I read some of the comments and was surprised by some of the negativity's. Maybe we came on a good night, our experience was great and definitely will come back soon. The venue was clean, we were able to get a lane relatively easier, in addition the price point was great! Gonna save that details for myself so you guys can go find out, but it's cheaper than Main event and Maverick. As for our server, she was attentive, helped us to get setup entering our names into the system, and continued to serve drinks throughout our time there even though we were one of the farthest tables/lane (29) away from the bar. I ordered the boneless wings, and they were served raw. I reported it and was told a manager would likely comp the meal or offer a replacement. When I asked for a pizza instead, I was told it would be an upcharge, so I requested a refund. After waiting nearly an hour with no follow-up, I had to go to the front desk and explain the situation again before another manager finally processed the refund. Throughout the entire interaction, the employees and managers came across as dismissive and rude. At no point did anyone apologize for serving raw food or for how the situation was handled. read more

Bowling is more expensive each time I go, but we enjoy it. I looked up a quote to reserve a lane and was quoted a little over $100 for 2 hours. I didn't reserve because the time was too late so we just walked in instead. It wound up being $87 for 4 of us. This included shoe rentals and 2 games that took a little over an hour so not bad. We also got wings and fries. I was impressed by the food. It was fresh and the wings were crispy and flavorful. For traditional wings and fries it was $27. It was a good time. The bathrooms were clean as well and the staff was super nice which is a plus. read more

My kid came to AMF Tempe Village Lanes over the summer with a camp and wanted to come back for her birthday party. We booked over the phone and it was super easy and more flexible than the online reservation system in terms of changing head count. I will say I was caught a bit off guard by the $80 event fee. Kind of pushed the pricing from reasonable to expensive IMO. Day of, we were the first ones in the bowling alley at noon and basically had the place to ourselves for an hour. The manager was just amazing--friendly, accommodating, obviously a parent himself. We ended up with 3 lanes. The kids had a blast. They enjoyed the arcade and bowling. The food set up was a buffet at the end of our lanes. The food was tasty and the set up was cute. The Mac and cheese bites were surprisingly good. Our server kept an eye on the food for refreshes and kept our soda pitchers full. So even though I spent a little more than I intended, the service was excellent and my kid and her friends had a great time, so I would absolutely recommend AMF Tempe Village Lanes and I would have another event here. read more

If you want a place to host a party (especially for kids), this place is amazing and affordable. We have had my son's bday party here 2 years in a row. The prices are great and the event planner, Erin, is easy to work with. Food and drinks are above average for bowling alley food (Yummy chicken tenders and fries. I have been bowling in leagues since 2016 and this alley gets worse each week I am here. The lanes don't work, they built an arcade room no one uses instead of pouring the money they have into improving their lanes. Every time the lanes break down, they offer no compensation for the trouble the lanes cause, and when they finally send us to another lane, they just take us to another one that has just as many issues. Sometimes they take so long to help us, the bartender had to step in to assist. And it's every week this happens! I get it if the lanes are simply going through issues one week, but this is every week. At this point, shut down the lanes if nothing is going to be done about improving them. read more

