While I personally haven't stayed at the Omni Tempe Hotel, I have visited it many times for events and to visit friends from out of town who were staying there. I have been impressed by the professionalism of the staff, the layout of the very nice rooms, the way the ballroom works for large events, and the various restaurants and bars in the hotel. I have enjoyed food and drinks and views of the area from Lucero, the rooftop bar, and also from the Neighborhood Service Bar + Restaurant (on the first floor). I certainly recommend this as a great hotel to stay at if you are visiting Tempe or better yet, ASU, which is right nearby. This hotel is actually really nice. I loved the location and it was super clean and the decor was unique in the rooms. I enjoyed a cold coffee in the lobby which was delicious and the check in staff was pleasant. Pool area is gorgeous and they even passed out free popsicles just for being there. Unfortunately a BIG issue that I had was the parking situation. I was traveling from out of state and called the hotel about a week before to ask how parking was handled. They told me it was $40 valet or self park for $18 in the same structure that the valets use which is about a block away. I used this information to budget and plan accordingly. The parking of $18 vs $40 makes a difference to whether I rent a car vs just uber everywhere. I thinking ok I can park for $18 book my car and set off on my trip. The parking structure isn't directly attached to the hotel but I find it and ask the parking attendant via video call if this was the proper structure for hotel parking and how do I get in out privileges. He confirms it is and I can enter/exit through north side of the structure. Great I think, I'm in the right spot. At this point in the trip I have had 2 people of authority confirm the $18 self park. Later that evening I am ready to go to dinner and try to exit the "north side" as I'm told and it's totally blocked off. I call the attendant again because obviously I'm not going to pay each time I enter and exit the structure. This new attendant tells me there's no in out privileges? The only option would be to valet. Fine time to tell me this. Please note this is the third person within the Omni/parking structure I've spoken with. I get them to lift the arm for free and when i return to hotel in person front desk says my only option was to use valet. Aside from the bait and switch the valet was terribly slow( not because of the workers but because there were just too many ppl utilizing the service). I could have walked to get my car myself in half the time I had to wait for valet. I cannot recommend this hotel due to the parking situation. A self park with key swipe is industry standard, I've stayed at enough hotels to know this. Forcing visitors to use valet is scammy. read more

Wonderful 4-day stay. Clean, well-appointed, comfortable and spacious rooms, amazing 15th floor view. Very accommodating front desk staff. The main floor restaurant served delicious food - especially the airline chicken and wedge salad. The main floor bar was energetic and staffed by friendly employees (especially Sarah!). Roof top bar was amazing with indoor/outdoor seating. Full food menu too. Very well stocked coffee/snack/drink shop. Good location - easy walk to several restaurants. As a birthday gift I sent my wife out of town to visit family. I felt like it would be a nice gesture if I could have some kind of gift, or expression delivered to her on her actual birthday. To see if this was possible I made contact with first Jayla, and second Bianca- both of which had outstanding customer service. I like the fact that both asked extensive questions to determine if I should have access to current guest lists- as a father and husband that was plus. I've never been to AZ, therefore as you could imagine I'm not too familiar with the area, nor the different service options. Jayla was helpful in not only giving me some options but also offering viable suggestions to accommodate my wife's birthday wishes. After solidifying my plans with payment I came into contact with Bianca. I don't think the two were in contact with one another but Bianca's service was great as well. She had me verify important information about the reservations, she confirmed that the gift was delivered and even discussed various ways to surprise my wife. My wife got the gift and loved it! In addition to that her stay at the Omni was amazing. Overall, the stay, & customer experience at the Omni was top tier. My family and I stayed at the Omni Tempe Hotel - ASU for my fiancé and I's graduation. The location is super close to campus, the staff was super friendly, food was great and the rooms were nice. We had some issues with our room when we first checked in but they immediately upgraded us. The whole hotel is decked out in ASU spirit which was really fun. Stayed for two nights and enjoyed the convenience of walking along Mill Ave and University Drive which is in proximity to ASU. Had dinner at Lucero Rooftop Restaurant but it was raining. Enjoyed the birria empanadas. Wish they had it as an entree. The airline chicken was great and dessert portions were just right. Coffee and pastries at Library Rules were perfect to start the morning and the Gym was great to work it off after a long day. So, I have a niece, and she is the absolute coolest, most fun person. She's my mini-me (well, technically my sister's mini-me, but I am also my sister's mini-me? My niece looks like