If you see on my previous review from Nail Lux, I gave 5 stars and I have been coming for a few years, but lately the service has felt rushed and non personable. Then in May 2026 about three weeks ago I went to get pedicure and had an unpleasant experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wanted a purple for my toes and the tech kept bring me other colors except the purple I wanted.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She seemed frustrated and I ended up going with rose gold color and she never said goodbye[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and I had polish on the edge of my big toe which I asked another tech to help clean off and she kindly did. Horrible customer service! They prejudge you when they first walk in. They provided no welcoming when we first walked through the door. My daughter had Kevin. He did a good job on her nails, but while waiting for her nails to dry he started clipping and filing his own nails. Very unsanitary. I had Hera on my nails. She was worse. She quickly did my nails without cleaning the filings at the ends of my nails. When she supposedly finished, she abruptly got up and went to another customer without saying a word. I did mess up my nails when putting on my coat, but she was kind enough to redo it using clear polish. While I was sitting there, I noticed they only welcomed certain people that walked through the door. Therefore we felt judged. I am a writer from NYC and my daughter works in the medical field. They need to learn proper ethics and customer service. Do not judge a book by its cover. They lost our service since we are shopping around for a local nail technician. We will never return to Nail Lux in Naperville, but hopefully this is a lesson they will learn. Someone needs to report them to BBB and it might be me. read more

I love how relaxing the salon is and my pedicure experience was great. I got gel manicure and it looks nice so far. I was a little disappointed because my toes got all messed up and smudged within hours of having them done and I was told it was okay to put my socks and shoes on (and had not put them on for a solid hour as I got a manicure done after pedicure). They did not wrap my toes in Saran Wrap or anything. I went back about 5 hours later and they were able to touch up my toes. read more

I am not someone who typically complains, but this experience was absolutely unacceptable. During my spa pedicure with a friend, I noticed several red flags, but one in particular was beyond disturbing. A nail technician from another station took water from my friends bowl--AFTERRRRRRR already placing her feet in it--and poured it into my bowl. If that wasn't bad enough, he then proceeded to take water from my friend's bowl AGAIN and poured it into someone else's. This is completely unsanitary and incredibly unprofessional. I am appalled that this was allowed to happen. read more

Have been seeing Z for about 3 months and she is amazing. Since moving to the area 3 years ago, I have searched for a nail tech far and wide. I have tried at least 15 salons, and I'm finally confident I have found the diamond. She is truly an artist. The salon is clean, relaxing and friendly. Not the cattle-herding I've experienced other places. They have tons of pedi massage chairs that are in like-new condition (some places they have looked 2nd hand & don't work). They aren't the cheapest place in town, but you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a nail salon you don't have to look any further once you come here. read more

I recently got my nails done at Nails Lux, May 15th to be exact. They cost me $62 for a fill in with yellow French tips, it is now only May 24 and all of my nails are off except for one. I was in the pool and all of the nails chipped and came off, the left thumb nail actually chipped on the 21. I'm so disgusted with this bc I do not live close to this nail shop and it was absolutely horrible quality, typically my nails last 3+ weeks and do not chip. So relaxing! The aesthetics of the salon are clean and modern. I appreciate the tranquil music. They have a great selection of polishes and are very organized about it. I have visited this salon twice now. My schedule is always a bit crazy so both visits have been on a walk-in basis (I was courteous enough to call a bit before though) and they were kind enough to take me in both times. My first visit was a regular manicure (can't remember the male tech's name) and I received many compliments throughout the week! I'm back for a second week in a row for a regular mani/ pedi and yet again, very happy with my results! Dana's pedicure was heavenly, she was very thorough from start to finish and it didn't feel rushed like many other places I have been to in the past. If I can give zero star to this place I would due to the fact that I received sub standard service and quality from this place. Worst nail technician and management doesn't seem to care. First time I went there to do my nail, the technician was very impatient and kept asking me a few times am I ready, did I choose my color, it wasn't even 5 minutes. When she sat me down she did my nails for less than 15 minutes and quickly went on break. I noticed later that the some of my nails weren't even because she did it so quick. I had the powder dipped nails done. I didn't provide feedback as it was recommended by my sister in law so I thought maybe they were just busy. The second time I went back they gave me the same nail technician. This time I know what color I wanted and she quickly sat me down and disappeared for 10 minutes. Not surprised, she hot my nail done in less than 15 minutes. I am done with this place. There's so many nail place out there who really care about customer's experience. read more

