Beef Ribs with Mac 'n Cheese and Yams
    Mary E.

Took a dinner order of beef ribs with 2 large sides of mac 'n' cheese and yams to go. Prices were super fair and the side portions were generous. The flavor on the ribs was amazing, but a few were a little thin on the meat. Service was fast and moving through efficiently. (The line was out the door and steady but it moves.) We wished there was a picnic table so that we could eat outside but to go at home was just fine too. Would definitely try another dish here.

Pull pork, baked beans, potato salad, peach cobbler

I did an online order which is very convenient. The online system gave me a pickup time the food would be ready, but when I went inside to pick up my order it wasn't prepared. I'm not sure if it was just a busy day or they want to ensure you're there so your food is freshly packaged. They put all the food in separate containers and I appreciate that. I was able to control my portions and nothing gets soggy. Everything was fresh. I tried the pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, potato salad and peach cobbler. I enjoyed the food. The sides were basic honestly. Everything was edible but nothing stood out. I did enjoy their peach cobbler. My spouse said it wasn't sweet enough but I think it was simple and to the point. Not too sweet, a good texture and balance of fruit and dough, and some spices. They offer a good portion as well.

Chicken wings, ribs, beans, potato salad, and Mac and cheese

I came on a recommendation from a friend as I've been trying to find good catfish in the area. They're a solid 3 when it comes to the food. The chicken wings were great, as well as the potato salad and macaroni and cheese. However, the ribs and catfish were okay. The ribs were flavorful but tough. I wish they had put sauce on them. The catfish was thin and mildly seasoned. The beans were a little thick/syrupy with a hint of cinnamon or nutmeg. They were okay. Kind of middle of the road. I loved the macaroni and potato salad. I could eat both for days. The chicken was well seasoned. I also ordered peach cobbler and as a lover of all things peach, it was one of the first times I preferred more peach to crust. I'd come back for the wings, potato salad, and macaroni. I'd love to try the smoked/bbq chicken the next visit. The staff was friendly and the service was quick.

The food was great and the service was friendly and patient, especially since it was my first time. I ordered what I thought was a 1 item-entree, but it turned out to be a 3-entree meal. I swapped rice for pancit (a small upcharge), and also got beef, 3 chicken kebabs, and freshly made lumpia. Everything came out to about $30, and I still had leftovers, which was a great value. He was so excited because he had the exact same sandwich last weekend and absolutely loved it. He had been talking about getting another one all week. Unfortunately, what we received today was nothing like the sandwich he enjoyed before. The cheesesteak was completely flattened, almost as if it had been pressed through a panini maker. It lacked the appearance, texture, and overall quality of the sandwich we expected. My son was immediately disappointed, and as a parent, it was frustrating to see after he had been looking forward to it so much. To make matters worse, I drove a total of 30 minutes round trip specifically to get this sandwich, only to end up with a product that was not worth the time, money, or effort. When customers return because they enjoyed a previous experience, they expect consistency. Sadly, that was not the case here. Between the poor quality of the sandwich, the disappointment it caused my son, and the money spent on something that did not meet expectations, I can honestly say I will not be returning. Very disappointing experience.

I get it that it's slow and hot af in the building, but maybe look up once in 5 minutes to see if the only customers you have had all day need anything. We are literally ticket 5 at 230 in the afternoon. Also, how do you only have coke and sprite with no other soda options when you have 4 things on the menu that come with a soda and cant upcharge to the teas? Doesn't make sense from a business standpoint point. Below are pictures of the food by the time we drove 20 minutes home. The burgers flavorwise were delicious! But honestly there's no point cooking a wagyu smash burger well done when the whole reason to have wagyu is to taste the fat content. Also, 17$ for a double burger a la carte? Excuse me? The only reason I suggest coming here is if you have a coupon or discount code. The fries for the burger combo were not good but the wagyu loaded fries were fire. Overall, cook the fries a little more for crispness. Def will not be back unless new owners or drastic menu changes. Jake n kev

Luckily, I looked at that review as an outlier and decided to try anyway based on many of the other favorable ones. Ordered the stuffed salmon. It comes with crab meat and a single shrimp sitting on top. Salmon was very smoky which was very nice. There was a tiny bit of shell in the crab meat and it was a tad dry (as was the fish). The dipping sauce had way too much apple cider vinegar. Food was otherwise seasoned very well. The order was prepared and delivered to me outside in around 5 min so I suspect the food was probably sitting for a bit under heat lamps. Next time I'll get here immediately after opening. Smoked red skinned garlic mashed potatoes was my side, along with sauteed cabbage. The mashed potatoes almost look like dressing due to all the seasonings. Everything was a little over $30. No place to sit because you aren't staying. The folks can cook so I would actually check it out again. They have interesting lamb entrees and some other stuff I'd like to try.
