I just recently transferred apartments in the Amli park Broadway building. The move itself had some bumps but nothing that the Amli team couldn't fix. They had their maintenance team up and fixing things right away. They kept me in the loop the entire time and provided excellent service. We lived in this building for a year before searching for a new neighborhood--Downtown Long Beach has been hit hard by the pandemic, and hasn't quite recovered. We chose the area for proximity to work and overall value--parking, outdoor space, and amenities. We found the building to be quite loud with inadequate sound proofing. Prior reviews from about 5 years ago comment on construction noise. That is no longer the case, but street facing units have a lot of street noise at all hours (cannot comment on courtyard or rear facing units, but these tend to have less light). Our final blow was the move out statement--many things which are considered normal wear and tear were charged to us, such as minor scuffs on walls and cleaning after we thoroughly cleaned prior to handing over the unit. Documentation photos provided was low resolution and distorted. read more

When we were up for lease renewal they wanted to raise the rent There are a few things about Amli that made it very challenging to live there. The biggest issue was that if you have a unit facing Broadway, it is very noisy. The police and fire trucks are constantly going down Broadway with their sirens blaring at all hours of the night. Further the library has a large unhoused encampment which is also very noisy. I realize that someone from Amli is going to claim it's an urban environment but the noice makes it hard to sleep. Also, when moving out make sure you take videos and pictures of the condition of the unit. They will desperately attempt to charge you for normal wear and tear in the amount of over $1000. One of our windows was leaking and created some water damage (it also damaged a tablet), this was reported and fixed but now they are attempting to charge us for that too. Avoid this building if you can, there are nice and cheaper ones in the area like the Aster. read more

Saying farewell to this joint as I am moving to another city, a lot of great memories, a really enjoyable apartment and community. I will truly miss it, despite the challenges the neighborhood has faced with shuttering businesses, rising crime, and drug abuse in and around the area. As promised I am updating my review upon positive and timely proaction by the Amli team. After my last review and complaint about a recurring water issue it has finally been addressed and fully taken care of by the Amli team. I am very happy with the outcome and am grateful to everyone involved. I can finally wash my dishes in hot sink water! That was the only issue I have had living here and now it's resolved. I am still waiting for a credit I was told I'd get for the trouble but I trust they will get that credit back hopefully soon. Thanks to the Amli team. read more

Finding a good apartment is like trying to find a well trying to find a good anything. You have to do the research the leg work, and even make many phone calls. One of the places in my hunt for a good place was AMLI Park Broadway great location, good reviews, parking, gym, ect. You name it this place has it unfortunately the customer service is less than desirable. I've been wanting to make an appointment to stop by and have a proper tour, but my Saturday of running around lead me to being near the location. I figured it wouldn't hurt to stop by to see if maybe they could fit me into the day. Well to my surprise I was left feel like a burden then a future tent. I found parking easily and was walked to the leasing off, the young man working was already assisting a couple, maybe a father daughter, either way he was busy with them. So I stood myself to the side and waiting my turn. He finished up with them but I still stay put allowing him the opportunity to close things off. When it was finally my turn it was a rushed encounter, I did not even get his name nor was I offered a seat. I was simply told "No studios available, and that he has a one bed room to look at but he's has a appointment." I was being told all of this while he was more interested in his phone then simply eye contact. Do not get me wrong I get it everyone is busy and I wasn't expecting him to roll out a red carpet, but a simple, "Hello my name is how can I help you?" This could potentially be my home and I'd like to start off good with the front office. I'm big on first impressions and this was a sour one. Hey, I'll find another place just as easily as they'll find another tent. To his defense the couple or father daughter in front of me seemed happy with his derived so maybe I caught him at absolutely the worse time. The stop wasn't a total waste I got to check out the out beach library. Yeah that was another bonus they are across the street for the library. Aww well, I'll move on. Moved out after 2.5 years here. Updating my review. If you'd like to live around loud neighbors that don't follow the local Long Beach laws, this is the place for you. It was great the first year here then it quickly went downhill. I feel bad for the maintenance staff and most of the front office staff as they were all great. In our 2.5 years here we dealt with: multiple off leash dogs attacking our dogs that were on leash, multiple homeless people hopping the fence and enjoying our patio or somehow working out in the gym. Neighbors letting their dogs piss and shit anywhere they please and not picking up after them. Horrible god awful neighbors in the hallways at all hours of the night on the phone loudly, letting their kids run up and down the hallways, or letting their doodles or small rat dogs bark on the balconies for hours on end, ESPECIALLY early in the morning or while you're working from home. The straw that broke the camels back for us was the 4,000 month rent while 50 feet away a homeless person was in the back alley smoking crack. All in all, I wish we would have moved out here after this first year, my review would have stayed the same! read more

If you're looking to live in downtown Long Beach this is the best place to live in terms of safety, cleanliness, amenities, and staff. The people who work here are wonderful - Fidel, Daisy, and Alex are all awesome!!! They truly go above and beyond and we will miss them after living here for 3.5 years. If you have a maintenance request it's sometimes completed within a few hours, but max 24 hours. The pool, jacuzzi, and gym are great. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Also there is a security patrol at night throughout the building and parking garage doors are always closed. read more

