I found Amigo Tire Shop through a quote search via Yelp; the tire shop was one of the more reasonably priced shops that responded to my request as well as local. The quote I received from the shop was literally half the price of a quote I received from a tire repair shop I have visited before. Other than the storefront being along a trafficky Grand Ave; the entrance is through the alleyway. If not for yelper, Pawel L, a yelper I follow, I would not have known that after scrolling through reviews prior to my visit. From the time I arrived at the shop to the time of my repair, I was taken care of no more than 10 minutes. An experience that surely beat my previous tire repair experience that took hours. And I paid no more than the quoted price I received off of Yelp. Yes indeed I would return to Amigo Tire Shop for future repairs because the overall service I received was fulfilling. Pull in and wait. There is one main guy who spoke English and took my order. They were kinda busy when I pulled up, so I waited about 15 mins-not bad. Flat fixed within another 15 mins. This morning my tire had two flats. Such a shit start to my day. But I found Amigo Tire Shop and it had a high rating online so I drove slowly over there and I'm so glad I did because I was treated kindly and the job was done quick! Under 20 minutes! As a woman, I do get nervous going anywhere that has to deal with my car as I'm afraid of getting finessed and spoken to in a patronizing manner but that was definitely not my experience here. This is my new spot for tire repairs shop. I came here during the winter when my tire had gotten a nail embedded in it. It was close to closing time by the time I got there and there was a line in the alley waiting to get other tires repaired, I was the last car to be serviced and though it was past their closing time, they were kind enough to fit my car in and repair my tire. They were reasonably priced and professional. I would definitely recommend coming here if you need to repair a tire. read more

Friendly staff. There are several tire shops in the area and I tried Amigo on a whim. You need to enter from the alley. I pulled up, got their attention and they went to work. It took less than 20 minutes to plug a tire and get me back on the road. They even gave me the screw that caused the leak. $15 + $5 tip and I was back to work after a productive lunch break on a weekday. I have been coming here for years. Today I waited twenty minutes before they opened, so I could be first. That is how much i liked them. We purchased full sets of tires from them and even stopped using the tire shop that is right next to them, that we used for twenty plus years. Today with me being the first person there and waiting all that time, this lady who the owner explained was a old classmate of his, was able to go right in front of me. I explained that it was bad business, and all he said was sorry and that he is short handed. That is no way an excuse. Just as an FYI, we have 4 cars and 3 daughter that go there too.