the fourth daughter.) Anyways, I wanted to give her an experience for her 12th birthday. I also wanted to start a new tradition because we love ourselves a good tradition! Immediately, I thought a slumber party would be so fun, but like, elevated. A hotel room! I chose the Omni at ASU because we all work there and my niece is super proud of her mom. I decided to get a Mountain View room. They asked if I wanted to join the club, and so I did. It prompted me to tell them if I was celebrating or had any requests. I asked if they could put us on a higher floor for maximum impact and print out some pictures for her birthday with a note from me to be in the room when we arrived. (Someone had done that for me once in my 20s, and I remember feeling extra special.) When we checked in, they let us know we had been upgraded to a suite, we were high up, the photos were beautifully printed on a poster, and she freaked, just absolutely beaming! There are two bathrooms! There's a huge soaking tub! We had a living room with a tv and the bedroom was huge! The decor was so charming. We took pictures at every sitting area. The views were stunning! Then! About ten minutes after we arrived, room service arrived with a birthday cake and Shirley temples! We lounged in the robes and hooked up the tv to my phone so we could stream easily! We decided to check out the rooftop restaurant. My niece said this is so fancy--I kind of wish they had a grilled cheese, though. I asked the server, and he said the chef would be happy to make her an offer menu grilled cheese. We tried the blueberry lemonade mocktail and the burrata plate. Everything was excellent. Before we left, they brought her a delicious flourless chocolate dessert. You guys, at this point, we feel like royalty. The rest of the evening was bubble baths, skincare, nails, background tv, and silly Tik Tok filters. Honestly, it was really a birthday gift for both of us. It's Libra season, baby! We had the best time, and I am so happy that I chose Omni for our new tradition! They couldn't have treated us any better! It was literal perfection. I even had to take a few days to like come back down to Earth, but my niece and I cannot stop talking about how wonderful it was and how we can't wait for next year--and how we should probably just start celebrating half birthdays, too. After an extremely busy July and with my upcoming birthday, I treated myself to a staycation at the beautiful Omni hotel in downtown Tempe. I had stayed at the Omni in San Diego years ago and I remember it being a gorgeous hotel, so thought I'd give this one a try! Tons of positives: All staff have been very friendly during my stay. The room was very clean and also adorable! The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and nightlife (if that's your thing!). There wasn't a lot going on the night I stayed since school doesn't start for another week or so, so it was incredibly quiet (perfect for me!) A few noteworthy things: The hotel entrance is on the west side of the building, only off of Mill Avenue directly. There is no self parking. The ice machines on each floor don't work but they will bring a bucket to your room if you call the front desk. read more

This was our first time staying at the Omni and it was awful. I am going to start with maid service. We opted not to have our room cleaned but called down to the front desk for clean towels. The towels never arrived at the room. The second issue is the lobby area was not clean. I went to sit down in a seating area facing the windows and it looked like someone dropped a glass of wine on the rug. The tables in the lobby had garbage on them and I never saw any cleaning staff the entire three days we were there. The last issue is the one that bothered me the most. Both the downstairs and upstairs bars were extremely understaffed. There was one bartender working each bar and maybe one other person helping. I went up to Lucero and ordered a Cosmo. We waited twenty-five minutes to order and it was the worst $19.00 Cosmo I have ever had. The bartender was completely overwhelmed by herself. In the process of trying to quickly make the drinks she dropped something and glass shattered across the bar. She just kept going which I give her credit for but she should have had help. After we got back to our room I called the bar and spoke with Marvis who is the bar manager. I explained the situation and Marvis was great. He brought a bottle of champagne to the room which was incredibly nice. I put the blame for the situation squarely on the General Manager of the Omni. You are responsible for ensuring adequate staffing and you are setting up your staff for failure. Do better. read more

This hotel opened in April 2023. It was a total ghost town. This review is for one overnight hotel stay and several visits to the rooftop pool w/ daybed service, and the NHS restaurant inside the hotel, from May-September of 2023 I had nothing but excellent experiences at all of the mentioned places inside the hotel. The pool and pool service were amazing, especially the server with the red hair. She was so kind & accommodating every time I visited. The pool became my secret escape last summer. My only feedback is the daybeds need a better shading solution. Especially in the dead of summer. I've had breakfast a couple of times at the NHS restaurant and it was always fresh and prepared well. read more

