The inspector, JT, was friendly and clear spoken and took his time going through everything. He used some kind of high-tech equipment to measure our floors and figure out how much our slab was off, then walked us through all his findings in plain English. Turns out we didn't need any major foundation work right now (which was a huge relief!), but JT still gave us some great tips on how to prevent future issues. I really appreciated how honest he was -- no pressure, no upselling, just straightforward advice. It's nice to know there are still honest foundation companies out there that care more about helping people than just making a quick buck. Gave a hour and a 10 min notification of arrival. He walked the exterior and interior of the house. He pointed out possible concerns. Eventually brought in a machine and took multiple measurement throughout the house. He explained what was considered acceptable. He gave me recommendations on how to help my foundation, and what to look out for. He was very relaxed and informative. He wasn't pushy or trying to push me into getting foundation work done. When I went to pick up my vehicle there was an older tire on the rear(this is not industry standard, new tires always go on the rear). After asking the counter why? They said we talked about replacing the front tires, but even after paying for a balance and rotation of the tires, just replacing took place. He said I didn't ask for the good tires to be on the back. If the employees working at a tire/mechanic shop do not know a basic industry standards, I wouldn't trust them to do anything else more critical with my vehicles.

I tried to back it off and discovered they had cross threaded the plug and tried putting some kind of sealant. I told her to take it back, but didn't mention what I knew about the plug. She took it back and they "fixed it". The third time, I went with her and the service guy said it just needed a new crush washer and it was good to go. "What about the cross threaded plug?" The response was silence and kind of a stupid look. "No, it wasn't cross threaded." Bullshit! Ended up having a new oil pan put on eating the cost. Easy to see why Discount Tire is mopping the floor with NTB. Never again.

Excuses ranged from personal issues to delays caused by Hurricane Beryl, but communication was inconsistent at best. When Scott's "crew" finally arrived, they clearly lacked the skills needed for the job, using a tree branch for measurements and leaving posts improperly set. Scott promised to waive the labor portion of the bill due to the delays but never followed through. Months later, after more excuses and no progress, he said he could be out the following week to finish the job--if we paid the labor cost he had previously agreed to waive. By that point, we had already hired another contractor to tear out the poorly installed posts and complete the fence in a single day. Additionally, Scott failed to pay his workers, who later came to our home asking for payment. While Scott may be personable, his work is unprofessional, unreliable, and unacceptable.
