It was a night out with friends.. a large group! The Sunday price between 6-10 pm was very reasonable! Enjoyed a pitcher of brew and food. I wouldn't say the food was exceptional. It was typical bowling alley food, but the kiddos loved it and that's all that mattered to me. I like that the drinks were free refills (non-alcoholic). Friends ordered the pizza and that looked really good. I don't know how it tasted because I didn't have any. The game room area was a bonus for the kids. I've been coming to AMF for about 10 years now. Today, I went bowling with a friend of mine as we both enjoy bowling. The lanes were not oiled at all. After the multi-million dollar renovations I have noticed that the lane quality has gone down and the price of bowling has gone up. I only bowl once or twice a month now and I've decided that AMF is not worth my time or money anymore. Casual bowlers don't notice oil on the lane but people who bowl do. read more

It's been many years since I've visited strike 'n spare and it's a lot nicer from what I remember. We recently visited for a birthday party and had a great time. The inside is clean and expansive. The lighting was just right and the music was on point. The kids enjoyed the pizza and drinks. I forgot how much I like bowling! All staff were very helpful and friendly. A couple recommendations: make hand sanitizer available and ensure the air conditioning is set an appropriate temperature, it was rather warm. We've all had our fair share of experiences with unsavory bowling alleys, this place is definitely on the nicer end. I'd return and recommend. Can't wait to bring my kids back! read more

Bar opened a tab for my friend & KEPT her card then tried to say she didn't have a tab and threaten to call the police on her. Bartender was extremely rude and nasty. She started aggressively serving after she realized she was WRONG about the tab situation. (Didn't apologize either) Sodas were disgusting and watery. And she STILL bitched about her tip. Visited these lanes during an international Knights of Columbus bowling tournament. This is a fairly large bowling center with 72 lanes. The lanes are very well cared for and the place is clean. There is a small snack bar and they have a hot grill too. There is a pro shop towards the end of the lanes. The people working here are very nice and accommodating. It was a pleasant experience and the tournament was a great success . Kudos to this venue! read more

Charged $196 for 2 people. This price was not including drinks/ food., we enjoyed roughly 2.5 hours of bowling, and get robbed with this bill. If we are getting down to the math, 2 people, 6 hours of bowling (6 games played total). 30 x 6 = $180 for just games played. $30 a game? That's insane and I was better off just being robbed at this point. 6 x 2 = $12 for shoe rental. We had fun, but not $196 worth of fun! Please do not give them anymore money. When we questioned the bill when checking out, the girl at the front counter gave tons of attitude and was displeased being made to help us as the line was out the door. She originally stated that we had to wait in the check-in line to also check out, we are talking about 100 people deep so they can collect more money as she was messing with shoes. Decent place. Very old furniture and carpeting. Makes the place look ruin down. They have 72 lanes and it looks like they take care of the lanes well. I would think this is a good house for league play. The guy monitoring the concession area was not so friendly. Not the people person you want there dealing with customers. My daughter put bowling on their summer to do list. We went to this alley and they had fun. There weren't many people there and we got to bowl in the dark with the special lights. There are ball ramps to help those who need and bumpers are available. The alley offers leagues, late night rock and bowl, Tuesday specials and college student discounts. The staff was not attentive. Went to all you can bowl on 1/6/23 it was a miserable experience we called and asked when we could get in for unlimited bowling and we were told league was ending and we could get in soon so we arrived around 10 we did not get a lane until 11:05pm we understood there was a waiting list and we were patient however they had bussed and cleaned lanes to the point there was no less than 40 open lanes. The parking lot is smaller than the bowling alley itself. This is one of the biggest bowling alleys I have ever seen. They have lanes on both the right and left side. There are also a few arcade games. They offer lots of food options like burgers, pretzels, beer and flatbread. The game prices are based on number of games and the hour you come. The earlier, the cheaper. We came around 6 PM and it was less than $5/game. Getting shoes is another extra rental cost. My shoes were really new and comfortable. You grab your own bowling balls off of the shelf. There were plenty of options to choose from. They could benefit from having hand sanitizers laying around different areas. I came on a Tuesday night for date night and thought it was pretty crowded. The lanes seemed well cared for. There weren't any fancy lights or music inside the way some of the newer trendier bowling alleys are. I don't think they have any billiards. They had a few claw machines. read more

