Food: The food was very tasty. I ordered the In-N-Out pizza, which is a take on a big Mac style pizza. Very tasty. The undercarriage of the crust was excellent. Crispy but not burnt. The toppings were fresh and definitely made with skill. Really liked it the food I give a strong 4 stars . Service: The service was good, but was very slow. Our group sat outside on the front porch because it was a mild evening in January. Took a while to get our food came out staggered. Our party was seven. Took a while to get the check could tell the waitress was trying her best. But I will give them the benefit of the doubt as they are a new location and trying to figure things out. I will give their service 3 stars. And expect it to be better in a few months. Definitely wouldn't keep me from coming back. Ambiance: This place is cool, seems like a really neat pizza place. Good aesthetics very clean the bathroom and the establishment are well kept. We sat on the front porch and those fixtures, tables and chairs, etc. seemed brand new. I would like to come back on a Regular visit and be inside for dining. I will give the ambience a 3.5. Wrap Up: All in all I think Amicis is a good place. I will come here again really liked it and I think after they work the kinks out, this place will rock! Good luck Amicis! I'm rooting for you!

Great pizza, nice little place to eat, kinda smaller version of the downtown restaurant. Service is spot on.

Some friends and I ended up here after realizing the Gourmet Burger Bistro closes early on New Years Day (oops), but honestly it worked out in our favor. I've been seeing Amici's floating around online for YEARS and just never got around to visiting ... but better late than never because babyyyy the food was hittin'. Y'all do NOT judge a book by its cover. From the outside it definitely gives a little "divey neighborhood spot," but the food? FYE. Way better than you'd ever expect walking in! Now I gotta talk about this Caesar salad. When it hit the table, I made a face at my homegirl because why did I see tomatoes in my Caesar salad!? In all of my almost 34 years of life I've never seen that before. But listen, I took one bite and had to humble myself because it was honestly one of the best Caesars I've ever had. Got me right together. We also got the hot caprese queso appetizer with foccacia bread and it was absolutely delicious. My chicken parmesan pasta was also amazing. I put the leftover caprese queso on top of the pasta and it was a wrap from there! Me and all my friends agreed that the food was really good despite our first impressions. I'm officially adding Amici's to my list of places to visit whenever I'm in Hampton Roads.

We came for lunch and had a wonderful meal. I have not had a better pizza than this in many years!…read moreIt reminded me of the pizzas I used to get in New Jersey back in the 60's. (Yes, the 1960's.) The crust was soft and flavorful. (I usually cannot taste the salt in pizza dough but I sure can tell if it's omitted! Al Forno's was perfect.) The sauce was delicately but perfectly seasoned. We added feta cheese and onion to the pizza. The cheese serving was generous and the onion flavor really came through. The side order meatball was larger and tastier than most other restaurant's meatballs. It was served in a bed of marinara sauce with a basil leaf adornment. My ravioli was tender and sized just right. The dining area was sparkling clean. Our service was friendly and reliable. The only issue we had was that we had to move from a booth to a table as the raised rim that kept the seat cushion in place was cutting into our thighs, making it a little uncomfortable. I look forward to being a regular customer!

It came out to about $100. The "Pizza Delish" wasn't even that good. Crust was ok. Didn't seem to have any sauce or seasoning. MINIMAL cheese, and I couldn't even tell that there was feta on it. It claimed to have "caramelized onions," ummm no---it was very obvious that said onions were put on the pizza raw prior to going into the oven. The "roasted peppers" were bland. Their cake was delicious but not enough to redeem their lack of quality and pricing with the pizza. Go to Joe's in Camptown--theyre less expensive and a heck of a lot better.

This is THE spot for locals in the Portsmouth area. It's no surprise you see reviews from patrons who drive from all over the Hampton Roads area to visit this gem! Service is so friendly and you can tell it is a TEAM! I sat at the bar so got to watch the open kitchen in action. Their system is down pat and you can tell everyone enjoys working with each other. Each dish I watched from prep to service was handled with meticulous care. PRIDE IN WORK AT ITS FINEST! Everyone works to serve you as a team as well, no worry about "bothering" another member of the staff for something, everyone wants you to enjoy your meal. I can tell there are a lot of local regulars as the staff was engaged on a level you only see when your clientele is consistent and have a vested interest in the success of the business. I've been to 16 countries and travelled all over the states, this is truly one of the most friendly establishments I've had the pleasure of being hosted at. On to the food! I see a few people complain about the small menu, that is the SMARTEST thing a business can do. Focus on what you're good at and demolish the competition. High Street Pizza and Pour delivers on this. My eyes were bigger than my stomach so I ordered the meatballs, the special for their pizza pie of the night (a pork belly, red onion, jalapeño, bbq drizzle dream boat of a pie), a tiramisu and two cocktails. The food in pictures looked smaller than in person... omg I ordered for about 4-5 people! But everyone was soooo good. Meatballs were tender with a fantastic red sauce. Pizza had a crispy buttery crust and the pork belly was rendered perfectly. Tiramisu was fantastic (not sure if that's an in house make or pre done, but it was on point), and the cocktails were perfectly poured with just the right amount of liquor. I left with probably two meals worth of takeout the portions were so large and I can't wait until I'm hungry again. I'm new to the neighborhood and as everyone knows, you need to find your fav local spot to frequent. I'm proud to report, High Street Pizza and Pour House has just taken that spot!

I remember eating from this place years ago but I couldn't recall if it was very good or not good…read morebut in my mind I said it must be very good cuz it's coming to mind. As a result, my husband and I went by here yesterday to pick up two large pizzas for a pizza party we were having for my aunt who's celebrating another birthday. Happy birthday Aunt Donna! Nevertheless, we arrived about 3:30p 3:45p on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. My husband was able to walk in order two pizzas and we were in and out and about 20-25 minutes. We drove another 15 minutes to the house before we began to dive into the pizza. We ordered the thin crust with only pepperoni and oh my gosh it was so good!! Again we attended a pizza party and this was the best pizza hands down out of I think six places people brought pizza from this was the first to go so good so fresh! I love thin crust highly recommend you check out Rita's if you haven't before. The parking no issue at all and you don't necessarily need to call it in either you can just walk up order your pizza and get it in a reasonable amount of time. It's located in a shopping center in Portsmouth so you have other shops that you can browse around well not necessarily shop, but I believe there is a brewery next door but your time will not be wasted while waiting for this goodness! Have fun and enjoy life :)

It is old school for sure.....nothing fancy. Loved it. They got my order done fast and right. I took it home and everyone liked the pizza. It's a thinner crust and I enjoyed the pizza. Perfectly cooked. The Greek Salad was good but I have had better. Very basic with canned olives and iceburg. Good enough. I would order again when I am at my moms and she is wanting a pizza with peppers and onions. It's also reasonably priced and they do have some carry out specials.
