That's why I took that opportunity to make the trip up to Spring and go to Ammis kitchen. Honestly the Beef Nihari hits the spot with some their garlic naan. Perfect for those cool nights. i absolutely love Ammi's Kitchen & Grill!! I will love to come back here to sit down and enjoy a meal, the atmosphere is lovely. The food is top tier, high quality, truly authentic Pakistani cuisine- absolutely incredible. Ammi's Signature Chai is deep , rich, full flavor, so so so delicious. i asked if they had only one size because the cup was small size and kadak chai is my favorite.. the lovely lady said she will bring me another cup- she came back with TWO more cups and she did not charge me!! so kind, THANK YOU Ma'am Jazakillahu Khairan LOVE The Aloo Tarkari from the Halwa Puri Thaali plate - i replace the Halwa with extra Aloo Tarkari because it is THAT good. We absolutely love this kitchen and I'm surprised I haven't done a review for it already. We have catered from them before and loved their catered food. The pakistani Chinese fusions are always a hit in our house. We have dined in with them, and every time the food comes out in a timely manner. And even though they're pretty busy, they always seem to get out order, right away which is a big deal to us. We don't like waiting unnecessarily-- I mean, no one does, but we especially do not. We have done take out with them multiple times--we get take out more than anything. We love their Sunday brunch specials. My only complaint would be that I wish that they would do it earlier because 11am is pretty late for us, we want halwa puri earlier than that! As long as they remain professional, have a clean establishment, tasty food and good customer service--we will continue to support this business! read more

I was excited to try this place, but was a bit disappointed. The food comes out as it's finished. My family and i sat at a table and waited for a while, but didn't know you had to go to the register to order AND ask for menus. A lot of the menu is Pakistani so it's hard to know what it is. My sons order came out wrong so his food was the last to come out. The place was really dirty which turned me off completely. Table and restroom were not clean. It was a pretty big bowl of food or so I thought; mostly rice smallest two pieces of chicken that were mostly bone, honestly resembled big chicken wings and a chunk of potato. Alrighty folks, Hidden Hole in the Wall Alert!! Chicken biryani was probably some of the best biryani I have ever tried. Chicken Tandori nicely aromatic and flavorful with that beautiful sus coloring of the chicken for the special flavor that adds that little oomph Samosas a different filling that what i'm used too and containing only a meat mixture but a different variation since it's pakistani cuisine but still very tasty along with its mint chutney which added a refreshing addition to the savoryness of the samosas Garlic Naan simply delicious can't go wrong with its simplistic warm charm and all for a reasonable price!! I had a good doctors visit so I wanted only to stop for a little carry out. I thought it was a Turkish place. Not so, Indian/Pakistani. The food was to my surprise delicious even in carry out form. I had Butter Chicken which looked lethal spice wise but was in fact very manageable. Chicken Biryani was yummy and of course I I had to try the Cheese Naan, very nice. Writing this as I'm waiting for my food. Decided to pick up some dinner from here bc they had Singaporean Rice today. Placed the order over the phone and the lady asked me when I wanted to come. I asked her how soon could it be ready to which she replied 25 mins. I told her I'd come then, but in reality I came about 40 mins later. Food was still not ready when I came. There were other people who were waiting longer than me on their food as well. A man had come in and ordered the same dish that myself and others were waiting on (Singaporean Rice) and he had a seat after placing the order. Not even a minute later, she called him up with his food ready saying that "she gave someone else's order to him" cannot make that up lol. Restaurant itself looks clean, but I got my food to-go so didn't have the dine-in experience. The Singaporean Rice was good, but the malai boti roll is just okay. Probably wouldn't get it again. Hopefully as they continue to grow they can get better at time management, as I was promised it would take 25 mins, but in reality the food took an hour to be ready. read more

Been here a couple of times. Food is very good. My previous review noted some lack of attention to cleanliness but they seem to be doing a much better job on that. There's not much ambience here but the Pakistani food is flavorful and spiced just right. Naans and puris are excellent. Definitely looking forward to returning soon read more

I had friends visiting us from NYC and we took them to "Ammi's Kitchen & Grill" on Friday June 21, 2024 for lunch. we really like the food very delicious and the service was good, stuffs were polite at the counter. Restaurant had AC on with decent room temperature, restroom neat and Clean. Thu the restaurant was busy for lunch time, our food came to our table within a reasonable time. We've been to Ammi's Kitchen a few times and have also gotten items delivered and every SINGLE time, the consistency and authenticity blows me away! From the nihari, biryani, and haleem to the butter naan all the way to the zinger burger and butterfly chicken to the brunch consisting of halwa puri and anda+keemah+paratha. Their beef samosas and chutney are delicious as well! Plus, love that their curries include 1 naan already. The portions are generous and the packaging shows care and thoughtfulness to ensure no spills along the way. The staff is welcoming, the prices are extremely reasonable, and the overall ambiance is very family friendly. I almost forgot to mention how good the chai is as well!! Absolute horror of an experience. Went with my mom and her friends and had the WORST experience with the unprofessional female staff in the front and the rude owner Ali. We placed our orders before going to the restaurant so all the food can be ready when we actually get there since we've always had that issue with them. But regardless of placing the order an hour prior to getting there, the food took an additional 35-40 minutes to be served. Some of us got our food and it got cold by the time everyone else received there. Their social media person had assured us that they were changing the "puri" quantity from 2 to 3 per platter moving forward but when we got our food, there were still only 2. We complained to the girl in the front and at first, she outright said they don't do that, when we showed her the message, she said she'll inform the owner who was in the kitchen. The owner didn't come out until we were leaving and basically started making excuses like "oh our social media person is in Pakistan" etc. like what is this? A chained restaurant with a call center?! He refused to compensate or even apologize and when my mom's friend said "it's fine, we'll just write a honest review", he said "you guys are pulling that "desi" move by threatening to write a review. YES ALI. And here is an HONEST to God review for anyone that still wants to visit this establishment where the owner only cares about his money and ZERO customer satisfaction. I hardly ever say this, but I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. Unprofessional, rude, arrogant and greedy owners and staff members! Had brunch on Saturday. The food was very tasty, two spicy dishes with very different flavors. I am unfamiliar with Pakistani cuisine so I don't remember the names...one was chick peas, one was a potato curry....with their delicious bread, ate every bite....and most of the sweet....a squash pudding. The two young women who care for customers are welcoming, and eager to explain their food. But, it's food.....the best way to learn about it is to taste it. the customer service here is so impeccable that we've been at this restaurant for several hours !! the guy at the front desk was super helpful and always served us with a smile on his face ! there were a lot of unique food options and all of the ones we tested out were really delicious. we tried almost all of the desserts and they were so good !! the owner also came up to us and spoke to us personally. the place feels super homey and this is definitely a restaurant you should go to at least once in your life !