His place is huge, it has more than seventy lanes for bowling. I went in on a Saturday afternoon with the kids expecting to do just regular bowling, but the had glow bowl going on. I didn't like that I had to give them a credit card to our in file and then pay cash it on a card at the end. Our bumpers went down at one point and there was no one to be found to help us. I wanted a drink from the bar and the guy who did our bumpers said he could only do beer and to ask the female employee, however I was watching for her for almost 15 minutes before our bumpers went down and another ten after that. I was impressed by the size of the place, but everything else left me underwhelmed. read more

We went to their New Years party (package) and had a great time in 2017. The party package included children's buffet (chicken tenders, french fries, cheese pizza), all the soda you can drink, 2 hours of bowling, shoes, party favors and hats, sparkling cider (for children) and champagne for the adults and a "countdown" celebration. So this year (according to their website) they're offering the same package! Nine of us go. We try to get tickets and pay online but it isn't going through. Okay, no biggie we can purchase package at lanes. Once there the truth comes out.... Package is same price as last years (no problem). However we are told: 1. It's now NOT a buffet (they tried it last year and went through too much food).. it's now 2 chicken tenders, one slice of pizza, small order of french fries and all the soda you can drink. 2. 2 games of bowling and shoes 3. There is no countdown celebration 4. There are no party favors or party hats 5. There is no sparkling cider for the kids 6. There is no champagne for the adults 7. Price is still the same This is false advertising! There is also an "event fee". Manager says there's nothing he can do. So, we call corporate. After several calls and a few hang-ups, quite a few transfers and talking to several different people and the last time being placed on hold over 20 minutes WE LEFT. Disgraceful... illegal (maybe), bait and switch (most definitely), absolutely awful for a business to advertise a party package and once you get there it's not at all what's advertised and NO ONE CARES. Will be reporting to the proper authorities in NY State and the BBB. read more

I am giving this a 3 star because the food concession staff do a phenomenal job at accommodating customers. The food is moderately expensive but it is expected at bowling alleys. But the cooking staff make it worth it with their kind demeanor, quick service, enthusiastic attitude to help, and they will even deliver the food to your bowling lane so you don't have to wait. Now for the rest, the carpet is not so clean, makes you feel a little icky knowing you have to walk on it. The staff at the shoe desk had a turn over a few months ago and they aren't as pleasant as the former staff. They seem to ignore you a bit more and I found myself waiting at the counter for long periods of time for shoes or to pay. Then when I was helped, it felt as though I was being a bother to them. I go bowling every week with a small group of people but with these situations happening, my group has now started bowling elsewhere. My only regret is leaving the awesome concession staff! read more

We came here on a Saturday night with friends and our kids. We wanted two lanes, one for the kids so that we could put the bumpers up, but it was so busy that we couldn't get two lanes next to each other. They aren't that sophisticated and bumpers either stay up or down the entire game, instead of at newer places where they go up or down per bowler. There were 6 of us total, and there isn't much seating, many of us were standing around most of the time. It is a large location with over 50 lanes and plenty of space for additional seating, would be nice if they added more chairs. This location is also located in a very sketchy area and the smell of weed was prevalent inside and outside the building. read more

Service is very poor... came in to bowl for a couple hours and spent about 20-30 minutes just waiting for the bartender to acknowledge that I exist. To top it off when we got our food it was the most expensive plate of bland tortilla chips I have ever seen. We went here to get our balls for the up coming season and to be honest...we had no idea what to look for in a ball besides that if it fits my fingers. The gentlemen took the time to explain all aspects of the bowling ball and everything that goes into the science of bowling. I was quite impressed and amazed about the aspects of the inner workings of a ball. Anyways...we were able to pick a ball based on our needs and his recommendations and had it drilled for us on the spot. When we were done...we stayed and bowled for a couple of hours with our new balls and the total experience was excellent. I would totally recommend this to anyone. read more

