off, after making me wait all that time, they told me they didn't even have ranch. The prices are ridiculous for food and service of this quality. Anthony Bryant, this is unacceptable. Let's get into it. First you going to get real drums and flats... money's worth! Hands down some of the best lemon pepper wings I've ever had, season in every bite. The garlic parmesan was good, they ensure there's no wing that doesn't have the flavor chosen. The Honey Heaven is next level you will not be disappointed, the perfect combo of spice and sweet. How Petty! I wanted to order 1lb of fried gizzards. The young lady from DD called me to say they only had 1/2 lb left and did I want to substitute chicken liver instead. Who tf still eats chicken liver. NOT ME, EVER! So I asked if I can get 5 LP wings instead. I was told no. My complaint is that I've been supporting wing heaven since there inception and never had this issue before. Wing heaven is located in the shopping center in the midst of a food haven. Parking was pretty easy. We came in and ordered pretty quickly. Within 30 minutes, we were walking out with the most heavenly smelling wings, pun intended. They were piping hot and our order was perfect. The overall taste, was pretty good. I have no complaints. I loved how well the honey old bay wings were seasoned. Not too salty and just the right amount of honey. I would absolutely go back and try the fish and French fries. My Husband and I came here for late night eats the Saturday after Thanksgiving. (Don't judge we was tired of leftovers lol) Anywho, we called at 6:28pm to order two wing combos. They closed at 7pm mind you. We got there at 6:48pm and the food was hot, ready, and delicious. While I was expecting a more hot and spicy hot bbq wing sauce they gave my tastebuds a different perspective on how else it can be serviced (wing heaven did a more spicy rub or season with bbq sauce over it) I am not mad at that it was actually delicious. Placed and online order tonight at about 8pm. The estimated completion time was 10-15 minutes. Went to pickup my order and there were at least 50 people waiting inside. Some had placed their orders at 6pm. There were no employees at the register. The all male staff was in the kitchen. Waited for about an hour and they had not even begun to work on orders that were placed in the 7pm hour. I inquired about a refund and was told that it would take a long time to get a refund and/or my food. Eventually I was given a piece of register tape to write my info down on so that I could receive a refund. I reluctantly wrote my info down. I have no hope that my information will be given to a manager to process a refund. As I was leaving the store, a female employee was arriving. I have "must try" places and "my favorite" places when I come back home to the DMV. Wing Heaven is definitely one of my favorite places to go when I return home, and when I like something, I usually stick with it. I come here solely for the Old Bay Wings and French Fries. It's cooked just right and the taste is amazing!!! I have tried the Lemon Pepper and Honey Wings but nothing compares to the Old Bay Wings. The other two were still good however. My daughter ordered the fried catfish and she said it was great as well. Usually I call in my order so it's ready when I get there but this time I walked in to order. The place is always clean, the people super friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our order to be complete. I have tried wings at other places many times in the past but I keep returning to Wing Heaven in Clinton. I wasn't aware that Wing Heaven was a chain, so I was surprised that they had several locations in MI, PA, MD, as well as in NV. I just thought that their motto was funny - 'Only the Good Chickens make it in' :P The menu offers chicken (wings, boneless, tenders, and gizzards), Polish dogs, fried fish (perch, smelt, catfish nuggets, catfish filet, and butterfly shrimp), sides (bacon & cheddar wedges, jalapeno poppers, mac & cheese wedges, fried vegetables (oka, mushrooms, or cauliflower), pickles, etc.), desserts, and combo/kids meals. They have 18 signature sauces: Scorching, Hot, Medium, Mild, BBQ, Honey BBQ, Hot BBQ, Lemon Pepper, Caribbean Jerk, Sweet & Sour, Sweet Raspberry Pepper, Teriyaki, Mango Habanero, Bourbon, Spicy Garlic, Garlic Parmesan, Honey Heaven, and Honey Mustard. I had the 12-piece wings, in which I got 1/2 Medium, and 1/2 Lemon Pepper. The wings were requested to be 'fried hard,' and while the Medium ones were just okay (the sauce was okay, but the chicken was still a little undercooked), the Lemon Pepper one was actually pretty tasty, as it was crispy and definitely coated extremely well with the lemon pepper seasoning. I saw the chef pulling out a tray of marinated/seasoned wings, which were then proceeded to be fried and then tossed with the sauce of your choice; I thought that was pretty interesting! Wing Heaven also serves Kool-Aid - they have 4 different flavors: Tropical Punch, Grape, Blue Raspberry, and Suicide (which is a mixture of the previous 3) - I tried both, and while both are definitely sweet, they were still tasty and refreshing! I tried raspberry black pepper, old bay, and bourbon wings. They were good, not great. I will try this place again, different flavors and update the review.
