We enjoyed the pool table and the relaxing feel of the cabin. I'm so happy we decided on this particular cabin. Our next visit we'll be staying at Family Memories. Mike and Chrissy were great hosts and checked in with us a couple times to ensure we were happy with everything and had no problems. Don't hesitate to book one of their properties. And to add…read moreinsult to injury, the guy working the office berated me for complaining about the bugs- saying it should be expected in a cabin. He also argued that they were "bat bugs." Only an entomologist can tell the difference between these related pests though, and guess what- they are both blood-sucking parasites that hide in beds! Obviously the owners place profit over safety and cleanliness. Renters beware.

If you live in a flat state like I do and are not used to driving on mountain roads, you may want to ensure you arrive before dark. We needed a place for family from both Chicago and Tampa, FL to meet and this was the perfect spot. Once we arrived, it was a nice surprise to find this spacious, clean and comfortable home on the side of a cliff. From the front driveway, the home appears smaller. But once you enter, you are greeted by a beautiful vaulted ceiling, well kept hardwood floors and inviting, open spaces. The 3 bathrooms were all very nicely decorated and we love the large, updated showers. The bear decor throughout the house we stayed in is so charming and the kitchen is very well stocked. It was a treat having a hot tub to sit in after a long day of hiking. We also appreciated the pet friendly accommodations. We've rented VRBO houses before and always end up bringing our own hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper. But the host provided plenty of these items for our entire 3 night stay. We had a gracious host and he was a great communicator. Sadly, we did not see any bears during our stay but witnessed amazing views of the city lights, moon, stars and sunrise from the decks. The swing on the porch, pool table, ice maker and washer dryer are added bonuses too. We highly recommend this area, if you can drive on the challenging mountain curves, Great Gatlinburg getaway!

Great explanation and introduction to the bikes (I had never ridden an ebike before so didn't know what to expect), and nice area to practice in before going out on the tour. Bike transportation was provided into the park, along with a helmet and basket if wanted. Halfway through the tour, a snack and water bottle were provided. The equipment was in excellent condition and the Ebikes were so fun to ride! Almost felt guilty passing people who were walking their bikes up the hills (almost ) Highly recommend if you're going through the Smokies!