Had the grandkids stay with us last night and decided to go bowling. They are 3 and 5 and never went so why not try. This is a spacious bowling ally and have open bowl all the time. No one was there on Saturday at 10a. Went to front desk and wasn't greeted very well. No good afternoon have you been here before. I had not bowled in years. Started by trying to figure out how to get kids shoes. The man had no idea. Then my wife reminded me to look at size in shoe. Dah. We all got fitted with newer shoes. Kids had Velcro. Nice. Then the ball hunt began. I asked what's the heaviest ball you have. 16 lb was the answer. Then I looked and looked and looked. Nope not a single one in the entire huge place. I asked again the response, they r out there just look for purple like ball. No help whatsoever ever. I gave up went to 15 lb ball. Not a single small holed ball in the place. They were designed for the hulk I guess. Went to lanes. Had to get 2 because adults can't bowl on bumper lanes so I was told yet the guy put them up anyway. Then came putting in names. Short story I screwed up and the guy couldn't fix it. I told him turn off lanes and try again. He wouldn't. Had to bowl out of sequence whole game. No pin reset button anymore must wait for attendant. R u kidding! Finally bowled and found out that this 3 year old lasted 5 frames. Decided one game wa enough. Went to pay. Wait for it! $40 for 1 game and shoes. R u kidding! Guess I need to coupon shop. All in all avg experience. Nothing to write home about but it is time to write Facebook about it! read more

While it's an okay place to bowl, anything else is horrendous. The food is incredibly overpriced, with small portions, that always takes forever to come out. The managers couldn't care less and are highly incompetent. Outside food is constantly being brought in and I can see why. I asked for the college price specials, and 5 drinks cost $32. For my White Russian, he literally opened those free little creamers you get at a convenience store. The woman who works at the front counter with glasses is currently yelling at a parent to sit down at a table while there is a children's tournament going on. Called today 3/16/2020 to cancel our two boys birthday parties that was suppose to be this weekend due to cornavirus. Restaurants including theirs not being able to serve food and no large gatherings allowed. I did not cancel because we wanted to but had to due to state rules as of now. All they offered was to credit us meaning keep our money to re schedule the party sometime in the next year (oh and they would waive the re-scheduling fee.... wow thanks). I explained we are moving out of state in the next two months and all they said is they have 300 locations across the country we could use the credit at. I explained that the kids will have to forge new friendships etc before planning another party etc. and told them give me my MONEY back!!!! The customer service said she would talk to a manager and have someone call me back.... Guess what nobody has called back and we are out almost 700 bucks for parties that won't happen out of our control and a greedy company that charges people for services not rendered. I will never enter one of their facilities ever again in my life and never have a nice word to say about them. My next step is to call our credit card company and dispute the charges!!!!! We came to strike n spare hoping to have a fun night of cosmic bowling. We called ahead to double check on times and to see if we could possibly reserve a lane. We were told we could not reserve a lane as it is first come first serve, but that cosmic bowling started at 9. That's absolutely fine we planned on getting there early anyway. We arrive just before 9 and the venue is practically dead so we figure getting a lane wouldn't be an issue. Once we get to the counter to set our party up for cosmic bowling, we were told Cosmic bowling didn't start for another hour. We were a bit frustrated because of the misinformation since we were already there and didn't want to wait another hour to bowl or leave and come back so we decided to bowl a standard game which is significantly more pricey for a party of 4 than the deal you'd get with cosmic bowling. However, after speaking with the employees behind the counter we find out that cosmic bowling is $20 per person and only for an hour since they close at 11 during the summer. That's barely a deal because how many games can you really play with a group of people within one hour? It took us around 45 minutes to bowl a standard game so it's really not worth the price. I'm disappointed because I've always had a pleasant experience bowling here in the past. Now I realize we would have gotten a better deal at Flamingo Bowl where you can reserve a lane, cosmic bowling is $16 per person for 3 and a half hours of bowling with a dj and prizes. read more
