Ordered to go, I wanted to try the new amen corner masters pizza. I asked for extra crispy, well done (it wasn't) only onions on half, they were one the entire thing. Passing through on a road trip. This was next door to our hotel. Was a bit skeptical thinking was just a pizza joint. The pizza was amazing! Crust even is tasty. This place is a nice eatery before or after a ballgame. It is alive with a lot of action going on. There are several big screen televisions playing in the dining area and pub. Lots of college students, it's directly across the street from Mercer University. We have dined here twice in the last four days. The food was great the first day, the fries were just out of the oil and cooked crisp just like I like them. The pizza, chicken buffalo sub and double cheese burger were wonderful. You could not get food that tastes better. Service was great too. On second trip we ordered the same food item but added the buffalo rolls. We stopped by a Mexican restaurant first and it was too busy so we decided to try Amici. Let me tell you I am so glad the Mexican place was too busy because Amici is a new favorite of mine! Amici's always been our #1 place to have wings. Never really had an issue with service until yesterday. The food was great as usual, I ordered the famous Bloody Mary that they have and it was totally different. I thought possibly it was a different bartender so no big deal. It usually comes dressed with a pickle and all the other wonderful fixings . It only came with a dry lime. I nicely asked my server for fresh lime . She came back with 2 more dry limes and said that's all they have . I find that hard to believe and the fact she came back with more dry lime was the icing on the cake . Amici is a chain of restaurants that should summarize my horrible review of this restaurant. But, I'll start by saying the only positive observation is ample parking. I ordered takeout since my hotel is adjacent, and I believed I could enjoy it somewhat hot..wrong. I had a hamburger, onions, a skinny cut of tomato, and translucent iceberg lettuce. How can you screw that up! Well, they did. Amici brags about their variations of beer, but they're all IPAs. I'm partial to great-tasting beers, mainly from Belgium. A little bit more expensive but worth it. Try it, and you'll love it. Go to McDonald's, save your money, and find another eatery--one-and-a-half stars. read more

No drinks refilled, she didn't come back at all after bringing our food. We finished our food and sat for 10-15 mins. My husband finally got up and took our little one outside. Certainly, the location is convenient, right across from Mercer's stadium. However, that's the best thing it has going for it. The food is okay, typical for a pizza joint. However, we ordered calamari for an appetizer. After our main course had arrived and we began, my sister realized the calamari had never been brought. When I inquired with the waitress, she admitted that the order had never been submitted. When the calamari did arrive, it was overcooked and some even burnt. There was no offer to compensate us for this oversight. When I inquired, I was told there was nothing that could be done except take off a couple of drinks. When I received the bill, that wasn't even done. I gave up, paid, and we left. Moreover, we were not informed beforehand about an "auto-gratuity" of 18%. There were only six persons. While I understand that sometimes this is done for very large groups, I do not believe six people constitutes a "large" group. Third, a separate 3% charge for using my credit card, again which we were unaware of. Most people pay with credit these days, so that is just the price of doing business. Either it's included in the price of food or we should be given an opinion before paying.Never again. When I contacted the owner, I was told that there was a sign posted in the door and a notice on the menu. As it turns out, there is a small sign on the door, among a dozen other signs and a notice about the gratuity at the bottom of the last page of the menu. While this might comply with the letter of the law, it's still not very forthcoming and requires the diner to be a bit of detective instead of merely enjoying the meal. Amici's is usually one of my favorite places to go for drinks after work. The food is good and the drinks are usually great. However I went today for a rooftop day party and it appears their superb service is only reserved for downstairs inside the main restaurant. The bar staff wasn't nearly as friendly up there and the drinks were a watered down mess . The dj was good as far as song selections goes, but he could definitely work on his transitioning skills.
