After reading a lot of positive reviews about their "amazing" roast beef, a coworker and I decided to give this place a shot. I was shocked walking in at lunchtime, and seeing absolutely nobody else in the place. It was a lot cleaner than the reviews all claimed. The people working inside were super friendly. Ordered a large roast beef sub online, with cheese sauce, toasted and buttered - $11. This was a completely disappointing sandwich. The roast beef, while tender, was completely bland. Both my coworker and I searched our office for condiments to try and give this thing some actual flavor. There was a very tiny smidge of cheese sauce on it - if there had been a generous amount, this might have became a slammin' sammie. I couldn't even detect whether it was actually toasted and buttered or not. I ended up throwing half of my half of it away. I had very high hopes for Amiel's, but they went unmet.

I absolutely LOVE this place. They have the best subs I have had. I was in the area visiting friends and they mentioned this place. They went on and on about the bread and how they butter it through a machine. So we stopped in and gave it a try. This place has been around for YEARS The atmosphere is that of an old school diner. Large tattered bench seats, tables and block glass adorns the decor. Bright colors and a quick friendly vibe The lines are long as ever during lunch time. There are people coming in and waiting patiently.. The menu is pretty straight forward there are select named subs or build your own. I opted for a Turkey and Roast Beef They offer basic topics and seasonings We ate inside and ended up having the greatest conversation with the owner. He was changing light bulbs and just chatting away. He offered us free cookies The staff was very helpful and friendly If you are ever in Rochester and want a quick simple lunch ..this is a great choice

I do love this place whenever I make it out to Rochester. At some point during the drive, I crave a sub from here. The new COVID-19 measures need some work. Ordering online was simple enough. Even when plugging in "ASAP" the wait for a couple of subs was about 45 minutes, but knowing they can be busy and it was a Saturday, I accepted it would take some time. They give you an option of curbside pickup with your order number and you describe your vehicle. We got there, parking lot and waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. Another car pulled up beside us, and they must have also been waiting for their order. The funny thing is no one was even coming out of the side door where they do curbside orders. We waited and waited and waited again. There were a lot of employees inside and a bit too many people in line putting in orders, which is why curbside is ideal in the first place. The person next to us nearly sideswiped us pulling up to the door the second they saw an employee near it. The employee comes up to their window with an order, they exchange words, but it wasn't their order. It was ours. But instead of bringing it to us, he took it back inside, got their order instead, and then never came back out. Only after calling did another employee bring out the order, by then, we had waited another 45 minutes on top of however long it took to fill the order, and our order wasn't completely right, one of the sizes was wrong, and the hot sub was cold and oily. So yeah, they definitely need to improve the curbside service.

BEST SUBS in Rochester now has awesome outside seating!!!

Amiel's Subs are quite possibly the best subs in Rochester (in my opinion). It's a shame there's only 2 locations. But I digress...... Bread is baked fresh daily. Toppings are plentiful, and unlike a some "other" sub shops, they have Salt and Pepper as an option. Not sure why other places won't do this. Also they have a great selection of chips and drinks. On the drink's front, they have Cream Soda's. Mmmmmm. Also fountain drinks, though that's turned off during Covid. Outdoor seating and an always friendly staff. If you want a tasty, large, and amazing sub, you can't do much better than Amiel's.

Amazing roast beef. They shave it fresh for each sub. I would rank it as one of the best roast beef subs I've ever had. I ordered the Italian assorted. It was decent but the roastbeef was out of this world (I stole some bites from the BF). It was tender, juicy and extra tasty. I will definitely order that in the future. They butter and toast the bread, then add the meat and toppings. They have plain, seeded and wheat as bread options. I wish they would add everything bread but that's about the only thing I was looking for that they didn't have. They have all the usual toppings and condiments. They even have a Cajun spice that you can add to your sub. 100% recommend the roast beef.

We have loved this place for a long time. When you want a good REAL roast beef sandwich this is where you should go. We get the beef-a-miel but one day I will try a sub because everyone I talk to raves about them as well!

Bread for submarine sandwich is freshly made and had that unique crunch . Limited choice of veggies just tomato, lettuce, onions, sweet and hot peppers plus dressing. Chips and bottle of water runs around ten bucks! Sometimes buffet is good for variety at Golden Corral next door. Anyway it was good experience.

