Huge selection of balls and any accessory you would need to go with. We went in to purchase a couple bowling balls and a bag (fun bowlers). Brandi was at the counter greeting us with a friendly smile. She directed us to the balls we were looking for, explained the process of having them fitted and drilled, then turned us over to Mike. He was just as friendly and informative about the measurements he was taking. Mike drilled the balls as we waited. The whole process, from picking out balls, getting fitted and having them drilled was roughly an hour. Time well spent. I went back about a week ago to get a ball. The lady helping was so nice again. I walked in and told her what type of ball I wanted and asked what her suggestions were. She gave me a couple of suggestions and explained the differences in each balls and which ones she suggested and didn't suggest. She was super super nice again and gave me time to thing about which ball I wanted to get. When I did end up getting the ball she got my name and other things and added it to a profile. I am not 100 percent sure but I am pretty sure they have this so if you go back you don't need to get your hand sized again. When the man came out to measure my hand he was also super nice. I had read reviews that he was rude to customers or didn't give them what they wanted so I was a little nervous but he was one of the nicest people. He measured my hand with a bowling ball and holes and went in to the shop to drill it. About 10 minutes later he came out with my drilled ball with finger holes. He told me the best way to care for the ball and I was on my way. Overall a 100/100 experience. read more

I joined a bowling league to give me something to do on Monday nights that didn't involve me spending oodles of cash because Mondays for some reason made me want to shop. I love to shop for anything! So I was a full blown card carrying leaguer but didn't have my own ball UNTIL TODAY, when I went into Bowl 300 "just to look" and see what my options were. I met the nicest man, Mike Calderon, he is the owner and was very knowledgeable and helpful for me to get my first real ball. We picked one out for me and he took my hand measurements and he drilled the holes to fit me perfectly. I now have a ball all for me--- just for me. :o) Not just a ball, but a bag and shoe covers (I already had shoes, but I will be coming back to Bowl 300 for some cool shoes they have there!). Glad I came into Bowl 300 because the service was so fast and friendly and he made me feel excited and happy to be a bowler. Maybe my average will improve finally!! Buyer beware, the ball selection is good but beware of the ball fitting process. The shop seems more concerned with giving you what they want rather what you want. So if you are absolutely certain that the ball fitting is correct, do yourself a big favor and get a second opinion. To be 100% fair they did return my money but the customer service experience was terrible. I have never been talked down to like that. I am an experienced bowler, who knows what he wants. The attitude at this shop was not pleasant. It was like it is their way or the highway. read more

Let me tell you---What a joy it was to come in and be welcomed by kind staff and the sound of pins hitting an oiled lane. Mike was a blessing and made my girlfriend and I feel right at home. There was no pressure into buying anything other than what we needed. We got two balls professionally drilled for $100 in under 20 minutes. After reading all of the positive reviews, I didn't even bother looking for another shop, and boy oh boy I'm glad I didn't! This shop is conveniently located next to an AMF bowling center. All of the reviews were accurate. Mike is very knowledgeable, very professional, and made learning about bowling fun. (We are novice bowlers). It's a one stop shop (we got everything that we needed here) that accommodates both novice and established bowlers and to top it off I got a free hand massage but Mike called measuring my hands for the holes or whatever. I don't know who that Steve guy is (that caused the one star review) but I thank goodness that "prick" was not there and therefore I had a great experience. East Valley this is it! read more

