Best complex I've stayed in after living in many different states and different neighborhoods in Long Beach. The manager Tim is very on top of making sure him and his staff have a safe and clean apartment building. He gave me THE BEST walkthrough when looking at apartments and was very honest about Linden Lofts versus other nearby apartments. I absolutely felt safe whatever time I came home because of the extra mile he goes with security there. No issues with bugs or things broken in the entertainment room/grilling area. The best was having Amazon packages delivered to your door. Everyone that works there is beyond friendly. Sad to have left but I'd say the best one bedroom apartments to move into in Long Beach. Lived here for 3 years and loved it. The on-site management (both Tim and Consuelo live in the complex) are friendly and professional, and the staff do a great job maintaining the units as well as taking care of packages for residents. This place is pet friendly which was also a big win for me. The location is hard to beat, with much less noise than the surrounding city and cafés/music shops/salons and farmers markets nearby. This was the first time I'd lived in Long Beach and I genuinely enjoyed coming back to this apartment. Minor cons: The parking is a lottery system so I did wait a little bit until I got a spot but you've got alternatives nearby. The elevator can get busy at times as well, but that's a minor inconvenience. Both Tim and Consuelo clearly care about the apartment community, and take steps to have events and such for folks to get to know each other. I moved out for more space and more natural light, but for the rent and space I was more than satisfied. So I've lived in the Linden Lofts for 2 years now going on 3 very soon. I can honestly say I love living here the "dream team" (managers) are great and very personable. They take pride in the building since I've been here there have been tons of upgrades and changes for the better! New gym, game room, bike room, (makes me want a bike at times ) new flooring, upgrade units, heat-resistant windows and sliding doors to come and exterior paint and I'm sure much more to come. Overall the Lofts have come along way. Didi I mention they have a kick-ass maintenance guy (David) I can always count on him to make my mornings with his friendly greetings To get straight to the point if you want to live in a building where the managers actually care and want to give you a great living experience then the Lofts are for you. I lived here for 3 years and I can honestly say this was a wonderful place to live. I loved my apartment so much and my neighbors were great. It was clean and the cleaning staff was always very nice. The maintenance guys were amazing and our friends and helped us with anything we needed. Management was all about safety, maintaining order and a good quality of life. I think they would help us if we needed anything within reason. Tim and Consuelo made us feel at home. I loved how dog-friendly this place is which can be hard to find. I loved having a parking space, Rent was some of the cheapest in the are we even had community parties! I got to live at the Linden Lofts for over a year and I'm so glad I did. I've moved quite a bit in my life and it's one of my favorite places I've gotten to experience. I lived on the outside of the building facing south (towards DTLB) and it was AWESOME. The view, the breeze, the huge balcony. PROS - So close to downtown Long Beach! Just a quick walk and you have abundant restaurants, bars, the beach, and things to do. - The breeze (if you live on the outside) is amazing. You can smell the ocean and fresh air. - Parking! (It is $100 a month though, there's usually a waiting list.) - Never had to make a maintenance request. Every appliance I had worked wonderfully, no issues in the kitchen or bathroom. - Consuelo and David are SO friendly! And great people in general. - Dogs, dogs everywhere! Perfect for the person with a non-standard dog breed. - You get a GIANT balcony. Dreamy. CONS - Parking! If you don't have a spot in the garage, it's a hassle. - No AC. You won't need it often, but for about one month towards the end of the summer, you WILL need it. - Neighbors. It's an apartment building, you're gonna hear them. - Sometimes the dog run and stairwell smell like dog urine, probably because there's a lot of dogs in the building. You get over it. Linden Lofts is a place I am happy to have called my home. Starting from the top, the complex itself is secured and locked. I never had a moment where I felt unsafe walking around at various times of the day. The apartment was the perfect size, and had everything I needed. The view from my balcony was amazing! I positioned my couch to always view the sun set over the Vincent Thomas Bridge. Linden Lofts is located central to everything I needed. I was always a walking distance to the grocery stores, restaurants, coffeeshops, and the rest of Downtown Long Beach. Of course, half of where you choose to rent has to do with management. This place never disappointed. Repairs for the apartment were always the same day. The management was always friendly and professional. For example, one of the managers, Tim, is an honest and reliable person all around. He never hesitated to help me and always had a great conversation ready from the moment I entered the complex. Tim constantly made sure the apartment was at its best. I'm happy to have made this place my home, and I absolutely recommend Linden Lofts to anyone looking to move to Downtown Long Beach! read more