Unfortunately this place keeps getting sued by patrons that slip on their way in and out of the restaurant, or the bathrooms. It's obvious that these lawsuit-happy locals are not really hurt. They are simply making "Amiel" out of minor injuries. So sad. What to get: Roast Beef on a sub with everything, toasted buttered, including peppers, dressing, etc. What else: Dan Akroyd's worn underwear. If it were called Apiel's then it would lobby for Death Row inmates to be "let off" and it would help them "get off" in all kinds of ways. At the very least it would extend their lives by 10 years using a series of apiels to delay the execution. By the way I am very opposed to the death penalty, for the record. I feel that nobody has the right to take anybody's life. This place has some of the better sandwiches in Rochester. As long as you eat it right when you get it, the Roast Beef sandwich will rock your world. It's what Arby's always wanted to be, until it realized it was a national chain and simply couldn't be. If it were dirt cheap, then it could be renamed Adiel's for all the great diels you can get. Oh wait, it is dirt cheap. So many it should be. But let's tell you more about this sandwich. The Roast Beef on the sandwich is good, the bread is excellent, toasted buttered improves it, and it's all the bits and bobs that they put on your sandwich (lettuce tomato onions dressing oil peppers cheese mustard) that really makes it work. It's an explosion of flavours in your mouth, kind of like what used to happen when I'd pleasure my ex boyfriend down south. If it were Ahiel's, then it would be a bad guy on McMahon's wrestling show. I wonder which one is the bad guy these days. Speaking of which (sarcasm), I want to mention The Rock in this review. I wonder how I can work him in there (I'm usually very good at working things in there, if you know what I mean). The service is excellent and fast, much like a girl I know in Rochester, and the prices are rock bottom even moreso than Dwayne Johnson's protein powder (sarcasm). Get on down here and give it a try if you haven't. Don't expect culinary genius, just expect a very delicious juicy sandwich that will make you wonder why you ever entered an Arby's. Unless you have never entered Arby's in which case I congratulate you, friend. And if it were Afiel's then every employee would cop afiel of every customer as they walk through the door looking for Adiels, leading to even more lawsuits, molestation and harrassment and making Amiels out of the harmless molestation, meaning the employees would be Ahiels, and that in turn would lead to imprisonment, which would lead to Apiels, which would tie everything together perfectly, except for The Rock. Hmm. Has The Rock ever molested anyone?

I drive by this place all the time and had no idea it was even there. So glad a co worker told me about it! Only been here once so far but my God am I madly in love with their subs! Haha. I'm a toasted sub type of person and apparently dibellas cant do that but this place can and will! They use a butter roller before toasting so it's the perfect crunch and adds that extra flavor! It's kinda set up like subway. You walk up to the counter and go down the line of things you want on your sub. They have way more to choose from of course. All the bread is right there to choose from as well. It looks like it was baked all in house so fresh bread daily I'm assuming! Tasted fresh! Since I have never been here before I ordered a small one. The portion size was perfect and the price was cheap! They have a wonderful assortment of chips, cookies and drinks to choose from walking to the check our counter. The staff were extremely bubbly and talkative. I loved it! I didnt eat in but from the few minutes of being in there it was a great experience. The place was clean and kept nice as well! Highly reccomend grabbing lunch here if you're in the mood for a delicious sub!

Fitting ambiance with large Turkey and Gyro subs.

It's my top choice for a unique chicken sandwich, so it has all the other places beat in that category for sure! Add in the convenience of the Henrietta location, and I think it's now officially my favorite! The chicken is perfect, flavorful, tender, juicy. The breading and toppings are the perfect balance, not too much, but they add the right amount of crunch and flavor. I absolutely love their variety of themed sandwiches, and I enjoy their monthly specials. As a person with lots of allergies, I especially appreciate how accommodating they are. They make everything fresh and are able to modify sandwiches to accommodate allergies. They even have a statement on their online ordering platform confirming that they accommodate all allergen requests! The new Henrietta location is located where Schaller's used to be, so it is well suited to a fast casual restaurant. I love how close this new location is compared to the Penfield location, which means I'll be visiting much more often! This is a must-try! Love this place!