I was out of bowling for 13 years and when I returned to the game in 2014, I wanted to make an impact and wanted to try things I had not before. I took in one of my older balls and had Mike Calderon fit it with grips and a thumb insert, which I had never used before. Mike was the first driller that actually asked if I use a wrist support, apparently a critical factor in fitting the ball for proper release. When he asked that, I knew I was at the right shop. A week later, after throwing the old ball he fit for me, I was in there for a brand new ball and have been there for a dozen more since with not one disappointment. My game has elevated to a level it has never been at before. When you have someone like MIke who will take the time to analyze your game, fit you properly and continue to help you with questions and advice that doesn't just apply to the bowling balls but all facets of the game, it is hard not to be a loyal customer. Mike possesses an in-depth knowledge of the game over many years of competition, coaching, drilling and representing manufacturers and this helps to give him an unbiased look into your needs without trying to get rich off of you. Trust me...Mike will be paid but you will get value and then some from what you pay for regardless of your skill level. Mike's wife Brandi is also an asset in the shop. She has years of competitive experience at a number of levels and she balances the ambience in the shop very well. Where to start. So many very important points to pass on. First some background. I was a very good bowler about 20 years ago (bowled some pro events in my college days) but kids came along and I more or less stopped bowling to focus on the family more. I am just now starting to show some interest in the sport again now that the kids are bit older. My son and I came down from Alaska to catch some spring training baseball action. Before we left for this trip, I researched Bowling Pro Shops in the Phoenix area as I wanted to pick up a new ball or two for the upcoming nationals tournament in Reno. I was looking for someone who really knew their stuff. I had read about the shop owner of Bowl 300 Pro Shop and everyone who commented on his services was very pleased. Mike is, by far, the best pro shop operator I have had the pleasure of working with.. If you have a desire to be a better bowler, and work with Mike, you will see results, and possibly very quickly. Some highlights of my experience: * Mike is very giving of his time. Superb customer service. Probably the best customer service experience I have had for a while, bowling or otherwise. Mike clearly has a passion for what he does. He enjoys helping others get more out of their game and is generous with his time to work with you on making you a more skilled player if that is what you desire. * Mike is up to speed on the technology of modern bowling balls. Advancements in technology have radically changed bowling balls over the past several years. There are many, many variables which of course means that things can get complex.. Mike does a good job of matching up your game to the new equipment. If you just want a ball that fits and don't care about the tech side, no problem. But if you want to discuss surfaces, weight blocks, Pin Positions, how a ball reads the mid lane, etc. then no problem. * Mike will not try and upsell you. He is honest. If he thinks the best ball for you is one that costs $60, he will suggest that one, and not one that cost $160. * The best value in a bowling ball, in my opinion, is one that fits you properly. No problems here. He will probably get the drilling right the first time, but if adjustments are needed he would make them until the ball is right for your unique hand and bowling style. * Innovation. You can actually several balls before making a buying decision. I am not aware of any other pro shop that has this sort of service. No extra fees for this. Unreal. I tried several balls to see which one fit me best for my style. This is a huge advantage relative to other shops that don''t let you try a ball before the purchase. You don't want to spend $200 plus dollars on a ball, get it drilled without throwing it first and discover it doesn't do what you thought it would. Again, this is true innovation and all respectable shops should offer the same opportunity to demo equipment before purchase. * Mike has some great stories. Funny guy. Good communicator. Great storyteller. You won't be bored while in the shop. Only improvement I could see would be a black lab or bulldog hanging out in the stop. Just seems like that would make the place complete. If I could give ten stars I would. Phoenix is lucky to have this shop around. Again, if you desire to be a better player, you will get there much quicker going to Bowl 300 Pro Shop. I had a wonderful experience here, I must say. I understand that some others might have been put off by how long the whole process took (including waiting for others ahead of me), but it was more than worth it. I've bought a few balls in the past, but no shop spent nearly the time and care on the process as Mike did. He was more insistent on getting things perfect than I was, where other shops often act like they're just trying to push you out the door once they make the sale. It's nice to have the expert insist on doing better, instead of acting like it's your fault if their drilling isn't comfortable (an experience I've have at multiple pro shops). Definitely the best shop in the area, no question in my mind. Only complaint I might add was the selection on-hand seems a bit narrow in some categories. I am new to the game and have been playing consistently for the last 5 months. Getting a ball was one the best decisions I have ever made, but going to Bowling 300 was the best decision. Mike can have a 45 second conversation with you and recommend the perfect ball! Just don't ya dare try and get a ball that is above your skill level, because it aint happening here! That's what is so great about this pro shop, it's about the game and not about someone trying to make a quick buck off you. Pricing online is so much better than most local pro shops, but not at Bowl300 pro shop! This is your one stop shop for the best pricing on the newest equipment. If you're trying to haggle, this is not your place because Mike knows whats online or around and his pricing is set to sell! I purchased the Gamebreaker 2 and it was $20 lower than any local shop or pricing I saw online. I have purchased two balls and they are drilled to perfection!