This is a review that is loooooooooong overdue! I moved in this apartment complex September 2021and from the day I toured the complex until now has been nothing short of AMAZING! I have lived in many apartments complexes and this one is by far the best one I have ever lived in! The icing on the cake for me is the service technician FIDEL! ! ! Fidel is beyond AMAZING! ! ! He is so friendly, professional, and really goes out of his way to lend a helping hand! He is very knowledgeable and any time I have a service request I know he is going to come with a smile on his face, encouraging words, and answers to any questions I throw his way. GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE he is definitely deserving of it! ! ! It's people like him, of course the AMAZING office staff, and the GREAT amenities that makes me recommend where I live to anyone I know in the market of looking for a new place to stay! I rarely leave bad reviews, but I need to be honest with my experience at this building. Moving into this building was a huge step for me, mainly because I was coming from Chicago and it was my first time moving away from home. Initially I thought this was the perfect building. The building had beautiful amenities and the unit itself was pretty big. I moved into a two bedroom which was around 3500$. I'll list out some of my experiences: 1. When I first moved in, everything was brand new, so it's understandable if we ran into some issues with the apartment here and there. For me, the sink pipe in the master bedroom wouldn't stop dripping water, the vents were making rattling noises, air circulation was terrible in the master bedroom so it was always really hot compared to the rest of the apartment, and the window screens were not installed properly. Most of those problems were fixed minus the pipe and master bedroom issue. We ended up sleeping in the 2nd bedroom because it was significantly cooler. Paying 3500$ for an apartment, you would think that you would be able to sleep in the master bedroom comfortably right? 2. The location may seem great, but there is so much construction going on across the street behind the library that it gets really loud early in the morning. Unfortunately the windows are thin so you can pretty much hear everything going on outside. That's obviously something the building can't control, but you can control this by not moving here or if it's your only option then choose a unit that isn't facing Broadway. 3. Move out process.... I've worked as a leasing agent in Chicago and the agreement as far as cleaning fees is always that basic wear and tear on an apartment is the landlord responsibility. Maybe that's different in California. You live in a 'luxurious' apartment and leave the unit in almost perfect condition, but you still have to pay the cleaning fees. I made the mistake of spending hours cleaning the entire apartment before then telling me that they're going to still charge us anyway.. smh TIP: Don't clean your apartment when you move out lol 4. I had a dog so the master bedroom rug had to be replaced since my dog had a few accidents, so I understand that it had to be replaced. However, the dog was never allowed in the 2nd bedroom. During the move out process, we were told the range of rug replacements and the range was up to 700$. I said alright and signed this move out agreement. However, they came back and sent a statement saying I owed 900+.. The building replaced the second bedroom carpet and charged us for that replacement as well. This was not our responsibility to pay since it didn't need to be replaced in the first place, but they charged us anyways. After some discussion, AMLI agreed to charge us half the amount which we are thankful for. I will go ahead and add some pictures of how the unit looked after I was done cleaning and you can see that it was in great condition and they charged us over 600+ in move out fees. 5. Management staff are not friendly nor organized. Learned this the hard way, but don't try to visit them during or around their lunch hours. They will make known that they can't help you because they're at lunch. People that are trying to move in the building or waiting for their ID or to borrow a cart have waited an hour waiting for them to come back. 6. Elevators.... There is only one elevator at the main entrance, so it takes forever wait especially during busy times. 7. Package room: Not an efficient process since you need to get a code to get into the room and most delivery people only use package to get into the room and throw the rest of the boxes into the room so everyone else needs to ask management for a code. 8. Price: For me, it's important that I get my moneys worth and this just wasn't one of those things where I got what I paid for. I am currently living in a building where I am paying a little bit more, but the management and everything is MORE than what I paid for, so I know that my expectations aren't too high and what I expected was the bare minimum. Overall, obviously wasn't the best experience. I don't like to leave bad reviews, but I need to be honest and I have had a lot of people message me about my living experience in my current building, so I know people really pay attention to reviews about residential buiIdings. The most important thing I love about living here for almost 4 years, is the maintenance staff. Fidel responds almost immediately and takes care of things quickly and looks around for other things that may need fixing. For instance he fixed my stove clock and I didn't realize the unit could be replaced. That was on top of the 3 other things I requested. If you're sitting here reading these you were like me seven months ago. Trying to find which building in downtown I wanted to call home. I found that most reviews mentioned the maintenance guy named Fidel. Although I wasn't necessarily concerned about the staff when on my quest I can now say a responsive and great maintenance man is what sets the Amli apart from the rest! I have put in 2 requests for maintenance and Fidel arrived the same day or the next and fixed my issues on the spot. My last run in with Fidel happened after my boyfriend threw away a bag of clothes he thought was trash. Fidel assured me we would find the bag after I was in a bit of a panic and assisted me personally with rummaging through the big dumpster. Yes, the Amli has a great location and great amenities but the staff is what sets them apart! Thank you Fidel! read more

