    The café area - underrated!
    Alexander P.

I think nothing has changed at this location since it was built in the 1980's and that's kind of great: there are brass fixtures, pink neon lights, a section that sells paperback romance novels ... it's quirky but charming. Most of all, I love the café. I walk through Eden Park from Walnut Hills and having a $1.5 coffee here, at the summit of Mt. Adams, is a rewarding goal. UDF's coffee and ice cream is affordable and their café is a very underrated area to relax, sit and enjoy.

There are UDFs all over the city of Cincinnati, but this location is by far my favorite. Perhaps it is because it is in the most posh neighborhood in Cincinnati! UDF is probably one of the only places where you can get a tank of gas, get some cigarettes and beer, and maybe an ice cream cone if you're in the mood! It truly is a novelty. However, this location doesn't have any gas pumps so you'll have to settle for the other fun activities. I enjoy this location more than others for many reasons. The first is their patio is so enjoyable to sit and eat ice cream. It's in such a pretty location and is well shaded by near-by trees. The inside of the store is very well laid out. They have a great magazine selection here. I've also seen more fresh fruits and lunch options at this location than any other! If you haven't been to a UDF yet, it's an experience that can't be missed!

Two 2-dip cups...one for each hand! The left is Rocky Road & Carmel Cone Crunch...the right Coffee Toffee & Carmel Cone Crunch!

This is the only ice cream spot I know of in Mt. Adams. The employees here are always nice.

Our Server Ben, was personable, very knowledgeable of the menu, and fun to interact with throughout dinner. The restaurant is sophisticated, dimly lit, offering live music in the bar area that could be heard throughout the room. Floor to ceiling windows offered a stunning view of the Ohio River and Cincinnati skyline. This is a must try if you're looking to have a different steakhouse dining experience as MRBL offers sushi and seafood too. Disappointed that they don't offer any soup i.e., a lobster bisque on the menu. And to mention the mussels were less than desirable, small in size for the price and of a better buy at other steakhouses locally. Most sides are shareable and the sushi ordered by a few at our table paired well with other menu items. Highly recommend... Dessert: Lemon cake, fried ice cream, and blueberry cheesecake. Sides: Asian green beans, potato volcano, crispy brussles sprouts, and lobster mac-n-cheese. Steaks: 14oz ribeye, bone-in pork chop, angry dragon roll, lobster sun-kissed roll, and the MRLB Tomahawk. Drinks: Troy's Old Fashioned, Suntory Sazerac, and Fuji Dew Drop Enjoy!

Service was slow and lacked the fine dining attention that should accompany such prices. They put the wrong plates in front of us. We had to ask for menus several times. They food was ok at best. Steaks were cold and tough. They also had no sear and had a "boiled" texture. Sides were ok. Pass on dessert. When it was time to pay they charged 3 percent for a credit card fee without telling us ahead of time.

The inside of the shop is interesting, with knickknacks and things to look at in every corner- kids would love it for this reason! I immediately noticed that there were no prices on the menu... there were cups displayed on the counter with small/medium/large pricing but it wasn't clear what these cups were for- it looked like shakes. It was very off-putting for me to not know the prices of what I'm ordering, especially with more specialty items like cookie dough or coffee/ice cream creations where I can't predict a standard price. Second, there was only one dairy-free option... a cookies and cream ice cream. While it was tasty, it was my only option and that never feels great to order something because you have to. It also didn't have a description or any info available so I was left wondering what made it nondairy... almond? Coconut? Oil? Of course at a creamy whip type place I'm not going to expect the entire menu to accommodate me, but it's nice when there are at least a couple other options- especially with coffee, it would be easy to have a nondairy milk available or a sorbet/dole whip since they already carry many flavors. I tried a tiny bite of my husband's edible cookie dough and it was delicious! Seemed really sweet though- he could barely finish his side by side because it was so sugary--a good problem to have :)) I think I would go back if I had friends with me or happened to be in the area for Blink or the pool or something, but otherwise I would probably choose somewhere else where I have more options s and I know what I'm going to spend.

From the moment you walk up, you can feel the playful, creative vibe. The flavors are fun and unexpected, yet somehow still feel like the most natural, comforting treat you could imagine. It's that perfect balance of healthy yet indulgent--you don't feel guilty enjoying it, but it's still every bit as satisfying as the most decadent dessert. The staff is warm, welcoming, and truly neighborly--they make you feel like part of the community as soon as you step up to the counter. I love that it's not just soft serve, it's an experience: colorful, creative toppings, clever flavor combos, and a sense of joy in every swirl. Kosmic manages to be fun, delicious, and unique all at once. Whether you're looking for a quick pick-me-up, a family outing, or a spot to bring friends, this is the kind of place that makes you smile long after you've finished your cone. Super cute little walkup window in Columbia Tusculum with great neighborhood vibes. It's run by some very young teens who could perhaps benefit from just a little more direction. The menu and pricing appeared to be whatever the kids decided to charge each person for. Free cotton candy for the kid in front of us. No charge for sprinkles, unless you get it in a bowl? It fluctuated depending on the customer. Additionally, some rude dogwalkers came up and cut the line to get "pup-cones" for free for their dogs before the five people in front of them got their paid for items. Otherwise... the soft serve tasted great and it was a fun surprise to add-on to our evening walk. My kid enjoyed her soft serve over cotton candy, so that's all that really mattered. ;)
