My experience at Ramona Tire was terrible. I found a "deal" on their website for tires for my son's Toyota Tacoma. Ramona Tire's website, which works very efficiently, quoted my out the door price at $406 and change. The "deal" was buy 2 get 2 tires "free". That was on a Sunday evening. I called Tuesday, confirmed the tires I wanted, the price quoted, and made the soonest available appointment for 3pm the next day (Wednesday). Upon arrival, I was shocked to be quoted an initial price of $470. After I called bullshit on the $64 increase from the original quote, they said it would be $443. To add insult to injury, they aggressively tried to upsell me on a $129 alignment service--something they said was "standard" even though he had driven on brand new snow tires for the last six months in Salt Lake City and there was zero evidence of uneven wear. Then I was told it would be about 3 hours (why does one make an appointment when they obviously overbook?). So I had to call my wife to drive 15 minutes and pick me up. Not the end of the world, at least I was getting the job done, still at a pretty fair price. The real disaster unfolded when I returned at 6pm (they close at 6). Not only had they not started on my truck, but I was also left waiting for another agonizing hour. A little after 7pm, the gentleman running the shop casually informed me that they didn't have the tires in stock! He said the inventory on the computer was incorrect. He did say he was sorry, but there was no attempt to make it right (maybe a tire of similar or better quality at the same price- something any reputable shop would have offered). This level of incompetence and utter disregard for a customer's time is beyond unacceptable. I left the shop empty-handed, having wasted several precious hours of my day. This Ramona Tire Shop epitomizes the word inept, and I strongly urge everyone to steer clear of this poorly managed establishment. If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid Ramona Tire Shop at all costs! read more

Customer Service ZERO Rating. I was Just Ignored and I left after 10min. I have been watching this location since opened and their bays are NEVER full, very little business. Now I know why! Today, I just came from Bud's Tire up the street and they are too busy to get to me today for an alignment. So I decided try to see if Ramona could do it at a reasonable price. Alignment bay open, only working on 2 cars, and open to 5pm - thought I was in luck. NOT! The guy at the counter was on the phone in a long conversation so I sat down to wait until he was done. When he got off the phone he disappeared into the shop, then he came back and immediately made another call put his finger up for me to wait and walked away again! Been here a couple times always takes around 1.5 hours for an oil change. This time i was quoted 1 - 1.5 hrs ended up taking 2.5 hrs. Watched as they completed the oil change and pulled a truck behind my car to start working on. Watched them walk passed my car for 30 mins. It wasn't until I came to the front desk to check that they actually checked on it and was told "they just finished". Dont come here. Choice Tires around the street is much better and affordable. read more

I was shopping for wheels and tires for my truck and after getting the run around calling other local shops I thought I would try Ramona tire. I spoke with Chip and he was very helpful and trying to give me a quote. He took down my information and within a couple hours had called me back with pricing and availability. Since the experience with him was much better than the other shops I had dealt with, I decided to move forward with the purchase at Ramona Tire. He ordered the wheels and tires and we scheduled the installation for Saturday. I came in as soon as they opened and even though there was a line out the door, Chip processed my information promptly and they proceeded with the install right away. Within a couple hours my truck was ready and Chip called me to let me know. I came down And the wheels and tires look great! The whole process was pretty easy and Chip and his team were a pleasure to deal with. You could tell that they took pride in their work and their ability to service their customers. Other places could take some cues from them regarding customer service. So bottom line if you're looking for a no hassle, customer service oriented tire shop that will do what they say they're going to do this is your place! read more

However, it sure came at a price (a high one). The "new" tire was full of dirt that I had to ask/question if it was a new tire? Told the customer service representatives this, his response "I can get a towel and clean it if you want" how about you do that before you present that work you preformed to a client? For 112 yes I expect my brand new tire to be clean, not look like someone took it over roading. Now this isn't my first flat tire. Therefore, kind of knew what to expect. Horrible service just finished a 16 hour shift at the hospital and went there at 530pm to just get my tire patched on my new Porsche Taycan and they turned me away saying they were closed. When on the door it's say they close at 6pm. I went down the street to Buds tire who closes at 530 but patched my tire without hesitating at 545. Took my boyfriends BMW to get a tire replacement and they cut the sensor of the tires off. Right when we got into the vehicle it gave us many alerts and instead of going back we drove to LA. His uncle owns a mechanic shop and we thought multiple things were wrong with the vehicle but it turned out they just cut the sensor that detects brake pad level and brake fluid. So not only did we have to repair that, we also had to reset the cars functions because there was nothing wrong. Typically places do this as a money grab. Be aware and if something is automatically different with your vehicle. Let them know because this is not okay. read more

