I came to American Tire to replace the tires on my wheels. I clearly explained that I only needed tires. Instead, the staff immediately started trying to upsell things I did not ask for, including a spare wheel rim and other unnecessary items. After that, they also tried to sell me windshield wipers. I eventually agreed to the wipers, but the constant pressure to buy additional things I didn't request was already uncomfortable. I had limited time and even canceled an important meeting because this place was recommended to me as reliable. Then, right when I expected my car to be ready, they called and suddenly claimed my wheel bolts were "worn out" and that they had no idea who installed them. Three years ago I had my tires replaced at Costco and everything worked perfectly since then. Instead of explaining the issue clearly or suggesting a simple solution, they immediately told me I needed to replace all four wheel rims. I came in for tires and suddenly they were telling me I needed completely new wheels. This felt extremely suspicious and unnecessary. Bolts cost very little, yet they insisted I needed expensive new rims. When I asked for a refund and my car back, they said they had already taken the car apart and were concerned about my "safety." It sounded more like pressure to force me into buying expensive parts I didn't come in for. After a long and stressful discussion I finally managed to get my refund, but the entire experience wasted my time and caused unnecessary stress. I canceled a meeting, trusted the recommendations about this place, and instead dealt with aggressive upselling and confusing explanations. Based on this experience, I will not return and cannot recommend this location. If you are looking for a place to change your tires, you may want to consider other options. read more

I echo other reviews on here about appointment times being useless. If you don't value your time, this is the place. Spent a $1000 on tires and came in for my first rotation. I showed up on time for my appointment, had to wait 30 minutes in line while walk-in clients and phone orders were helped before me. Finally gave them my keys and was told the wait would be 45 minutes. Tire rotation is a pretty quick operation. Pretty ridiculous process for a service that I paid for "lifetime servicing of tire". Should've gone to Costco, at least they honor appointment times. read more

I went in yesterday to get a nail removed. Your sales team told me to replace the one tire instead of fixing it.. then I get tagged by replacing all of my wheels. All used tires. Scratch marks all around the tire. I didnt have much in my bank yet I thought it wasnt important to replace them, yet they were new tires, at least 3 months. Not used. Yet I get used tires here? And for what? I just wanted to get one nail out. I also over heard other costumers aboit their nail problem and they weren't charged for it. Yet I was charged and had all gores replaced. Usually this place is professional but today my experience was terrible! First and foremost I had a 3:15 pm appointment and stood in line from 3:15 until 3:32pm. No one acknowledgment my presence or anyone else's in line. Once the sales clerk was ready he did not apologize for the delay as I told him I had a 3:15 appt and it's now 17 min later.. Another 5 star experience. I hit something with both my passenger side tires... It pretty much flattened the front one, and I found out later that it ruined the sidewall on the back. I was less than a mile from the Rancho Cordova store, so I limped the car in. It was 6 PM, just as they were closing, so they said they would keep it in their bay overnight, and look at it in the morning. They called me in the morning, advising that yes, both tires need to be replaced. I came into the shop, and met with Benjamin. He was extremely friendly, and helpful. I have never gotten any less with anyone at this company. The right 2 tires were covered under the road, hazard warranty, (worth every penny! ) but because my Subaru is an all wheel drive, (as all Subaru are ) all 4 tires had to be replaced. Benjamin worked with me, and we got all 4 tires replaced at a very reasonable price, which included my military/veteran discount. Besides the great customer service, they are very easy to work with. You can shop for your tires online, and then you can do your own research on the tires you are looking at, to make sure it's the right tire for you. You can purchase the tires online, they will give you any discount you have, and make an appointment to come in. Or, you can just do it the old fashioned way, and come in. The best tire shop ever. You would feel obligated to rate them high after services. Some may wonder how the very generous pricing with high end tire services and equivalents would make enough to pay staff? I just completed a regular RV services, no charge! I actually feel somewhat guilty. I had indicated some of the requests I must pay. No thank you by them, as they have some serious warranty polices, and you don't know but they follow them. I had a set date with them to get 2 new tires. I was very clear it HAD to be that date because I was leaving the next day on a road trip.. or I would have continued to call around other places. I was told I would get a call morning of around 11am when tires came in. 12:30pm I called them since I hadn't heard anything. Was told tires would not arrive until next day. They said they would call around to get tires elsewhere and would call me back. Good thing I did my own calling around too cuz I never heard back from them. I have been coming here for years and have always had a good experience. The shop is on the busy corner of Sunrise and Folsom Blvd tucked in the back behind Brookfields. It's always busy there. One thing I use a lot is their free tire pressure check. You drive up and stay in your car while a tech checks all four tires and inflates them properly. This is a great service. I needed new tires recently and they gave me a quote over the phone and made a phone appointment for me. I came in and they took care of me right away. My car was completely done in about 90 minutes. Friendly, helpful and efficient. Not sure what more I could ask for. Our family's go to tire place. read more

