Lunt is super close to my house and I had a blown out sidewall. I went in and was greeted by Nicolas. He dropped everything and came out to check my tire. They didn't have a used one in stock but he was able to get me a new cheap one the same day. I came back the next morning, and Nicolas once again dropped everything and got the new tire on in like 5 minutes. He drilled the lug nuts on and even rechecked the tightness with a hand tool. The first time I ever dealt with Nico and his son was after my car took a bullet on Christmas eve in 2019. A couple days later I tried to drive it, not knowing that the bullet went into the tire, and the tire went flat really fast. I was on the rim by a block away. Since they don't include spare tires anymore, other places were telling me I had to get my car towed in. But Nico was so close he sent his son to put a spare on my car so I could drive it in, and then got me into a used tire since it was all I could afford at the time. He treated me like a neighbor first, customer second. And ever since then, he's my go to. They are honest, do good work, and will let you know all the options. And I've needed some major help since then. I'm honestly so sad that they are leaving Rogers Park. It's going to be a tough decision on whether to try someone new, or just make the hour drive. I'm so happy people like Nikko exist in the world. He is an honest and hard working mechanic and I trust him. I am not a car expert and he knows that, but I feel he always looks out for me and advises me on my car in the best way he knows how. Like most people, I am not extremely knowledgeable when it comes to cars, but Nikko has managed to meet me where I am at and explain things very clearly. Late in the day on a Friday, in the middle of Covid, these guys dropped what they were doing and worked their asses off trying to get my truck off a flatbed, my rim off my truck, and fix my tire (I was there because I had a flat AND a stripped lug nut). It took two men close to an hour from the time the flatbed hit their lot. They gave me a new lug (chrome wrapped that matched my truck), a spare in case it happened again, and a bill that was less than what the lugnuts would have cost me. read more

We took our car in for a brake inspection. The owner was very accommodating with our busy work schedule and allowed us to drop it off before hours and pick up after hours. During the day he communicated with us what needed to be done to the brakes and also found the tires needed to be replaced. Everything was completed and we picked up the car the next day. Had a problem with the mass airflow sensor and it was able to be diagnosed and fixed on short notice. With my bad luck I also had my battery reach its end of life the next weekend so that it wouldn't hold a charge for more than one ignition, and Nikko sent someone over to give me a jump so I could drive it to the shop and get the battery replaced. Great work, and excellent communication. I like communicating by email since it's easier to pass along IDs and numbers and that sort of thing, and attach images and videos. Nikko was one of the few autoshop owners I've conducted business with that deal with this well and quickly, so that is an extra plus. The work was well-done and reasonably priced. Would recommend this place, since there are so many others where they're just looking to screw you for a one-time high price rather than think intelligently in the long-term and retain a loyal customer. I was looking for an honest mechanic close to home that would help me get my car ready to pass the emission's test and someone nearby led us to Lunt Auto & Tire and I'm happy he did! Nikko, one of the owners, told me what parts my car needed to get repaired and I left my car one day because I know it takes time doing the repairs and next morning it was ready to drive. Next day, I passed the test! After making sure it was clear to go and no sensors were showing! He was very nice and told me what else I needed to get done on my car soon (tires), so I could see he cares about his clients. Other mechanics wanted to charge me over 300 dollars to just delete the codes and "pass" the test (no guaranty) but that wouldn't have fixed the underlying problem. One mechanic even told me 700. But with nikko it was a good deal! He even showed me the part he changed and told me why it was important to make the repairs. In the long run it would be beneficial for my car.