On August 4, 2019, Dejay K. from San Bernardino, CA. posted this review: "Okay for tires but beware of using them for anything else! They are quick to charge for a diagnostic test and then come back with no results." This is EXACTLY my experience. On February 19, 2022, I took my vehicle to a private mechanic for an oil change. This particular mechanic had changed the oil in my vehicle since 2016, when the vehicle was purchased. I asked him to inspect for a slow leak coming from the rear differential area. The mechanic identified and showed me the vehicle had a leak coming from the pinion seal where the driveshaft connects to the differential. He recommended bringing the vehicle to the dealership. I reviewed my extended warranty purchased through CarMax MaxCare. Fortunately, the vehicle is still under warranty. I located this Ramona Tire location which honors MaxCare warranties. I brought the vehicle to this location and explained the problem. Along with fixing the leaking pinion seal, I asked them to diagnose the driver's side passenger door handle, which no longer allowed the door to open. The associate explained they would run a "diagnostic test" to identify any problems. I asked how the process worked utilizing the MaxCare warranty to cover the cost of the repairs. He explained they would write an estimate to fix the repairs. I would contact MaxCare, provide them with the location of the business, and MaxCare would contact them and authorize the repairs. From my experience in the automotive industry, automotive shops front the cost of labor/parts and are reimbursed later by the warranty company. For this reason, they dislike these situations because they don't get paid right away. The manager, I believe his name was Chip, was quick to inform me I would still be responsible for the "diagnostic test" cost, which runs $99.99. Approximately twenty minutes later, I receive a call from the associate saying the oil drain plug was loose and the incorrect oil filter was used. I asked if they identified a leak coming from the pinion seal. The associate informed me there was no leak coming from the pinion seal, only from the oil filter and oil drain plug. Next, I asked if they diagnosed the driver's side passenger door problem. The associate told me, "I quickly depressed the unlock button twice on the key fob and the door had no problems opening." This is where my experience in the automotive industry came into play and I realized the store had no desire to correct the problems, only to make a quick sale. I expressed my concerns to the associate who told me I'd be responsible for the oil change and the diagnostic test (a total of approximately $217.35). It is a coincidence that the vehicle has had the oil changed by the same mechanic since 2016 and almost six years later is the first time there has ever been a leak. Additionally, the driver's side rear door hasn't been working for over a year and just now started working when the associate quickly depressed the unlock button twice. Again, this is all too coincidental. The associate must have relayed our conversation to Chip the manager who knew I was onto their unethical business practices. Chip calls and tells me after further inspection a leak was detected where the driveshaft connects to the differential (pinion seal), confirming the problem I initially told them about. Chip tells me he will call MaxCare to request approval for the repair to be covered under warranty. The original associate told me I would contact MaxCare, not the business. When I brought this up to Chip he told me the associate was "not familiar with how MaxCare requests were processed." I told Chip I didn't want to do business with unethical people. Am I supposed to believe that Chip would've called MaxCare to request authorization for these repairs to be made? During their initial diagnostic test they didn't locate a leaking pinion seal. Still, when I started to offer resistance magically, they confirmed the problem I made them aware of from the get-go? This is 2022 and I refuse to do business with unethical people. Times are rough during the pandemic, business is slow, and your overall ticket number for the day is down, but that does not give you an excuse to use unethical business practices to drive sales. I was not charged for the diagnostic test but wound up paying $117.35 for a full synthetic oil change that I can guarantee was not needed. I am confident that the vehicle was not leaking oil from the drain plug or filter; this was just a crutch they used to make a sale off of me. Had I not been aware of their practices, they would have made $200.00+ on these two services instead of completing the repairs needed and waiting to be reimbursed. Once they realized I caught onto their games, they had to stick to their story and charge me the cost of the oil change. AVOID THIS BUSINESS! read more

Very unprofessional. Quoted me $35 for mount and balance on one tire so I made an appointment, told them the tire size and truck and when I get there I only needed a mount no balance. The man working ask to see truck so I walked out there and explained I only need the new tire mounted in my new wheel and he said it would $40 with no balance. While doing an oil change the mechanics are closely examining your vehicle and will let you know if there are any parts that are in need of replacement and will alert you to any potential problems that may occur down the road. They have a credit company that they work with so if you're short on cash, you can obtain on the spot financing. The lobby is very clean and they have complementary coffee and water. They often get very busy so the earlier you get there the better. Good honest and dependable service keeps me coming back. Tires of all sizes for all makes and models of vehicles. As as I mentioned earlier, not just tires, but full service for your car or truck. Come see them before it's too late and you become stranded on the road. read more

When I arrived , the guy was helping a couple at the counter and never even looked up at me or the other person that came in after me. I waited in line for about 15 minutes only to be ignored the whole time I was there. After the guy finished with the couple he was helping, he just walked off without even acknowledging me. Drove up this morning to get a tire repair. Didn't look that busy for a Saturday. There were no nearby parking spots & I had to park close to the front near a coned off area. One customer was picking up his truck & was immediately asked to move it before even asking what I needed looked at. Honestly didn't get that vibe that they are wanting to take my VW in but after I moved it they accommodated two other drivers who wanted tires checks. So F that not waiting around for a Whatevs type of manager. These guys are AMAZING. I usually go to the Redlands store, but my incident was in Riverside. I had a little accident and ruined 3 tires that aren't even 6 months old, I had road hazard warranty and because this was a freak of nature incident they were able to take care of me. I want to greatly acknowledge Corey the DM, Tom from this shop and Johnny from my local shop, for them working with me. They worked so hard to make sure that the customer was being taken care of. I wouldn't go here for anything other than basic service like a tire rotation or oil change. I brought my car to Ramona Tire in Orangecrest back in 2016 and spent hundreds of dollars for a new alternator and battery. Less than a year later, my alternator goes out on me while driving on the freeway about 75 miles away, leaving me stranded on the side of the freeway. I had to get my car towed to another shop and spend hundreds of dollars again for a new alternator and battery. Ramona's warranty only covers you if you either take it back to Ramona, or take it to a Firestone Auto Care facility with Ramona's approval beforehand. I have two small children. Had they been in the car with me when my alternator blew out on the freeway, which Ramona replaced just months earlier, it would have been a very, very bad situation for my kids, both of whom require car seats. Getting major service at Ramona Tire just isn't worth the risk. read more

Came here for my Porsche to get the tires checked to see if there was a leak or nail or anything. Sure enough I had a nail. They fixed it up free of charge. They made sure all of the other tires too has no leaks and put the right amount of air in them. The service is quick and done in a reasonable amount of time.