I never leave reviews, but this time I had to. TERRIBLE customer service! Never go there! I had my no chip done and my nails peeled. I was out of town and as soon as I returned on the 10th day, went back to get them fixed. Lily was extremely rude and accused me of not being a prior customer. Rushed and treated me very poorly. They said they would do the exact same color, even though the color was chipping and said if I wanted a different color, I would have to pay. Will never be going there again!!! read more

I went in for an acrylic set tonight and they took me right away. It was my first time coming here and I had Ryan and he did my nails amazingly, they're my favorite i've ever had. I showed him a picture and he started right away and they look EXACTLY like the picture i couldn't have been happier with the results. The salon is really cute and clean. On 03/06/22 I walked in for a nail repair the older gentleman at the front desk told me to come back in thirty minutes and that is what I did. It was 11:24 when I walked out and it was 11:56 when I came back. I had a mask on the first time I came in, and the second time I was on the phone and forgot it in my car, and I ran to my car and got my mask. Please be respectful this was not the first time you all had me sitting waiting to be seen. The last two times were appointment. Obviously I'm not special in you guys eyes because on 2/12 I waiting 30 minutes with a appointment and then another 20 when I was sat at the bowl for a pedicure and was never taken care of. Yes I do think you all show racial bias. The last 3 visits I have seen black women disregarded and passed over maybe that's not your issue but the older gentleman definitely has one. Feel however you want to feel but this is a review of the service I received and I have the receipts for the services. My issue on the 12th was not address and the issue I experienced on the 27th was ignored. As the "owner" you should have addressed me in a different manner, it's bad enough the experiences were not what they should have been but today would have gone differently if the guy at the desk kept track of what appointments he makes. Don't come on here and lie to try to make yourself look better own up to the mistakes you made but don't attack me. I can't tell you what the reason are for the treatment received but I can tell you how it made me feel. Again these are my experiences and you never address me or got on the phone when I called the first time on 2/12. I came to this salon as a last resort and was incredibly disappointed. On top of the bad costumer service, I had a horrible time at this place. I had two nails break only a few days after getting them done and afterwards I had a nail break immediately after getting it repaired. They also charge extra for "gel powder" which was actually just a colored acrylic powder. Gel is called "gel" because of the consistency. I went to beauty school for my license and let me tell you there is no such thing as "gel powder"they are simply trying to upcharge you. If it was worth it I would have gone back even with the upcharge, but the quality was so shitty and so was the costumer service. (the picture tagged is what my acrylic nails looked like after an hour of soaking in acetone. This is not normal for legal nail products in Illinois. Only mma, which is illegal in nail salons, takes this long to dissolve in regular acetone.) read more

Made me feel important. She always dad a fenomenale job with my dipped nails. We are moving and I am sad that I will have to find a new place. I have been here twice now and had an amazing experience both times! The first time (BEFORE Thanksgiving) I got a dip manicure and it stayed 5+ weeks without chipping or breaking at all. If I can give this place a zero star I would, I have been going to this nail salon since it open one of the first customers supported them on social media told all my friends and family about this place all started to go there until today where I sat on chair crying couldn't wait to leave. I had my appointment at 1:45 I went in there asked them to take off the old gel power since I have it for a year now and wanted to start with fresh power because my nails is damaged. No one saw me until 2:15 never complained I understand they are running behind, then owner called me to sit at his table he started taking off the old gel powder while he is complaining why I want to take it off huffing puffing again I explained why and it's a service and I will pay for it. Then moved me to a different station fine took another 15 for someone to come and see me! She took off the old gel on my nails that was dirty and old! Then she disappear without saying anything. Waited another 20 minutes then someone else came to finish my nails wanted to do a service I never asked for and when I expressed that's not what I asked for she said ok I'll do what You want and told the owner what I want. He came to the station started arguing with me I said I'm sorry You misunderstood he kept yelling and arguing I kept quiet, then he come back and say this is your last time here I said don't worry won't be coming back! I kept quiet waiting for my nails to finish couldn't not wait to leave. Checking out they have told me I have $10 off from my service because I earned point which he refused to give me.
