My nurse, Meredith, went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during one of the scariest experiences of my life. She treated me with so much kindness, compassion, and respect. With everything happening in the world today, I was deeply touched by how welcoming and supportive the staff were. There was no discrimination or judgment--just genuine care and understanding. The hospital has a very diverse and professional team, and you can tell this place is women-led. Everything is spotless, well-organized, and filled with staff who clearly love what they do--and they love babies! One thing that stood out to me is that they never separate mothers from their babies (as long as the baby is healthy). You stay together for 48 hours until discharge, which is such a comforting policy. My baby is currently in the NICU, and they even have a program that allows mothers to stay on-site after discharge to be close to their babies. When I walked into the NICU nursery and saw a nurse gently holding and bottle-feeding my baby with such care, it brought me to tears. These women are angels in scrubs. There was no trace of bias or animosity--just pure compassion. As a mother of a baby of color, that meant the world to me. I will never go to another hospital. I'm forever grateful to the incredible women here for their care, wisdom, and humanity.

I arrived to my 2:40 PM appointment about five minutes early. As soon as I checked in at the desk, the receptionist directed me into an exam room to get my shot. The nurse, Norine, was upbeat and positive. She asked a few questions- the usual consent to receive the vaccine, and that I had not tested positive for COVID recently or received antibody treatments. Norine said she'd been giving COVID-19 vaccines every day since February, and she was a pro. I barely felt the needle. My second appointment is in three weeks, as I got the Pfizer vaccine. I waited for 15 minutes before leaving, which is standard for COVID-19 shots. There are no magazines in the waiting room, so if you don't want to be on your phone, take a magazine or book. Parking is free in the large lot, and I only spent about 20 minutes total (shot + wait) here. The one side effect I experienced was soreness at the injection site, for about a day. The only thing that could've improved my experience would be a fun band-aid or a sticker, but alas, I got a shot of hope for returning to normal in the future.

Sweet. It's a very nice office with plenty of parking outside. The staff are very welcoming and friendly here. Due to Covid restrictions they ask that we wait for our appointment in the car. They called us within ten minutes. The exam room that we were assigned was clean, full of supplies and comfortable. The nice thing about this service is that all patients information is added to the account on the Patient Portal. So if you have ever been to any Roper your info will pull up. A nice advantage. A disclaimer here: I work for RSFH at another facility. The appointment was fast efficient and thorough with lab work done in the same building. Great service.

I have been a patient of RSF for over 15 years, primarily with a superb and recently retired PCP (Dr Pappas) and an excellent orthopedic surgeon ( Dr DeMarco) I badly injured myself and presented there on a Monday @ 6:45.... a full hour and a quarter before their advertised closing. There were two cars in the "patients' part of the parking lot and 3 cars in the employee's part. I interacted with 3 different people there and they refused to see me. The person in charge told me there were 3 patients already in there and they might not be finished with them before closing time. I literally begged them to see me. I was hurt and I am almost 80 years old. I told them about my long standing status as a Roper status. The didn't budge and didn't care. I decided to wait in the parking lot for a while to observe the cars there. The last patient apparently left about 7:30 and the last employee about 7:45. Being hurt and confused, I drove down to Drs Care, an urgent care center about a mile down Johnny Dodds Blvd. I checked in @ 7:58, 2 minutes before their closing time. The M.D. there treated me until 8:15, strongly advised me against driving, and recommended I go to the emergency room for a MRI and/or CT scan. I have been back there twice and they were very nice, very complete, and very professional each time I called the practice manager for the Roper walk in clinic a day or so later and she was as rude as the people at the walk in clinic. My advice = stay away from Roper Walk in Clinic and go to Drs Care. They advertise their closing time as 8:00 pm on flyers they send in the mail, on their web site, and on the front door of the office.

My first visit with Melissa Altman she listened, took my concerns seriously, and made sure that I got to ask any questions I had. She was very thorough in her review of my initial questionnaire and in her follow up questions based on my responses. My second visit was just as great and I was extremely satisfied with the lab results and the treatment plan prescribed. The rest of the office staff are so friendly and welcoming. I had to bring my toddler with me and he is all over the place and they were so understanding and tolerant of him. They accommodated my son and me and I am so grateful. Will definitely continue to see them. I highly recommend Merge Medical. For a medical center that has signs posted on their front door claiming they are taking precautions against COVID, I was alarmed the office was not promoting mask use. I thought this misfortune would end at the door, yet when Melissa Altman RN then met me for my appointment and was also not wearing one at all, she told me I could take mine off if it made me feel comfortable which obviously it did not and she didn't put on a mask to meet my comfort level displayed. I can't proceed with a medical treatment by professionals that are not even taking the virus seriously. Otherwise I think I would've continued with Merge Medical.
