I did not lie; aside from the 2020 COVID-lockdown months, I've shopped at the mini-Kroger on Court Street weekly since its grand opening. Can I find the perfect leg of lamb there? No. It's not Findlay Market nor Is it THE BIG SHOP store. However, it is perfect for picking up coffee, milk, seltzer, and salad supplies for the office, and filling in the gaps in the home cubbard. Impressive produce department, cheese selection , and baked goods. Solid selection of dry goods. Limited meat department, whose pre-portioned and seasoned offerings may appeal to millennials. (Got lamb? See above.) Convenient grab-n-go lunch assortment of deli meat and cheese, pre-made meals in the form of salads, sandwiches, and sushi.

It's not the first time I had bad experience with the Kroger's customer service desk. I bought a…read morebottle of Kroger brand heavy cream this Monday evening. I spent hours and made a birthday cake with the cream for my husband that evening and then found out the heavy cream had bitter taste and ruined the whole cake and the special family night! I went to return the heavy cream, explained the issue and suggested them to check the shelf to make sure nobody else will experience the same issue. Obviously they did not care, and did not apologize... They always had bad response for returns even it was absolutely not the customer's fault! Do customer deserve more than just getting the several bucks' refund? What about all the time and efforts and more caused by your bad products? Not a sorry, not a good face...?