I lived here for a year and truly enjoyed it. The amenities such as pool and spa are always clean as is the common areas of the building and a spacious gym with great street views. There are many apartment buildings going up in Long Beach. Most will likely be able to match these amenities, but what really distinguishes these buildings are services, like maintenance, management office responsiveness, and cleanliness. These areas is where AMLI Broadway shines. They have a live-in maintenance manager. Fidel, who also works for maintenance has gone above and beyond every time. Not only has he responded immediately to requests, but has also made suggestions on things that need attention that I overlooked, for instance, the refrigerator ice maker filter. They also come around regularly to change air conditioning filters and are always cleaning the common areas. I personally love the location, although some may find the closeness to the fire department and Pike Street bars a bit too noisy for them. The management company has been responsive and the AMLI app makes it convenient to communicate. I will miss this building but most of all, the staff. read more

My wife and I just moved in here May 1st. We absolutely adore the place. Great location right next to the blue line, walking distance to aquarium of the pacific, shoreline village, queen mary etc. The building is still a work in progress but they have a free month promotion (2 months free if you sign a longer lease) to make up for the fact that some things aren't finished yet (pool, and courtyard). But everything else seems to be finished in our immediate building in phase 1. The gym is amazing. The designer kitchens in the apartment are fantastic. They have a "maker space" where you can do arts and crafts with all sorts of supplies. This space also has a full sized kitchen so you can host dinner parties. The maker space also has a special spray painting room. Never heard of this as an "amenity" before! Simply cool! Anyways, that's just the building. The staff has been extremely helpful, responds to emails very quickly, and has made our move go quite smoothly I must say. They also have a 48 hour maintenance guarantee which is awesome. Thankfully we haven't had to submit a maintenance request yet. But I'm sure when we do they will take care of it quickly. They have community events all the time too which is great. It's a premium place. "Luxury" is definitely an appropriate word but it's WORTH IT. You get what you pay for. My wife and I both work long hard days and so it's nice to come home to what lately has felt like a resort. Can't wait until the pool and roof top lounge are completed. Our toilet was clogged, and Fidel responded to our maintenance request that morning! Not only did he unclog the toilet quickly, he unclogged the tub drain that had started to drain slowly. He noticed many other issues and fixed them right away too including the leaky shower head and loose door handle on the front door! A nightmare-type experience from a very messy move-in to a very unfriendly move-out. NOISE: - Constant construction noise (from behind the library) - it gets really loud early in the morning (7am or earlier!). - Extremely poorly insulated - you will hear your upstairs neighbors walking around and all the noise from the building common areas. UNFRIENDLY and INCOMPETENT STAFF: Leasing office staff are not friendly or organized. Unwilling to help. They are nice as long as you leave them alone. NICE AMENITIES but it's a privilege (and not your right) they will tell you... Great gym but was probably the first one to close in the area and the last to open in June (before they closed it again in July). When open, you could access it 9-5pm... because the staff does not work after 5pm.. If you complain, they will tell you that per your rental contract, you have no rights to any amenities... DISRUPTIVE REPAIRS/ WALK-INS Constant repairs and frequent visits to your unit without adequate notice. E.g. email on 9/25 (Friday) to tell you that they may enter on 9/28 (Monday) to "complete a project" and "all walk-in closets need to be 100% cleared out". In general, feel prepared to be told that the staff is doing what they feel is right and safe for you and for them (so basically, for them). To avoid.. read more

The maintenance team here at AMLI is awesome. I had a few minor issues here and there throughout my stay and they always came and fixed those in less than 24 hours. Most recently, I put in a request for a microwave oven broken handle. I submitted the request late at night and the next morning Fidel came and quickly fixed that. While fixing the broken handle, Fidel proactively caught an issue with my dishwasher which was making some strange noises. I bet the average worker would have heard those noises and ignored it since that's what not they were called in for, but that's not Fidel. He ran to storage to check whether they had the part in stock and came back to fix it. Thank you Fidel! read more

Location is good and most of the staff are friendly with a few exceptions. Not really any quiet units in the building but that's what you get living in downtown LB. Most of the neighbors are respectful but there are definitely some young people who party a lot. The amenities were nice when they were open. read more

We can't wait to move in!!! My boyfriend and I spotted this complex after visiting a few other local apartments. After showing up without an appointment, not knowing if it was open, knowing anything about this facility... or if it was within our price range... we were COMPLETELY blown away. Brittany was incredible. Stopped what she was doing. Spent ample time walking us through the apartment and ALL amenities. Needless to say we canceled all afternoon appointments. My boyfriend, dogs, and I moved in to AMLI back in May and it has been nothing but amazing since! Brittany is so amazing down in the office - always smiling and happy to help. She also plans thoughtful resident events for us! The move in process was very smooth and you can't beat the amenities! Everyone is super friendly to one another. Our favorite thing is how walkable this neighborhood is. The dogs love it because there are lots of friendly people and pups around and there's a photo booth and wash station just for them!
