Came here with an appointment for a tire flat repair. The shop was pretty busy and even though I had an appointment and there was about an hour left to close. I could tell they didn't feel like dealing with a free flat repair and wanted to prioritize some other customers who were probably ahead of me. They said they would look at it and to check back before 6PM. I went for a walk across the street then came back about 40 minutes later, I see my car and they just put my spare tire on. The worker comes up to me and says they couldn't patch the tire there is damage to the tire and they can't remove it, I said "show me where it's damaged" the guy hesitates and then says oh it's already back under the trunk, so I walk over and open the trunk and lift open and I want him to show me the damage and I can tell it's all BS cuz he hesitates more and I'm just like whatever okay. He tells me I need to replace the tire completely and most likely get all 4 replaced. In my head I know what's going on. The next day I make an appointment at America's Tire on magnolia only a few miles away... and sure enough, they got it patched and replaced and on my way in 30 minutes. Needed to drive from OC to Riverside to LA and of course my tire pressure light came on. I am not familiar with the Riverside area but Yelped the nearest place to check tire pressure and refill them. This one came up and the reviews were so high I felt safe choosing it. For starters it's located on a really nice busy street. Lots of restaurants and a shopping plaza, so it's convenient in location and good for safety (for a woman in the evening). They actually have a free tire pressure inspection and refill that they do WHILE you're still in your car! Double love! After about six minutes of checking and refilling, the gentleman handed me a card that identifies the status of my tires so clearly, shows me where they're at currently and how much longer they have sustainability wise for the brand I have. Also, he did not try to push sales on me (like other places do when they get the opportunity). He encouraged me to just keep an eye out and check pressure monthly for the next 2-3 months and then consider replacement. I appreciated the service so much! Super friendly, engaging and actually wanted to make sure customers are not only satisfied but aware of their car's needs. read more

So after destroying a tire......I quickly came to the decision that I needed to get new tires. I wanted to go somewhere where I knew I could depend on the work, had a warranty and would not be completely ripped off (I mean, lets face it.......this is not a tire shop in Rubidoux sadly). I stumble on in and am standing there for a few minutes while the guy behind the desk is just screwing around. Finally he shouts *be right with you.* Thanks dude, because I was beginning to think that I had stumbled into a private tire show room and needed a secret password to peruse the offerings. Finally when I am beckoned to the desk he asks me what I need. After a quick chat he gives me a quote in which I was horrified as the price was ridiculous. I then asked "is this the best you can do?" He looked down and made this *yeahhhh* noise. So okay, I took him at his word. I like honesty. I ordered the tires and skipped out as they would not be in for a week. Having sour feelings about the whole mess I stop by another tire place on the way to the freeway, it was simply *a whole new worrrrrrrrrrrld* I received the same tires for $10 less, with the same warranty. When I looked at my invoice to call Americas Tires, I noticed that they had gotten my car model wrong, my address wrong as well as my phone number. What the f*ck. The best part was calling to cancel. This is the "go to" tire store. I had purchased two sets of tires over the past eight years. I sold that vehicle and purchased a new Lexus nine months ago. The dealership did a complimentary tire rotation at 5,000 miles and I was due for a second rotation at 10,000 miles. The dealership quoted a price of $64 for that service. I visited America's Tire to see if I was eligible for a rotation as a "customer of record", even though these tires came with the new car. I was told to bring the car in and they will perform the service as no charge. The rotation was promptly done and upon completion, the technician escorted me to my vehicle, parked in the waiting area, door open, ready to go. It reminded me of valet parking. She then reviewed the service that had been done. "Tires rotated, inflated to 33 psi, the spare to 60 psi (donut), locking nut replaced in the trunk", gave me a smile and handed me the keys. I have suspicion she was the person who did the rotation; if so, way to go American. Needless to say, when my new car needs tire replacement, I will return to American. read more

Getting into your car in the morning and realizing your tire is flat is a terrible feeling - but it's definitely nice to have them nearby because they'll repair your tire for free! Sometime last year (whenever water polo season is), I had a tire blowout coming from Downtown direction. I was able to make it to this location right at close and one of the guys was nice enough to stay and put my spare tire on for me (at no charge). I was completely distraught because I was on the way (late) to said water polo game, and blanked out to the point of even remembering there was a spare tire in my car. uh-duh!! I know, personally, I am running out the door of my office when that 5 o'clock whistle blows. The fact that this gentleman stayed was an epic "Wow" experience for this day and age. I wish I could remember his name... When time came to get new tires on that car, I came here and they helped me pick tires that were exactly what I wanted (grippy for handling, but not so soft that I can't out-wear them a year or more past when I should lol) Today, I went in for a tire rotation on a different car. I was able to be in/out in 45 minutes, but needed to be at an appointment in 20, so I opted to come back after my appointment. Upon my return, Eric got my car in/out in a jiffy (under 10 minutes). The person I bought my car from purchased the tires from America's Tire Store, so I know I have the warranty, but did you know?: You can purchase tire warranty from America's Tire Store even if you didn't get your tires there! I'm sure it only pertains to brands they carry, but that is pretty great to know come rain/pothole season. read more