I've been here now a couple of times now to meet colleagues for a drink or attend a conference. The lobby is nice, and plenty of places to sit and staff have been helpful and welcoming. There is an on-site restaurant and ate here once with a colleague. She had a soup, and I had a soda. Good place for business meetings. I had to valet my car today as there wasn't another option for parking on site at the hotel, which I find odd. It's not that I have an issue with this system per se, but I just don't want strangers in my car, so I didn't really enjoy the valet part of this experience. The attendant was very nice and helpful, I just can't stand valet. The conference was on the second floor of the hotel, and the room we were in was set up strangely. It's a rectangle shaped room, and the speaking stage was on the long length of the room, so people sitting at both ends of the rectangle really couldn't see the speakers. The other option would be to put the speakers' stage on the short length of the room and just have more rows of seating, which might have worked out nicer. Bathrooms were clean, and while I couldn't stay for the reception right after the sessions, the setup looked very nice, and even with Mexican style singers and their voices were beautiful. This hotel has prime real estate and right on the ASU campus. It's a nice classy place. I have a feeling I'll be here often, which isn't a bad thing. Some oddities to the hotel, but I guess that's what gives it charm. read more

I quickly fell in love with the Omni Tempe Hotel ASU. This new hotel is beautiful, conveniently located, and lots of amenities that made it a joy to stay here. The room was large and comfortable. Sure, the bathtub is a bit small but I appreciate that they have a bathtub! I was very impressed how quiet it was. I never heard any neighbors if I had any. I really liked the decor as well. The bedside tables looked like pieces of antique luggage on stands. The wet bar beside the counter had a lot of character with just enough ASU flair. It had a modern flair but was still very cozy. The staff was delightful. Everywhere I went everyone was so friendly. The software that they use for valet services is the best I have seen. I never waited for my car. It was always waiting for me by the time I got downstairs. When the website says the car is ready it indeed is ready. Those gentlemen really helped me out while I was in town as I never was late for work. For the business traveler I very much appreciated my time here. Was here for a two day stay. The hotel is very modern and quiet as hotels should be. We had two rooms and the decor was very well put together. Ill be mentioning the noise level a lot as the rooms were very quiet and could not hear any of the other patrons. We visited the pool and it was a small pool but I was very nice and put together with a view to the west. We caught a sunset. Our rooms faced north onto University, to the north, and let me tell you there is a night life and you can definitely hear it. The noise really came from traffic that was driving by or waiting for the lights to change. Parking is valet only which was a bit pricey so we decide to park off site actions the street adjacent to the jack n the box. I was really worried about leaving my vehicle there but I was parked for to days and nothing happened to it. Overall I would stay here again but ask for a room that does. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, which makes me pretty comfortable with my review . . . which is awesome. I mean there are always a few things that could be better, but this was one of the quietest hotels I've ever stayed in (though note it was during exam week at ASU -- maybe it gets loud during the rest of the year), with large, well-lit rooms, comfortable beds (pillows on the edge of comfortable -- I do wish there was a foam pillow offered), and a very clean and well-designed bathroom (and it had a makeup mirror which always gets extra bonus points in my reviews). The staff was incredibly helpful and literally anticipated what we needed, even going the extra mile to provide us with a service we said we didn't need but they could tell we really did and so did it anyway. The food was excellent for a hotel (and maybe even good for a non-hotel). I ate at the restaurant one morning and the avocado toast was very good, and I was at a conference with a catered lunch that was also excellent. The gym is well-appointed but could be larger given the size of the hotel -- it was pretty crowded at 6 am. Location also great -- restaurants, pharmacy, and a Whole Foods within a few blocks. We were in town to celebrate a momentous occasion--the 25th birthday of my niece and it was the first visit to the Phoenix metro area for some of the ladies!As black women and women of color, we had eagerly anticipated our visit to Omni, hoping for a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflected the values of diversity and equality. However, from the moment we arrived, we encountered a series of distressing incidents that left us feeling marginalized and discriminated against. We weren't even seated; we had to seat ourselves. Despite our efforts, the hostess never returned with the menus she promised to bring. It took our waiter an additional 10 minutes just to bring menus to our table. Throughout our time in the restaurant, we felt as though we were being judged based on the color of our skin, rather than being treated with the respect and dignity that every guest deserves. Our server's demeanor was marked by indifference and rudeness exacerbating our sense of discomfort