Love this little gem! Menu was exciting because I couldn't make up my mind with all the good options. Shrimp and grits are the best tasting in Virginia

    Menu
    Bill Y.

Food: The food was very tasty. I ordered the In-N-Out pizza, which is a take on a big Mac style pizza. Very tasty. The undercarriage of the crust was excellent. Crispy but not burnt. The toppings were fresh and definitely made with skill. Really liked it the food I give a strong 4 stars . Service: The service was good, but was very slow. Our group sat outside on the front porch because it was a mild evening in January. Took a while to get our food came out staggered. Our party was seven. Took a while to get the check could tell the waitress was trying her best. But I will give them the benefit of the doubt as they are a new location and trying to figure things out. I will give their service 3 stars. And expect it to be better in a few months. Definitely wouldn't keep me from coming back. Ambiance: This place is cool, seems like a really neat pizza place. Good aesthetics very clean the bathroom and the establishment are well kept. We sat on the front porch and those fixtures, tables and chairs, etc. seemed brand new. I would like to come back on a Regular visit and be inside for dining. I will give the ambience a 3.5. Wrap Up: All in all I think Amicis is a good place. I will come here again really liked it and I think after they work the kinks out, this place will rock! Good luck Amicis! I'm rooting for you!

Love it here!…read more Yesterday my husband and I dined at this restaurant for the prime rib special. Today Monday the day after is National prime rib day so the restaurant decided to feature a special on prime rib for Sunday dinner. My husband made reservations online for 5:00 p.m. we arrived on time with no wait and because the restaurant was fairly empty we decided to dine at the bar instead of a table in the actual dining room. Our bartender/waitress, Lizzie, she was on point held the whole bar area down punctual assertive and had everything under control. I ordered a margarita I did ask her is it a fresh Margarita and she said yes and my husband ordered his normal crown with a splash of Sprite. My margarita in my opinion it didn't taste as fresh as I would like it to be and then I don't care to have a margarita in a tall glass that just screams mix not fresh to me. Nevertheless I just know not to order that again going forward but my husband's cocktail... Crown Royal with Sprite he enjoyed it! I wasn't super hungry so I decided to order a salad and add a piece of blackened salmon to it it was very good finished it all up... ordered it my way. My husband ordered the prime rib I believe medium his was a little bit more than medium but nevertheless he said it was good and he ate every last Fork full. We decided to make room for dessert so we share the creme bruelle which was pretty good ...not the best ever tho. Our dining experience took about 90 minutes we were able again to sit at the bar and catch some of the NBA Playoffs that were featured on TV. Overall the dining experience was a 10 out of a 10 five stars as usual of course a few bumps, but nothing to take away from this experience. The Ambiance is always lovely very inviting love the low lighting that it gives as well as the natural light that comes through the windows. The service always on point! I highly recommend you give this place a try if you haven't dined here before...solid restaurant. Have fun and enjoy life :)

I tip above 20% 95% of the time. The food was average at best. Temperature was off on both entries. Taste was nothing special. We only had 2 mixed drinks, and 2 glasses of wine. The 1st dirty martini was made with vermouth after I specifically said no vermouth. I was billed for both. Neither martini was topped off. Both were 1-1.5 inches from the top. Wine was fine. The service was ok. Not great. The table settings are bland, and could be found in a Dennys restaurant. After a below average dining experience; I was a bit surprised with a $375 bill. Suppose I should have paid more attention to the prices for side dishes and deserts. Adding insult to injury: I somehow left my Amex behind at the table. First time in my life. Then the fun began. My wife and I called the restaurant and had to leave messages 5 times between us, to confirm they had the card and to arrange a pickup. Not one call back: in 5 calls!!! Finally ordered a new card. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay away from these lazy people.

The waterfront setting is beautiful. I sat outside overlooking the water and marsh, and it was peaceful and exactly what I needed after traveling. My waitress was exceptional. She was genuinely kind and helpful, but never overbearing. It almost felt like she read my mood and responded to it perfectly--she checked on me when I needed something, made sure I was taken care of, and otherwise let me relax, enjoy the view, and eat. It was such a small thing, but after a long day it made a huge difference. And then there was the food, which was absolutely the star of the show. I started with the Oysters Rockefeller, and they were fantastic. For dinner I had the seafood platter with fish, shrimp, scallops, and a crab cake, with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was delicious, the portions were generous, and the seafood was cooked beautifully. I came in tired and just wanting to eat a ridiculous amount of seafood and go to bed. Instead, I got a beautiful waterfront dinner, wonderful service, and one of those meals that completely turns around a long travel day. I'm so glad I chose Decoys.

I asked for sparkling water and was immediately asked if I'd like to split it. Since the menu doesn't indicate that it's served as a one-liter bottle, the question caught me off guard. Three coworkers and I agreed to share it. The problem was actually getting the water. Everyone else received their drinks while we waited. We had to ask three separate times before it finally arrived, nearly 20 minutes later. By then, we were all thirsty, and splitting a single bottle meant each of us got barely half a glass. As for the food, I ordered the lunch special: penne with chicken and broccoli. I managed only a few bites before giving up. The dish was swimming in grease, which completely overpowered any other flavor. It tasted unseasoned and lacked any real depth. A coworker offered me a slice of his stromboli, but unfortunately it wasn't much better. The vegetables were undercooked, and the overall flavor was bland. Between the slow service, confusing drink situation, and disappointing food, this was not a place I'd return to or recommend