This is one of two locations in Riverside, don't get them confused or you will miss out on some great service. Both are good but this one is just better. The staff is very helpful and because they are a bit hidden by the mall the are not as busy as the location on Tyler (well that or I just pick the good times to go). I had an older car I had received and had been driving but the tires were old and needed replaced. I was on my way here when all 4 blew. I managed to limp around the corner, got checked in behind a motor home. I did not pay a lot for 4 new tires which I apprciated. I came in today to get a flat tire repair after running over a nail the day before, and the service was great! As a teenage girl with little to no knowledge about cars, I came here only because my dad told me that they've done some solid service for him. (So I guess this can be a review on behalf of both of us.) The employees were super helpful and polite, and even though they had a couple other customers in-store, my flat was repaired in around 15 minutes and the car was parked out front and waiting for me. Not only was the repair complimentary (even though I hadn't bought any tires or other services from them), but while fixing my flat, they also checked the pressure in the rest of my tires and blackened them nicely for me. Will be coming back if i need more repairs/replacements for my tires~! read more

I worked in the tire business for 7 years back in the 80's. Their shop was one clean, professional shop and so were the guys who work there. I came here today thinking I'd have to spend about $550 on tires because I'd had flats fixed at the car dealership and my low tire air pressure light was on. So I decided to just replace them. I Paid for them but when they went to put them on, they told me I don't need them yet and didn't charge me for the labor. Honest, professional, and friendly. Nobody I knew in the auto business was like that. More of a "buyer beware" back in the day. They even refused a tip. A fabulous place to go if you don't want to get ripped off. That's truly priceless! I'll definitely be back when I really do need tires. Super impressive! read more

I am hesitant to update my review rather than simply deleting my old 1 star review. Because I told the assistant manager that I would delete that review, and I am a man of my word. (I should clarify that he didn't ask me to delete it either...I just blurted out that I would). But I'm torn between that fact and the fact people deserve to know exactly what went down at this business. So I apologize for not doing what I said I would, but I am just updating this review. So first and foremost, I was compensated for my damaged caps. And this was done BEFORE I said I was going to delete my review. But to get to that point, what I went through is still kind of concerning. The gentleman that I spoke with continued to insist that his shop did nothing wrong, nor did the other shop in northern California. He also said that even if he did compensate me, he could only compensate me for one cap, because the other cap was damaged at another America's Tire. Even though the locations are corporately owned and not franchises. What finally put me over the edge was when the representative directly said even though BOTH caps were damaged at America's Tire, and half a dozen other locations had serviced my car without issue between the two incidents.......those other locations were obviously at fault for having overtightened my caps and they just happened to come off at America's Tire both times. To me that is simply being dishonest, and that is when I asked to talk to the actual location manager. And that is when the assistant manager returned to tell me he could (despite earlier saying he couldn't) compensate me for both damaged caps. I was made whole, and for that I am giving America's Tire 5 stars. But I give 5 stars wearily, given the difficulty in getting there. I don't think most people would have put in the effort that I did, and I don't think most people should NEED to put in this much effort when their vehicle is damaged. read more

They didn't have the ones I wanted at that location so they ordered them and called me a few hours later to let me know they had arrived. If your looking to get new tires and/or wheels(rims) I highly recommend this place! They have great low prices and the customer service is excellent. I walked in and was greeted by john in less than 1 minute of me being there. We walked out to my car for him to get the info he needed and I explained to him how I hydroplaned into a curb two nights ago and I popped only ONE of my tires and was looking to replace the least amount of tires possible. I expected to have to change all 4 because I knew I was due for new tires but I just wanted to see if he would desperately try to MAKE a sale like every other auto/tire place with their services. He measured the tread on all 3 of my tires because the 4th was my spare donut and showdown me on his measuring tool they were all close, if not in, the danger zone to being bald. That way I knew he was being genuine and not just trying to make a sale on new tires when I didn't need them. On the way back inside he offered me some tips to rotate my tires every 75k miles to reduce the wear on them and even set up an email reminder so I'd know the next time I should rotate them. When it came time to pay I lucked up and happen to see and chat with an old friend who happen to work there and got an awesome discount. I payed the same amount (WITH THE LIFETIME WARRANTY) for top of the line tires as I would have for the standard low class tires. I was really happy about that. I recommend making an appt be4 you go in because they quote about 30 minute service if you have one. All and all I really enjoyed my experience there and recommend to everyone. read more