and unwelcome. Not only were our drinks delayed and our food cold and tasteless, but we also felt ignored and dismissed when we attempted to address these issues. It became painfully clear that implicit bias and prejudiced attitudes were at play, tarnishing what should have been a joyous celebration of my daughter's milestone birthday. In today's climate, where conversations about racial inequality and social justice are more urgent than ever, it is imperative that establishments like Omni Hotel actively work to create a culture of inclusivity and acceptance. Merely paying lip service to diversity is not enough; tangible actions must be taken to dismantle systemic barriers and foster an environment where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their race or ethnicity. Used Resort Pass to visit the pool, Front Desk was friendly and helpful, lobby was immaculate. The pool was sparkly and clean, there is no hot tub (I should've known this because of Resort Pass) which was not huge deal. Chairs are comfortable. Bar employees are friendly, food menu looks good might try it next time if the kitchen is open. Valet was kinda a mess, took forever to get our car, the kid running it was like the Dwight Schrute of Valet's, wasn't friendly to co-worker's, wasn't friendly too us and had he been paying attention we would've paid before our car was brought around instead of having confusion and us wait longer because he didn't have us pay. Also the Valet charges an extra charge on top of the $20 that they don't bother to mention when you park, sooo not a fan of the valet service but everything else was nice. read more

I'm writing this review in my bed from the hotel because I am wide awake! Awake because I can't sleep from all the noise around this hotel that's apparently built with rice paper walls... the lawnmower, the bus, the security alarm, the train, the garbage truck ... you name it you can hear it. My windows are closed and I'm on the 6th floor and it feels like I'm on a bench on the street. The hotel is beautiful and the room is clean and modern, staff were friendly but that's it! No self parking unless you wanna walk two blocks, pool is not heated nor is there a jacuzzi for a stay here in the winter or cooler season. I am only here for one night and I can't wait to leave. Chose this location during our stay for a graduate for a week for its high rated reviews. Though during and after the stay, compared to other hotels and working in hotels, this hotel fell in a few categories. Hospitality - 4/5 - Employees are nice and helpful. If anything was unanswered, you'll just be on a brief hold to get an answer. Housekeeping - 3/5 - Attentive, only if you call for assistance or requests. Approx 10-15min wait for the items to arrive to your room. Downside, if you call for housekeeping service, they don't arrive when you ask, they seem to arrive during housekeeping hours only. I called for service around 10-11a. They didn't come til around 3-4. Best thing you can do is just leave the used towels and trash outside the room on the side and they'll pick it up. To replace the towels or anything else, call guest services. Security - 4/5 - Building seems safe and secure. In order to use the elevators, you'll need a guest keyboard to access the other floors. Only reason why it's a 4 was because the backdoor to the courtyard was inaccessible entering the building. Even with a keycard, the sensor was be lit Green, but the door wouldn't open. Cleanliness - 5/5 - overall the hotel is definitely clean and organized. Accessibility - 2/5 - limited microwaves. For a hotel, you have to request for a microwave for the room. But they only have a limited quantity. No vending machines. There's a CVS across the street, but that just make it inconvenient if you're just trying to stay within the hotel. No giftshop/convenience store within the hotel. No complimentary breakfast. Majority hotels I've been in, even the cheapest of the cheap, have complimentary breakfasts. Parking - 0/5 - valet parking mandatory. Prob the worst by far. As a guest, parking is generally included. But no, guest or not, you're obligated to valet your vehicle or park offsite and still pay for parking there. Valet for a hotel guest is approx $40/night. Everyone else is $60 for 8hrs, more for overnight. Overall it's an OK hotel to stay at but I'm pretty sure there are better options in the city. From check in to check out, the experience at Omni Tempe was top-notch! We had a late check-in but the valet staff Ryan & William were helpful and courteous. Kayla at reception told us a little about the new hotel and was very accommodating. The room was amazing, luxurious amenities and a spectacular view. My wife & I took advantage of the free drink tickets before the bar closed and Andreas gave me some tips on the local beers as well as stories of his travels. His recommendation to visit Low Key piano bar was appreciated and my wife & I had a great time. Checkout was a breeze as Jordan helped with a late checkout and I even got to meet the Sales Director Dana and she gave us a tour of the new rooftop bar. The library gift shop was beautiful and stocked full of delicious snacks & drinks. Upon driving out, Hunter at valet was able to give me some tips on local stores that was much appreciated. I can't stop recommending this hotel to my AZ friends and anyone else who's looking for a beautiful stay in Tempe. Thank you Omni for your hospitality, Can't wait until I come back again! read more