I had a nail in my front passenger tire, called in for a an appointment as my day was booked and didn't have time to waste and this team deeeeelivered. As soon as I arrived for my appointment I was immediately greeted. one team member called me by name as he remembered my vehicles description that I gave over the phone (HUGE PLUS AS THIS MADE ME FEEL WELCOMED) the whole team was positive and busy assisting clients. If you have a nail or a flat tire, I highly recommend coming here 1st To have it checks before going anywhere else. It's usually the case they will patch it up they don't charge anything unless they have to actually put on a new tire. Rarely would I be inclined to review a tire shop, however, after my most recent visit at America's tires, the customer service was outstanding and I felt a review was needed. I originally brought my car in when my tire pressure light came on. The staff checked my tire pressure and filled any tires that were low. They let me know that if my tire pressure light came on again, to come in and they would do a complete tire inspection. While I was there, I happened to ask how often you should have your tires rotated, since I have never had my tires rotated since purchasing my vehicle. They let me know that it is best practice to rotate them every 10,000 miles or so; with my car at almost 60,000 miles, I was clearly long overdue. I made an appointment for the very next day to have my tires rotated. Since I was the first appointment of the day, they got my tire rotation done quickly and I was on my way. But what surprised me the most was when I went to pay and they said it was free of charge. Gasp! Nothing in this life is free so I was completely dumbfounded and pleasantly surprised. And then I realized that I'm getting old because I got excited about a free tire rotation. You win some, you lose some. read more

This used to be a stellar America's Tire location. It pains me to have to say this but, the loss of the former manager here has turned this once great store into a complete joke currently. The previous manager was a true "Team leader" whom built a great crew of technicians that were attentive, polite, detail oriented and prompt. They enjoyed being there and helping each customer's needs. Unfortunately, as is with all businesses, that manager left and with him, most of the crew that worked there. This location in less than 2 years has made a complete 180 in the wrong direction. If regional management wants to make this location what it once was, find a true leader that can build a team and understands what the term "Management" truly means. You can give anyone a title, but that doesn't make them as such, their actions do. Will never return here again after 3 poor experiences in the last 18 months. Adios fellas. read more

I'd like to address the negative reviews written by people with mac and cheese for brains: 1. Damage to the side wall of tires is not repairable. They are not trying to upsell you, it's a safety issue. Thy made recommendations to replace it and two oxygen thieves declined assuming the store was trying to sell them something they don't need. 2. When they recommend you buy new tires--your tires are bald or close to--which again, is for safety issues. This is not a THEY problem, it's a YOU problem. 3. Grease on the tire. One review is shrieking about grease on a tire. Let that sink in. The cockwomble is complaining about a grease mark on a tire. This is a tire shop, not a car detailing place. 4. Nobody here is rude. Look at yourselves in the mirror and perhaps they're simply returning the energy you're giving them. read more

My car said "Check tire pressure", so I did. It was low, so I pumped it up. Got in the car and drove several miles, and the INFO thing came on and repeated the warning. So I drove to America's Tire in Rancho Cordova, where I've been buying my tires for about 10 years now. Jesse and his coworkers checked all my tires, replaced the valve in the tire I thought would need to be replaced, rebalanced and rotated the tires, and then informed me that everything was okay. No other repairs were needed, the wipers were fine, and my car was in great shape. And, believe it or not -- there was NO Charge! The employees were friendly, helpful, took time to make sure I was fully informed, and made my face smile and my heart happy. These guys are really awesome!! read more

Yesterday I went in for maintenance rotation and balance of my tires. Added on new wiper blades as the several signs hinted they sell. Good move! The process to check-in online is easy. The two people greeting and checking in the customers were polite, confident, and clearly knew the services well. Each time I have been in for tire rotation to buying four new tires for my son's car, they have listened to what I want. They offer options and help one work through what best fits their needs. We went out, inspected the damage on the tire and reviewed the tread on the tires.