I can see the potential is this building, though the short tour did cause some slight disappointment. Pros include: great community amenities, effective mail room, large, private building, small grass area for pets, and wonderful staff. Cons: parking could be more accessible, the apartment I toured had very few windows (little natural light), the building smelled slightly sour, and the hardwood floors were pretty creaky. I could see myself making a home out of an apartment in this building (if I were still looking), thought I'd need my unit to have more windows, some skylights, and higher square footage, as the brick walls make the space feel smaller than it is. I am a former tenant at the Linden Lofts. I had a great experience the 2 years that I lived there. Staff was always friendly and helpful. If I ever had any maintenance requests, it was taken care of immediately. I am a single woman and lived there by myself and I felt very safe (you can only get in the building with a key), my amazon package were always safely delivered to my apartment, I didn't have to worry about someone stealing a package. I enjoyed the summer concerts that the building would have in the summer. Location was great. It was perfect for my lifestyle. You are walking distance to restaurants, nightlife and the beaches. It was very convenient while I trained for my 70.3 Ironman. I was near bike trails and would run on the beach trail. I don't have a dog but the building was very dog friendly. I lived at Linden Lofts for nearly 3 years and couldn't recommend the building more. Centrally located in downtown Long Beach your close to everything including the highway. The units are affordable and competitive for the area and the building offers fantastic amenities including mail delivery, lounge room and a small but effective gym. Garage parking spaces are limited but street parking and other local garages are ample. Management on sight Tim and Consuella were responsive and on top of problems that do pop up from time to time including major upgrades to a previously outdated security system. Overall the building is safe, affordable and nicely located making it ideal for downtown city living. read more

After living here for over 2 years, I can give an honest review: it's a great place to call "home". The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise. The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day. The workout Gym is open 24//7. The patio BBQ area, TV / Game room is an added plus. Modern laundry room with USB plugs and payrange app (no need for change). I have lived at Linden Lofts for a little over 3 years now. Ever since Tim took over this place has gone uphill! He has made so many building improvements and is always around when you need him. Consuelo and Dave, who are also on the management staff are amazing as well. They have done a great job to create a sense of community here and they even host fun events for all of the tenants. I have loved living here and I especially love all of the dogs I get to pet on a daily basis. I also appreciate that problem tenants are handled accordingly and that I always feel safe where I live. The roaches are OUT OF CONTROL in this building. If you want to live in a friendly building, with nice people, management that fixes nothing and allows a cockroach infestation of epic proportions than this is the place for you. Absolutely awful. Moved in November of 2015 because the rent was decent for downtown long beach and they were pet friendly. The old management (Marvin and Jim) was also very friendly and attentive; it was easy to see they really cared about the tenants. The only few complaints I had were that the laundry machines provided did a terrible job cleaning clothes, parking is $100 a month, they shut down the water at least once a week for maintenance, and there is a courtyard and storage in the garages that were suppose to be remodelled months ago and that's never happen. On top of that I had an expensive bike rack stolen off my car from the garage. The two managers that worked here quit because the property owner(s) jacked up almost all the tenants rent (some as much as $300, and at the time I hadn't been living at Linden Lofts for even three months). Since then I've talked to 6 different tenants who have either moved out or looking to move out. When the rent increased I approached the new manager about moving to an appartment on a lower floor level in the same building to save money. She couldn't have cared less, didn't even try to work towards a solution with me. Thats not to mention that she is rarely even in the office during business hours. New laundry machines were installed that cost more, still do a terrible job, and now leave the clothes smelling funny. I feel bad for potential tenants I've seen touring the complex. If you're considering Linden Lofts look elsewhere. This place is a waste of time and money, and I can't wait to move. read more

Our experience living here has been super pleasant. Tim and Consuelo, the on-site property managers, were very personable and took care of any needs we had in a timely manner. They were accommodating in every sense, from getting packages from the mail room, to fixing a clogged kitchen sink. Tim was even so kind as to help me install a bathroom cabinet when we first moved in, and held my cat in his office when he accidentally got out. These type of gestures really stood out to me, and made me feel like the property managers had our backs. Also, another really great thing about living here is that they hold these beautiful, intimate musical concerts in the courtyard for all the tenants to enjoy. They also seem to be continually modernizing the units, and seem to really take pride in keeping the building clean and comfortable to live in. read more

If i could put negative stars i would. First of all let me start off by saying I've lived in Long Beach my whole life. so the bad parking and loud neighbors is something I've grown accustomed to. Here we go: The Pros: 1. You're fairly close to Pine street so you save money on an Uber 2. There is no number "2" the location is the only good thing about this place. The Cons: 1. When i first moved in they pushed my move in date back 4 days because they still needed to get the apartment ready, however i let it slide even though it was the day before Thanksgiving and i had to be out of town that weekend. I figured if they took more time then the apartment wouldn't look sloppy. I was wrong. The paint looked clumpy and my kitchen cabinet doors were crooked. 2. They charge $100 a month for parking which is such a huge rip off but i have to pay it because there is NEVER parking. The $100 is suppose to give you peace of mind because your car is safe in a parking garage but I've already had something stolen from my Fiance's car so...There goes that. 3. I've lived here for 3 months and they raised the rent $150 dollars (apparently the $100 they're taking from me for peace of mind parking wasn't enough) 4. The manager is hardly ever in the office. Have an issue? Need your package that was delivered? Too bad. You have to come back during the 2 hours she decides to work. 5. They are always shutting off the water. 