I did some research and yelp said that this place did tire air pressure checks/maintenance for free. So I came here. Who doesn't love free? I went inside and had to wait in line because I didn't know what else to do. After a few minutes, a staff member told me to just pull up in the back and the next time I needed to get my tire air pressure fixed -- no need to go inside! When I pulled up to the back, a staff member who just got out of lunch/his car, helped me out. He was very nice and friendly and helped me very quickly. Everyone there is very very nice! This was by far the WORST experience I have ever had at an America's Tire location. I called the Magnolia location which told me they had the tires that I wanted, however, they could not sell them to me because they have been on hold for someone since July 13th, so well over two weeks. But they inform me that the Merrill location has four of the tires that I want. They give me the Merrill location number and I call, the phone rings and rings and rings, after 5 minutes of ringing and listening to the prerecorded message I hang up. I wait 15 minutes and then give another call. I wind up speaking to Andrew, very pleasant and nice. He then tells me he has the tires and asks for my information and asks if I would like him to pull the tires and hold them for me. He even says he will see if he can assist with a $70 rebate to help with the price. Sounds great. Three hours pass by as I got caught up with work, I drive down the Merrill location and when I arrive I'm greeted by Freddy. He tells me Andrew doesn't work there anymore. I tell him I just spoke with him this morning. He then tells me oh, the other Andrew? How do I know you have more than one. He then tells me he left for the day and how he could help me. I go through the spell and he says yes, I remember that phone call. Andrew put the tires for you on hold, but we can't honor the $70. But for the inconvenience and seeing he is above Andrew (his words not mine) he can offer a $50 rebate. I tell them thats not ideal and I believe this is a bait and switch but whatever, go ahead and put the four tires on. I get a ride back to work and an hour later I receive a phone call that there is a problem and to please return the call. I return the call and speak with Freddy and then am informed that their computer said there were four tires but they only have three and that they never pulled the tires earlier to confirm. So I have three options. 1. I can pick up the car and take it to the Magnolia location and they can install one tire, mind you this is one of those tires that they wouldn't sell me initially when I called. 2. They can order the fourth tire and it will be 3-5 days. 3. They can put a larger tire on the car of which they have confirmed they have in stock if I want to stick with Continental tires. 4. I can put a lesser brand tire on the car. As none of these options were ideal, I asked Freddy why Andrew didn't check the tires when he said he would put them on hold in the three hours preceding my arrival. He didn't have an answer and was apologetic. As I had a meeting to attend, I inform Freddy that I would call him back in fifteen minutes. I call back and Freddy is unavailable now I'm speaking with Eric. I tell Eric, that I will be on my way to pick up the car and to just leave the original tires on the car and I will take it to the dealer to get the tires. Eric then tells me that would be a waste of my time. I tell him I don't see how as I'm merely picking up my vehicle and taking it to another location, and my time has already been wasted with the shenanigans between calls and the two locations, etc. Eric then informs me that they have already installed three tires on the car. I asked why he would do that if they didn't have all the tires. One would think prior to performing the work they would call and say hey what would you like to do and give me the options prior, but nope they installed three new tires. His reasoning was, well we took the best of the old four tires and put it on the car. We figured you could just come back when it was convenient. Well its not which is why I am attempting to get everything on the day I was. I told him I wanted my car put back to the way it was as I would not be riding around on three new tires and one old one. Eric then became irritated telling me that It would be faster for him to go and pick up the tire from the Magnolia location and then install it rather than him having to have the tires dismounted and have my old ones put back on. He then tells me that he doesn't understand why I don't get that is was a mistake and pretty much insinuates why I can't just deal with it. He tries rudely explaining that it is a rare occurrence. I tell Eric that despite how rare of an occurrence, it did occur and I'm being inconvenienced. I need tires and its hot and I would prefer to be safe and I want a specific tire. I researched the tire, their ratings, etc. I shouldn't have to choose another brand because of your error. I again asked why this wasn't caught when I called first thing in the morning. Eric's response was they don't have time to physically check to see if the tires that people are calling about are physically in stock, that its a waste of their time. But if you know you have a rare occurrence of the computer not being correct then why wouldn't you confirm before having people come down. Eric was rude, not very understanding to the situation and was forceful and hung up read more

I'd bought tires from here 4 years ago and had good service back then. Since then I've had to go back several times due to nails or screws in the tires and they've always been fast at repairing it. I just bought a new set of tires from them and they had it installed within 20 minutes. The staff are friendly and professional and very helpful with picking out tires. I needed a slow leak checked. As I drove in I saw just one car in the bays (they have 5 or 6 bays) so I assumed i could get help quick. Spanish music was blaring from the work area and a number of workers milling around. I went inside and although there were multiple customer service stations there was only one employee there to help customers. There was one person in line in front of me but I stood there over 10 minutes and the employee never even acknowledged our presence. Rather he was on the phone the entire time helping a customer with tires and the other phones were ringing constantly. After 10 minutes I just left. Nobody helping inside and a bunch of employees in the bay but only one car getting serviced as far as I could tell. This place obviously doesn't give a s#it about helping customers. I went there over the summer to get air in my tires. One of the few places that do not charge. After work yesterday, my dash showed I needed air in on of my tires, so I went back and they found a nail in my back tire. They repaired it at no charge and I was out the door in 20 minutes. The entire staff there is very nice and helpful. We ordered tires from them for my husband's truck earlier this year, and also for my mother's car at another America's Tire location. Out of all the times I've been here there's been only one instance where it took longer than expected and something went not as planned. Other than that everything has been top notch.
