I decided to come here because I saw the high reviews but I didn't expect much because chain stores usually have bad service. Boy, was I wrong. The service was great. Went to get a flat tire repaired and made an appointment supposedly on the website it was free of charge. Got there and the front desk person asked to see the tire and gave me some bs about the threads in the middle being beyond repair and that I needed new tires. They said I would have to get two because to balance it. Quoted 98 per tire not including service fees and taxes. Asked them if they could tell me if the spare needed air and they told me that they would have to inspect it rather than just saying yes or no. Went to get a second opinion at les Schwab and they fixed it free of charge because it had a hole in it. I felt as is they wanted to make a quick buck and tried to convince me of the lies they were telling me. Definitely get a second opinion if you go here. read more

He had us a new tire on the wheel within minutes so I could run it back down and put it on to bring back to get the 2nd tire fixed . I took my car in because I had a nail in my tire, the tire was purchased about a year ago with their road hazard add on and the Rep told me that they will not cover my tire because it's worn out but continued to offer to sell me the whole set of tires. I had just taken my car in to the dealership for service about a month and they state that my tires are fine. The Rep refused to help or even offer to patch my tire, why buy the road hazard when they refuse to honor it? I took my business to Costco instead, bought the tire through them which was less expensive and for a better tire. I will never come back or buy anything from America's Tire ever again. read more

My car happened to get a flat tire on a Sunday and I had it on a spare for about 2 days. I had made an appointment online. I was very concerned about how long it would take, and I didn't want to miss too much work in the morning. I spoke to Arturo the first time and assured me that my car would roughly take 30-40 minutes max. I went in on a Tuesday morning before opening at 8am. There was 2 other people there. I was helped by Frank, who asked me what I needed to be done and then came back to tell me what they recommended. Frank told me it was recommended I get 2 tires ( I had not replaced my tires in about 5 years, I don't drive a lot). I thought initially they would try to over sell me with buying all four. Frank quoted me with a price and tire product equivalent to what I had. Asked me if I wanted to go cheaper in price or more expensive. I went with their recommendation and got 2 tires. Zach kept me informed about the progress on my car and then drove it out to me. All the employees were very helpful and offered very good customer service. They got me out of there by 8:25! I was very impressed and made it to work a little late. I will definitely be coming back! read more

I came to this store for a tire repair because of a nail. My vehicle was inspected and suggested that all 4 tires be replaced. Unfortunately, the 4 run-flat tires has to be ordered. Since 1 tire was loosing air, it was again suggested to fix it but if it cannot be fixed we will place a regular generic tire until the 4 run-flat tires arrives. I agreed and just before they remove the 1 flat tire, they again made a suggestion to replace all 4 tires so as not to damage my 4WD system. I inquired if it will be credited when the new 4 run-flat tires arrives and the answer was no. I am suppose to buy 4 new regular generic tires until 4 new run-flat tires arrives the following day. Pay $404.00 and then discard after 1 day and pay almost $1,200.00 for permanent replacement. What kind of scam is this ? I cannot leave because allegedly they cannot find my wheel lock key ! After 15 minutes it was miraculously found with another receipt plastic container. Seriously ? How dumb do you think the public is ? When I left the store the other 3 good tires was emptied of air and running flat. The 1 damaged tire with a nail has 32 lbs of air. I discovered this when I was driving and the steering was heavy. Since I have 50 miles on run flat tires I was able to re-inflate my other tires at Costco where I ordered 4 new run-flat tires. It was cheaper, easy and no deception. Why is this deceitful sales practice necessary ? Caution to the public. I will never buy anything from this store. read more

I got a really bad flat on the right rear tire. There was two nails that were found. I took it to this location based on their reviews. The associates were very welcoming and friendly. They explained to me if the tire isnt able to be patched up that I have other options. The associate that helped me was not trying to make a sale and I loved that. My tire was patchable and I walked out there with nothing charged! They did an awesome job on patching up my tire and recommended that if I get another flat on the same tire that it would be advisable to change to a new one. Made an appointment to have tires rotated on my 2011 Toyta Venza. Arrived 10 minutes early to find table in front with "check in here" sign. Of course no one was around for the "check in" - waited, waited, and still waited - finally 20 minutes later - 10 minutes AFTER my appointment time, someone finally comes out :-( After noting that my tires and automobile are in excellent condition, salesman proceeds to do a new form of UPSELL attempting to extort hundreds of dollars for un-necessary new tires with the excuse that the tires are more than 6 years old. Since I always keep the car in the garage, the tires are in excellent shape with lots of tread. When I said NO, NO, NO three times the persistent salesmen finally gave up and created the work order to rotate the tires. 30 minutes later, the car was ready, BUT no paperwork describing the work that was done. In past visits I received a summary of the work done indicating the tire pressure in each tire and the amount of tread. Other items such as checking the oil or topping off the window washer would be noted on the summary. When I asked for a summary, the salesperson did not listen and just repeated himself that the "check in" work order had all the information. Of course this is totally BOGUS since the tire pressures and tread wear had NOT YET BEEN MEASURED nor any other services performed. Basically with the virus situation there are now three types of businesses - AB, CD, and F. An AB business cares about it's customers and finds creative, novel, and effective methods to provide excellent customer service while protecting customers and employees from spreading the virus. Stater Brothers rates a B+ (would be an A- except increasing amount of fine-print "bait-and-switch" pricing "must by 4" of an item when I live alone and don't need 4. CD businesses do the minimum possible in terms of customer service. Long waits, depleted stock, cranky employees, high prices, upsells, and mediocre service at best with the virus as a convenient excuse. This America's tire rates a D - which stands for "Don't come to this location if you want good customer service - you won't get it." An F business cares only about profit and nothing about customer service. They use the virus as an excuse and don't even try to find ways of providing customer service. Out-of-date, no-useful-information phone recordings are the norm. Lenscrafters rates an F and provided zero customer service for over three months - even though my glasses were sitting at the store the entire time! read more

