Miniature overcooked wings plus feathers which I took off
    Lisa-Sue M.

Urgh why can't the feathers be removed off of all 5 wings before they are cooked? Overcooked or recooked and tiny wings not like you would expect when the item is described as wings However, in their defense they did not specify the size of the wings. But this is not the place to order Wings lol Sweet potatoes were good

Might have went to the wrong one, this one didn't have enough crack on it, chickens were crispy though but the chicken was just like a regular fried chicken nothing out of this world. Could have caught them on a off day. Will be back in hopes to change my review.

    Terrible

Don't waste your time on the banana pudding. The photo is a lie online. It's banana-flavored pudding with 6 nilla wafers. It's a crime.

Absolutely disappointing and unsanitary! Should DOH (DC Dept of Health) be contacted like ASAP?!?!?!

    Small container of coleslaw

Idk I've never thought to write a review before today... but tonight I ordered the trout and I immediately thought I needed to stop eating, take a picture and write a review lol. I'll start by saying that I've placed large orders of chicken/ fish for events and it's always ready at the requested pick up time. Anytime I've gone to this location, it's clean and they are pretty fast. That saying, I've moved a bit away and now use uber eats. Anywho, this trout was surprisingly delish! Crispy and seasoned just right! I also ordered one piece of Catfish & whiting. The Catfish batter didn't seem to stick as well as the other two (trout & whiting) but they all were delish. I love that the meals come with fries & coleslaw. I'm sure the coleslaw is probably a pre-made mix but it's still delish! I can definitely do without the slices of white bread, but that's a personal preference! They always throw in a ton of additional condiments too!

Clams so hard I was scared to bite into it!

I didn't expect five star seafood but I did expect it to be edible!! My intuition kept telling my greedy azz to not order seafood from this place! The fried clams could knock someone' unconscious if you throw it at someone! The 3 slices of white bread, why? Then they gave me a end piece so it made it more disrespectful! Money wasted, food wasted! Just check the videos & pics! I'm more pissed because I ordered via postmates so I paid extra ‍...

    Skinny wing not worth $2

I don't mind small wings, but I don't want to pay big wing prices for them. Regular run of the mill wings as far as flavor is concerned. Not bad, but not super flavorful or juicy. Would nor recommend or order again.

    10 pc wings

Mmmm who doesn't love some fried chicken wings! The 10 pc meal was a get deal and the seasoning was done pretty well. Salty with just a hint of sweetness, though you've definitely have to eat it with the hot sauce. Although it's a chicken and fish place, they must keep their oil separate because the chicken didn't taste fishy at all. My only complaint is that a couple piece were a little on the dry side. The fried okra was also a really solid side, though the Mac and cheese was just ok. Overall, it was a pretty solid choice and I'd come back again!

    Eva L.

My friend raved about the chicken wings from Hip Hop Chicken and I'd have to say it was pretty good. The price is also not too bad for 10 chicken wings and some small sides. The chicken wing dinner plate was well worth it. It comes with 10 wings that came with Hip Hops special seasoning, fries, a piece of white bread and cole slaw. The seasoning definitely adds a new taste to it, almost cheesy but also sweet. Kind of like white cheddar that you put on popcorn with sugar. The bread as the side is pretty much just any white wonderbread but their cole slaw was nice sweet and crunchy. We also ordered sides of Mac and cheese was yummy but oh man the side of brussel sprouts were delicious.

Our waitress read the room immediately. With a very hungry pregnant lady at the table she prioritized the Parker house rolls without being asked. This kind of attention to detail sets the tone. We later learned she was a fellow Cancer with a birthday coming up. Cancer energy is real!!! The food and drinks did not disappoint. Asparagus, calamari, shrimp cocktail, coal roasted oysters, chicken chermoula, and lump crab gratin. Worth every penny. One tip worth sharing, ask for a bit of sea salt for the chicken. The first taste lacked it and that small addition made all the difference. We were five deep which honestly matched the energy of most tables around us. The space was bright and airy and the round tables made for great socializing, easy sharing, and yes some excellent boomerang pics. Checkout was seamless. Splitting the check evenly with tap to pay right at the table got us out quickly and on to the next stop. Puddin is a crowd favorite so we left room to run over there even though the dessert menu at Cordelia looked amazing. From a post embassy hang to friends up from Richmond, Cordelia meets every occasion at the table. We said a table worth coming back to again and again. Visit two confirmed it.

He was a big reason why I would return. For appetizers, we tried the Crab Gratin and Cinnamon Roll, and both were amazing. We would definitely order them again! We also did the tiki bottomless cocktails, and they were absolutely worth it. The drinks were high quality, creative, and there was something for everyone. For the entrees, everyone had a mix of favorites and dishes they liked less. The biggest highlights were the Steak and Eggs and the Crab Benedict. Both were tasty, although the portions were just okay. On the other hand, the Shrimp and Grits were a bit of a letdown. While the dish tasted good, the portion was surprisingly small and did not feel like a full entrée. We left feeling unsatisfied from a meal standpoint, so unfortunately, I would not recommend that dish. Overall, we will absolutely be coming back to try their dinner menu soon!

On July 2, around 3:00 p.m., a friend and I visited this restaurant for lunch. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich without the bun, and it came with a side of fries. Everything seemed normal at the time, but later that day I became extremely ill. I have since been diagnosed with food poisoning, and more than 48 hours later I am still dealing with the symptoms. Based on the timing of my illness and my medical evaluation, I believe this meal was the source of my food poisoning. This experience has been physically exhausting and has completely changed my confidence in eating here. Food safety should always be a top priority, and unfortunately my experience has left me very concerned. I sincerely hope the restaurant reviews its food handling and preparation practices so no one else has to go through what I've experienced. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend dining here.

Anywho, ordered on door dash for pick up and it was ready by the time the app said it would be. I got a half lb of shrimp (head on) with the world special sauce and half a dozen lemon pepper wings. All my food was piping hot and high quality. Shrimp was sweet and firm, so you know it was fresh and cooked perfectly. The world special sauce isn't a flavor explosion like the whole shabang at Boiling Crab, but it was still enjoyable. It came with a corn on the cob and potato, but no sausages Wings were crunchy and good sized. The lemon pepper seasoning was light, so let em know if you prefer heavy seasoning. The inside is small with only 4 stools, but it's a great upgrade from the interior of Rhode Island Ave Express. Dessert options don't look that great. Service was also friendly. It definitely wins on proximity for me and I would order from here again.