6. Lock outs aren't considered emergencies. So if you lock yourself out on a Friday night you just have to sit outside until working hours on Monday i guess (presuming she's working that day" Bottom line in the 5 months I've lived here I've seen 8 people move out. We have been living here for about 1 year and 5 months. We were one of the few that moved in and are still here when it was in transition of updating (A LOT of Construction noises haha) bringing in new tenants, etc. We've moved within the building (to a newer unit) twice, and yes our rent was raised as well but with a 30 day notification, it wasn't sprung up on us. So we have a bit of insight of how the building is and how we are still living here despite certain claims on Yelp review. Overall, it's home. I would like to first address the rent raise: It's reasonable. When living in a Metropolitan area, when comparing prices to other places they're all in the same price range. It fluctuates, that's life. I do agree that if it gets out of hand when it's raised, I'd be upset. Like I said above, our rent was raised and it was reasonable. Why? Well I looked up the prices in the area, even near traffic circle, Belmont heights, and they're all within the same price, though I feel like I'm getting the better deal where I live. "The better deal": All of us that live in the building have our own balconies/outdoor area, near a grocery store, within walking distance of all the great places and attractions in DTLB, the option to have dogs and cats, garage space, packages are set in the closet or given to manager, We have an intercom box, a lobby, laundry room that you have the option of using quarters or paying through your phone, on-site maintenance, and on-site manager. Now about the "old" on-site manager(s): We first moved in when it was Marvin and Jim. Marvin and Jim were and are great. Marvin was the "Main" on-site manager and Jim was the acting on-site manager when Marvin wasn't around or off regular hours. Jim at anytime 24 hours a day, if you had locked yourself out, he'll help you get in. If you had a noise complaint 11pm at night about someone being too loud? All you had to do was call/text and he would nip that in the butt by going to said loud unit and speak with them. It was wonderful but Jim was probably tired and rightfully so! When Marvin was transferred to another building, Jim was leaving as well and he was ecstatic to get some rest and I don't know where he went but he was happier than my boyfriend and I have ever seen him, who knows? We will miss it but it wasn't a normal thing, go check out other properties and see if they have a 24 hour "Jim." It's unlikely haha. New On-Site Manager: People have different feelings about Consuelo. I get that people work different hours and the hours posted on the office doesn't work within their schedule to pick up packages, etc. but she's very reasonable if you work with her. Call or e-mail and don't be passive aggressive, address the issue to her. Examples: We went out of town a few months back and my boyfriend e-mailed her if she could set out packages aside in the closet or leave it in our unit, she replied right away and packages were received and safe. We also had an issue due to noises within the building and my boyfriend spoke with her and she addressed the issue swiftly. My boyfriend as you can tell, has spoken to her many many times with certain things that needed to be addressed to casual conversations because he's a very talkative and I'm just quiet and shy with strangers, different personalities as you can see. My overall feelings towards Consuelo-I like her. I mean, come on! she gives helpful information on the "elevator bulletin" about an app to park your car if you don't have a parking space in the garage etc. That's considerate and kind of sweet haha. So I have Cons, not all rainbows and butterflies: The dog poop and smoking. I don't get the whole not picking up your dogs poop but I can't fully blame it on the tenants here, a lot of people own dogs in the neighborhood. Where my boyfriend and I live, we are near the entrance where the intercom is and occasionally, we smell someone smoking right in front of the entrance door. I get the whole down wind smoke that's fine but smoking in front of entrance door when the sign clearly states 20ft from the entrance, is a douche move. It drives me nuts but it happens a handful of times, like 4 times a month or so. It's more so me venting rather it being a huge issue Haha. Plus it could be people that do it in the building to the right of us. Oh and about the garage door people are addressing on here, it's kind of common sense to those who left the door open, take the time to close the garage door. If you don't want strange people in the garage, things taken, vandalized, close it...maybe? To the people that had things happen to their cars and or items, I'm sorry. Yet, it's the other tenants who are were forgetful or careless, all management can do is address it. Plus side, said strangers can't go through garage to lobby unless you have the key. This place and the manager are AWFUL!!!! My rent was raised by $200.00 a month beginning August! Even though our patio space and access was taken away. They built wooden walls in front of our units and blocked off our sunlight and patio access. Also, $100.00 per month is charged for parking. The garage door is left open frequently and homeless people come into the garage and roam. Management even posted notices recently regarding this issue in the elevators. Along with notices regarding how we need to report our neighbors due to the excessive pot smoking that occurs in the building. Want a HIGH just walk down their hallways.... The extreme nauseating smell of dog urine will greet you and your guests each day, when you enter the front south door. Due, to several pet owners allowing their pets urinate there. And, they're raising rents by $200.00 and $150.00 dollars...?! Previous management did a MUCH better job of taking care of the building issues and its tenants. The new manager she is hardly ever in the office and is useless if you have an issue. (Very loud neighbors at all hours, need to pick up a package, etc.) Moving as soon as I can and good riddance to sub-par living and manager. Dealt with bed bugs and cock roaches when I first moved into that "building." This was something foreign to me. Something I hadn't dealt with before. Being eaten alive each night was a nightmare!!!