Flat tire on the freeway a couple of days ago - never a pleasant experience. Once we got home I started looking into buying a new set of 4 tires because although the existing tires had plenty of tread life left, they were getting old. (You should *usually* replace tires when they get to be 6 to 10 years old depending on the amount of tread left, and these tired were 9 years old. It didn't make sense to just buy one tire to replace the flat tire that got shredded trying to pull over to the shoulder) In any case, even though I am a BIG Costco Fan, we have always purchased our tires from the America's Tire store on the corner of Tyler and Magnolia. I went on line, saw the recommendations from the Americas Tires website, did some comparison shopping and went with America's Tire. Price was competitive and I really liked their free 'flat fix' policy for the couple of times we have had a flat and had to use it. They needed a day to get the tires andI was able to make an appointment for the day after which happened to be a Saturday morning at 9:15 AM. I paid for the tires and scheduled the appointment online and it was nice to get the 5% 'Veteran Discount' they offered. Saturday morning, I left my house at 9 AM, and arrived there at 9:15. A very helpful/courteous assistant manager (thanks Arturo C) checked me in and said it would be about 45 minutes. I opted to just wait although I could have dropped it off and came back later. They were done with the car by 9:40 AM, they pulled it up to the door and I was home by 10. (I should note, on a Saturday morning, they were very busy and it really helped to make the appointment/purchase on line.) Very pleasant experience (I mean who likes buying tires) and Americas Tire did not let me down, I would highly recommend! read more

I purchased new tires from this location a couple of months ago and I got an email to schedule my tire rotation (super helpful reminder). When I purchased the tires I asked them to replace the same type of tire since it's BMW lease and due for return soon. A couple of weeks later I had a BMW lease return pre inspection and they notified me that the car needs to be returned in its original type of tire which according to them was a run flat tire and the current tires in the car were not run flat. So I made an appointment for a rotation and during my visit I asked them verify what tires the car had before they replaced them. The manager went above and beyond and called BMW parts department whom revealed that the car was indeed NOT standard issued with run flats. Thanks to Tim Franco for all his help. They did a tire swap on my car this last week and overall did a pretty good job. Staff were friendly, and they didnt damage my wheels which was a big relief. Would be 5 stars except they left off my valve stem cap on one tire and they replaced one other with a cheap plastic one rather than the nicer metal one it came in with. He didn't explain that one part of my bill was OPTIONAL. He didn't explain how putting different tires on my car would change the performance. (I had to read about that on my receipt.) When we went to get my tire changed they put cheap tires and not good quality tires. Right when we got home the tire they installed became flat. So we came back to get a refund and got my car done at the actual Toyota dealership. The experts told us that the tires weren't aligned and the sensors were changed to a cheaper broken sensor which didn't match the rest of my tire sensors it originally came with. My tire sensors was also installed incorrectly which made my air leak continuously. These people have no idea what they're doing especially if your car is a newer model and have better quality parts. They will exchange your car parts to a cheaper quality parts so you can keep going back there for the "entire lifetime tire warranty". read more

Do yourself a favor and buy a tread depth gauge. I brought in a new car with Michelin tires that came with it. 20k miles on it. Had a nail in one. They repaired it promptly for free. Great so far. Both tech and rep told me my treads have worn to 3 or 4/32nd. New thread was 9.5/32nd inch. They recommended replacement in a few thousand miles (but never mentioned goodwill warranty claims). I asked for the tech's notes that had 4/32nd on them but he refused and said it was an internal record. I went home and checked with a tread depth gauge, and all tires were at 6/32nd. So, no, the tires were not worn to 30% but at about 60%. I suggest, trust but verify.. read more

I had bought 4 rims for my car and was given a key to unlock and change the tire however, I had bought tires from a different location and they took that particular tool. I tried different auto part stores and was unsuccessful. Came back to buy 2 new tires at the magnolia store and spoke with the general manager about my unfortunate incident he was kind enough to replace it free, and said if I lose it again to return and he'll be happy to help me out again.