UPDATE: a bartender brought us a new hotdog with a steamed bun and gave my kiddo a glow stick bracelet and was very kind and accommodating and apologized for the bun AND THEN brought her an ice cream shake. Cool dude. We appreciate his kindness. And the manager heard about the hotdog and didn't charge us Our server is very polite but is not very attentive at all. The kitchen is so slow we're almost done with our games and my kid still hasn't gotten her meal. The server never brought over my kids drink and I waited 35 minutes before I finally went to the bar and asked for it myself. If we're done before we get her food I'll be canceling the order. We're having to ask for refills. That's his job. I went to order something and he finished talking to my friend next to me and didn't even acknowledge me. I get that it's busy. Very busy, it's a Saturday night. Wow just got my kids hot dog and the bun is SOOOO hard, she can't even bite into it. I get y'all are probably short staffed but how crappy of a cook or whatever can you be to give out a bun that was probably so old it was past it's expiration date. The staff is always very nice here, I know they're trying their hardest. The front desk ppl are super quick to help and very nice. But the kitchen staff needs to get their crap together. A hot dog shouldn't take 45 minutes, I shouldn't get my drink when my food gets out, I should get it right away. And your kitchen staff should KNOW BETTER than to serve a bun like that. 2 of my friends had to go track down their food cuz it took almost an hour to get it and my friends just got their ice cream they ordered OVER an hour ago. How disappointing. Really truly.... I get it, no one wants to work anymore. And the whole bowling ally was full. But the least the server could have done is tell us when we were ordering that the kitchen was already an hour behind when we ordered so we were aware what we were getting into. I'll still come back. Worst experience at a bowling alley in my life. Came in two weeks ago for unlimited bowling with a few friends and most of us have our own balls recently, that day we ran into an issue with our balls being stuck in the ball return machine and caused massive damage to my ball and less severe damage to my friends balls. We then immediately reported this to the manager on duty, who acknowledged the damages however shows no remorse for the damages, not one apology for the inconvenience. They then said that the ball can be repaired by their ball guy for free of charge which was nice of them, however my 2 month old Rhino bowling ball warranty was voided once they repaired the ball due to Brunswick reactive ball warranty because the ball was filled with resin again. I was not too happy about this because not only is the ball not in its original form and was damaged but the warranty on my brand new ball is also voided. So I called back to ask them to replace the ball and I was able to speak with the general manager Rachel and she said she would ask her district manager to get the ball replaced but haven't heard back from her since due to it being her days off from work apparently. I fully understand people having their days off but come on, if there was an incident where a customer is unhappy because their brand new ball was heavily damaged by my bowling alley, I'd be on case to resolve the issues in a timely manner. But I guess that's not the case for Rachel, she's enjoying her days off. I ended up picking up my 2 month old damaged and "repaired" ball which now needs to be resurfaced because that area now has a completely different grit than the rest of the ball. The damage was so bad that when they went to repair the ball, you can even see the material under the cover stock of the ball. Now I understand they they carry no responsibility for personal equipment customers being however if their machinery is so poorly maintained where it damages customers balls, at least own up to your mistakes of poorly maintaining your bowling alley and make things right. Also the General manager Rachel didn't seem regretful at all while she was telling me that my request for my ball to be replaced may not get approved and also did not apologized once about this incident just told me that it was unfortunate.. well no sh*t. One of the assistant managers did tell me that he was sorry for this whole situation when I went to pick up my damaged/"repaired" ball. If you plan on bowling here with your own equipment, i would highly suggest you go to a different bowling alley unless you want your ball getting damaged. I would also highly suggest going to a different amf in overall if you want good service where people show compassion and actually seem to care about things like their machinery damaging your equipment. My family just did the NYE family bowling party and it was AWESOME! It was our first time doing this and I think it will become our New Year's tradition. My kiddos loved the buffet of chicken tenders, pizza, and fries (I mean how can you go wrong with those items?!). The warm cookies for dessert were delicious. They provided the Apple cider and/or champagne and provided a little countdown so we welcomed the New Year at 7:30!! Perfect! The managers were so cordial and came by to introduce themselves and ask if we needed anything. A decent happy hour with drink and food specials brings in a large crowd during the weekends and weeknights. These lanes feel a bit smaller to me as compared to Brunswick or Main Event, Fat Cats, etc, but the seating area is sufficiently ample enough to fit a group of 4-8 or even more. Music selection is interesting, with a wide genre range from EDM to classic 90's pop songs. The arcade section has been modernized with more updated games. I want to give this place a quarter of a star. However, Yelp is nice enough to start with a whole star. For starters, I could count on one hand the amount of people working there. With the crowd that was in there, you needed a full staff. It just didn't help if anyone had issues with a lane... like us. Our lane had a huge issue and it kept getting stuck to where the worker had to come fix it. Again, huge crowd... we never finished our game. To their credit, they didn't charge. But the fun was far from over. The food, I can proudly say, was the highlight of our trip. The food we ordered took about an hour and a half to get to us. And as you can imagine, it was cold. I'm a fan of cold pizza... just not when I order it. I forced myself to eat it, because... well... I paid for it. That didn't go well for my stomach. Prayers to Jesus were had. Many of them. They have a ton of lanes available and the employees were all pretty friendly and attentive. The server we had was the best. This was one of the worst bowling experiences we've ever had. We are league bowlers and bowl several times a week. The prices here are outrageous! I have never paid that much to bowl a game. Second there was ZERO OIL! Zero on those lanes. Balls were shooting across the lanes like an uncontrollable bullet. We bowled one game instead of our usual 4 or 5. We did mention it on our way out and the last time he "remembered" the lanes being oiled was a week prior. I was not happy.
