A group of had recently ordered a delivery from America's Best Wings, and although the ratings for this place seemed a little shaky, we decided to give them a try. I had the Philly Cheesesteak Sub, which I went with pretty much all of the toppings - provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, and mayo - the jalapenos were missing, which was a little annoying. The sub itself was generously filled and very meaty. I probably would opt out of getting lettuce and tomatoes, as those don't hold well for the delivery, and they ended up being super soggy from the steam. Delivery was made on time and was seamless. +generously-filled subs +online ordering and delivery available

If I could rate a ZERO I would. For one I ordered nuclear and honey lemon I got nuclear and regular wings no sauce what so ever. The chicken I received I know for a fact is OLD the chicken is dry and hard the whole 15 wings I received were the same (Hard and Dry). I ordered Boneless wings and received all BoneIn I can't believe they are not scaring the phone either if I could give them a 0 I really would

I have been craving lemon pepper wings for a week or so. I finally caved and made my way to get some. I ordered 20 wings, 10 lemon pepper all flats for me and 10 honey old bay all rounds/drums for my friend. They came out within 10 minutes, tasted fresh and were hot. The lemon pepper were a bit salty and my friend said the honey old bay could've been more wet. Overall, they were good. I would come here again.

Wrong order, Should've been 5 Piece Wings Combo and 10 Piece Boneless Wings

Last night I came in order a 5 piece bone-in wings combo and 10 piece boneless. I did not receive my fries with my combo nor did I receive my 10 piece boneless but instead bone-in.

They don't honor these at this store but they did give me a free soda : o)

This is one of the better ABW in the DC area. Unless you come within the last hour of closing, you get quality and fresh wings.

We've been to different Ted's locations a few times, but never when they had their cinnamon roll, so we had to try it. It literally was as big as my head and it was delicious! The rest of breakfast was phenomenal too. My wife got the pancake stack and I got the avocado toast to balance out the cinnamon roll lol. 10/10 recommend for a delicious breakfast on the weekend. I decided to to bold and ordered the chicken and biscuits. Unlike the photos I saw on Yelp, they now give you two chicken biscuits and hash browns. I asked for the hot honey on the side but it was liquid instead of thick. It was delicious but not as spicy as I had expected. The biscuits were superb! So thick and flaky, freshly baked. I wish I had some jam on the side. The fried chicken was solid but thin so a little dry. My spouse had the burger and he said it was amazing. The fries are great but some were a little too salty. What was mind blowing and the reason we came in the first place were the Ted's Tarts. I absolutely love pop tarts from child hood but no longer eat them because I know better but these were the tarts of my adulthood dreams. We ordered one of each flavor because we were flying back to CA later that evening and also, why not? The fillings were rich and ultra flavorful. The pastry was flaky and delicate. Just WOW! Also, it is in a super cute neighborhood and it has a coffee/alcohol bar. I mean, come on!

Finally made it to The Duck & The Peach and I'm already planning my next visit…read more The space strikes that perfect balance. It feels upscale and thoughtfully designed without being stuffy or uncomfortable. The duck absolutely lived up to the hype. I'm usually hesitant ordering duck since it can be undercooked, but this was done perfectly and incredibly flavorful. Easily the standout dish of the night. We also tried a fish dish that was solid, but if you're choosing, go for the duck every time. There's a mushroom appetizer that I wish I could remember the name of because it's a must-order. Same goes for the crudo, which was fresh and delicious. And I have to mention the bread and butter. The pink pumpernickel bread paired with that perfectly whipped butter was unreal. Simple, but done exceptionally well. The whipped mashed potatoes deserve their own moment too. They were so smooth and rich they basically melted in your mouth. And then dessert sealed the deal. The Black Forest cake was absolutely divine. Truly a 1000/10 moment. The only real miss for me came at the very end. They handed out bright red DoorDash bags for leftovers, and it completely clashed with the otherwise polished experience. When I asked about it, I was told they use them because they're free, which honestly made it feel even more out of place. A small detail, but it took away from an otherwise beautifully curated night. Overall, still an amazing dinner. Not sure what took me so long to try this place, but I'll definitely be back.

The room has warmth and intention. They want you to feel like you're at a dinner party. Fine. But we came for brunch, and brunch is where the concept starts to strain a little. The brunch burger is the best example. A burger, by design, is not an upscale item. You can execute it at a high level, but it fights the premise. This one had a dense, undersized patty sitting inside a brioche bun that was doing too much. The bun-to-meat ratio was so off that I finished the patty and kept chewing bun on its own for another few bites. That's not a burger. That's a bread course that happened to contain meat. The steak and eggs were prepared well, no complaints there. And a note on the "fries": they're actually cubed home fries, which caught me off guard, but the portion was bigger than expected and they were solid. The bakery basket was good. The pastry program here has a real reputation and you can taste why, even if nothing in it made me stop mid-bite. The service charge situation is worth knowing about going in. A 20% service charge is added automatically, in lieu of gratuity. At least they're upfront about it on the website, but it's the kind of thing that makes you do math on every item as you read the menu. The food overall is fine. Genuinely fine. Nothing was bad. But for what they're charging in this context, and with the pedigree they're trading on, "fine" doesn't close the loop. DC has no shortage of brunch spots that either deliver more for the price or at least give you one thing you're still thinking about the next day. Nothing here did that. Maybe dinner is a different story. The rotisserie program is what they're really built around, and I'd be willing to find out. But for brunch specifically, I wouldn't prioritize coming back.

I chose Ambar for my group, and I'm very pleased with our selection. Food Most of our group had dietary restrictions. Several of us were gluten free, and one person was both nut and seafood free. Ambar did an excellent job curating a menu that worked for everyone without making anyone feel like an afterthought. We opted for the Chef's Table experience, which included a spread tasting with veggie sticks and a variety of dishes that were clearly labeled and thoughtfully prepared: * Bean hummus - GF / DF / NF * Ajvar - GF / DF / NF * Balkan salad - GF / DF / NF (one prepared without feta cheese) * Baby carrots - GF / DF / NF (one prepared without tofu sauce) * Roasted peppers - GF / DF / NF * Cauliflower - GF / DF / NF * Baked beans - GF / DF / NF * Roasted lamb - GF / DF / NF * Stuffed pork belly "Sarma" - GF / DF / NF * Brussels sprouts - GF / DF / NF (one prepared without yogurt and bacon) * Seafood platter Everything was flavorful, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The meal was so delicious that I didn't even manage to get photos of everything, which rarely happens for me. Just know we dined very well and left completely satisfied. Service The staff was wonderful from start to finish. From the event team member who served as our account manager, to the chef, to the servers and wait staff, everyone was attentive and accommodating. They handled our dietary needs with care and professionalism and made sure our group felt taken care of throughout the evening. Pricing We paid a set fee that we were able to negotiate, and the final rate wasn't too bad for a group experience like this. Just keep in mind that there is an admin fee, a 20% gratuity, and taxes added on top, so be sure to factor that into your planning if you're booking a group event. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend Ambar for group dining, especially if you have guests with dietary restrictions. They made coordination easy, delivered great food, and created a memorable dining experience for our team.

But overall a solid spot for to come with a group and a good way to try a variety of Balkan-inspired dishes.
