I made another appointment with a local car repair shop and was charged 110 $ install of the sensor and was told that my front and rear brakes were fine. So beware of this scammer.

I left a message on the weekend and got a call at 8am on Monday to make an appointment. Very responsive and easy to deal with on the phone. We had a brief discussion about my brakes. I told him it was the first brake job I had gotten on this vehicle. It barely had 40k miles. I was expecting brake pads all around. Maybe a few hundred dollars max. When I showed up to pick up my car, they dropped a bill for $1000 dollars in front of me and told me my rear brakes were seized (flat out lie) and that I needed new rotors all the way around. They went ahead and did it without ever calling me. I was furious. I'm 100% certain my rotors were just fine. I just needed new pads and the rotors turned. Then after I left I checked my credit card. They charged me 2 separate times. One for the bill they gave me at $943.23 and then a second charge for $503.23. I was beside myself angry when I left there before even discovering the second charge for over $500 so as you can imagine, my blood pressure was through the roof. Luckily I used a credit card and not a debit card so I can dispute the second charge. I'll never understand why these mechanics pull stuff like this. Why would you do this to a customer? This is flat out theft and stealing money from people. Update 11/26/22 4 days after picking car up from them. I just checked my credit card statement. They credited my account $ 943.23. I was dreading having to go back and forth with them to get this fixed so this was a huge relief.

Talk about a terrible company to deal with!…read more Here is our nightmare in dealing with Light Speed: My boyfriend's car had two flat tires and was supposed to be towed from our apartment to the local Hyundai dealership for repairs. Over 6+ hours after the car was towed we still had not heard from the dealership or the towing company. We called the dealership to check in and they said that they did not receive our car. Um what? We then called Light Speed to inquire about where the car was. A snippy receptionist informed us that the car was still on the back of the tow truck and that the tow truck had "broken down somewhere." Concerned that nobody at the tow company thought this was information we as a client should know, we asked for the location of our vehicle. The receptionist said she didn't know but that we could call the tow truck driver (to which my boyfriend remarked "Isn't that your job"). CLICK! Yes, the receptionist HUNG UP ON US! Sadly, it doesn't end there. Not even five minutes after we were hung up on, the manager at Light Speed called us back to verbally assault my boyfriend claiming that he "cussed out his receptionist." Both of us were in complete shock that this man had the audacity to accuse a CUSTOMER of harassing his receptionist. The manager also went on to say "I do not care about your $20k car when my $80k truck is broken down." Concerned for the wellbeing of our car we called back Hyundai Assistance to explain our situation and urge them not to do business with Light Speed. Hyundai sent out a different towing company and within an hour our car was safely at the Hyundai dealership. Absolutely unreal. I wish there were an island somewhere where we could put scumbags like this. Oh, and the receptionist needs a swift kick in the tush to sort out that attitude problem of hers. I live in Boston but my Volvo guru here in Newbury recommended Coastal Collision to have some…read morecosmetic work done including installation of front OEM winglets (already paint matched) as part of the S60R's sport kit, repair of a lower trim piece that was a casualty of opening and scraping on a curb and fixing some clips on the front and rear bumper covers. I spoke with Tony on a Friday and he was able to fit me in on a Wednesday of the following week (Memorial Day weekend) and the car was completed early Thursday morning. Tony was extremely knowledgable going over each component and the steps they would take to install/repair while keeping my bottom line in mind. Tony even dissuaded me from respraying the front bumper cover (didn't need it anyway since the winglets would cover the small rock chips and the labor cost to dismantle and reinstall would be high) as well as not going the route of replacing/painting a totally new trim piece. I am ridiculously meticulous with my car and Coastal truly exceeded all my expectations especially on their workmanship, professionalism, communication and overall cost. I expected the job to be a lot more $$ for what they accomplished - the price was lower than the estimate. Tony is a straight shooter and his honesty and transparency is refreshing. I did not have any paint work or blending done but in my mind, I would not hesitate at all to return to Coastal for any of my vehicle's bodywork/painting or custom installation needs.
