Nothing Indian about this place. All the food tasted like it was reheated from a frozen box, not taste at all. Very overpriced for the lack of quality and service. Owner kept saying they are more focused on serving the non-Indian customers. Also on the way out found a roach hanging on the curtain.

This is our first time here, we came for dinner. 1. Service - the friendly waiters came and checked up on us quite a bit, but not too much to where you feel disturbed. They serve a-la-carte during dinner hours. You get seated, order, and pay at your table. 2. Price - fairly priced, and a bang for the buck. There main entrees are about $10 a person. 3. Ambiance - this place can use some more decorations. Cute, petit, but not very romantic. They can use some more booths and some partitions. Dress code is casual. 4. Food - I had the Tandoori Chicken, Garlic Naan, and the wife had the Chicken Tikka Masala. The Tandoori dish is served with a lemon flavor, and ordered at medium spicy. In my opinion, it was not spicy enough if you can handle sriracha. The wife thought that her Tikka Masala was flavorful, and also ordered it medium spicy. She also could handle more spicy. Garlic Naan was not bad, but not as flavorful as we wanted it to be. 5. Cleanliness - dining area visually looks clean. Also a plus that the table, utensils, and cups were not sticky. I'm impressed and I recommend this place. I'm definitely coming back to try out the other dishes.

I haven't dined at many Indian restaurants, but growing up with childhood friends from India and Pakistan, I have few but authentic experience with the food. Visiting Tandoori Indian Cuisine on 2920 tonight was nostalgic... and delicious! I have have so many great things to say about this place, so I'll just name a few reasons why I would happily recommend it: - The humble & welcoming service felt as if you were eating in someone's home, rather than a restaurant. Iman was a sweet and gracious hostess. And Rashik was eager and pleasant as he refilled our waters and cleared our table. They both stopped to explain each dish and ingredients to me as I walked by the buffet. Mody, the manager, made sure to visit each table and shared background on the chef/owners with us. He was both enthusiastic and modest. - The food was fantastic! I enjoyed everything I sampled, but my favorite dishes were the silky chicken masala, the not-too-gamey-not-too-spicy goat curry, the complimentary fresh naan bread with its perfectly chewy texture (you won't regret dipping it in the mint chutney... and everything else!), and the gulab jamun (airy dessert balls with a surprising texture & unique flavor profile). The self-serve carafe of masala chai (think chai latte) was a wonderful finish. High regards to Chef Shahid! (*Sorry if I misspelled any names!) - Personally, as a fan of ethnic cuisine, I'm excited to see a new addition of this kind to the area. - It's a bargain! At $9.99 for the lunch buffet offered every day and fair prices on their full a la carte menu, as a diner you'll get your money's worth. Well, I enjoyed my visit very much!!! The restaurants is only 3 days old, and I wish great success for this family owned & operated gem. I will definitely be back again and very soon! :)

This Indian restaurant is located in an area where there really isn't much other competition. Upon arriving during a weekend lunch, the greeting with the waitress was a little awkward, as they were hesitant to allow me to look at the buffet line or go directly there when entering the restaurant. They said it wasnt quite ready yet, even though it was already 11am. I set my sunglasses down on the table and started to walk up to the front but they wanted me to place my drink order first. I just ordered an ice tea, waited about 5 minutes and then went to the buffet line. I was the first customer of the day and finally one other customer came in before I left. The buffet is medium-sized I would say with 4 entrees (3 chicken and 1 goat), about 6 veggie dishes, chutneys and raita. On the day I came, the buffet didn't have palak paneer, darn! They bring your naan to your table shortly after you return from the buffet line. Lunch buffet is supposedly available 7 days a week! Overall, all the food items I tried tasted excellent. My favorites were the pakora, goat curry, and butter chicken. One veggie item, the eggplant with potatoes was sorta cold, so their chaffing dish wasn't working right apparently. There were no dishes which were even remotely spicy, sadly. Lunch buffet was about average priced at $9.99. My only complaint is that they charge $3 for plain unsweetened iced tea, which is just a little steep while they charge only 2.50 if you order a soda.

This is what you get for $17 Butter Chicken. Naan bread will cost you an extra $3.99 through UberEats.

Minuscule Portion Sizes -- Figured I'd give this place a try as I was craving Indian food and this seemed like a great option. I ordered the Butter Chicken for $17 through UberEats and this is what I received. If I'm paying $17 for butter chicken (naan bread naat included btw), I would think the portion sizes for the chicken would be... more generous? Basically paid $17 for small chicken breast pieces in a bowl of super watery butter broth. The garlic naan bread was pretty good but the portion sizes for the chicken simply ruined the whole meal for me. Tried getting a refund on Uber eats but apparently they don't consider small portion sizes enough of a problem to justify a refund. Going on 12am and still hungry... and I'm not even a big guy! Frustrating as now everything is closed. Won't be reordering.

I ordered takeout Butter Chicken, Peshawari Naan and Paneer Makhani. Both dishes came with a small takeout box of basmati rice. They tasted similar to me as they both had a thick tomato sauce, but the Butter Chicken had a bit of spice. The chicken was cut into a variety of sizes. The paneer was cut into small cubes. I thought there was an okay amount of chicken in the Butter Chicken, but the Paneer Makhani needed a little more cheese cubes. The Peshwari Naan was like dessert bread. Ordering takeout wait time is about 20 min. The interior looked clean. They have Bollywood music videos on the tv.

Yes yes yes! I'll Admit, we've only been for the lunch buffet. Thats why we love it, small, fresh, hot, and delicious. I've found the small buffet and smaller food pans keep the options fresh. Don't be afraid to try the goat curry!

Rice, Okra, and eggplant. Amazing flavor for all three

A good Indian restaurant if your ever in Waco. Go for the food and service, not the atmosphere.

HONORING WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH…read more I have been intending to try this place since forever. Since it's Women's History Month, this visit came at the right time! Howzatt is a family owned Indo/Pak restaurant and it's operated by the very beautiful and lovely Noshaba Shahid! Upon entering the restaurant, Noshaba greeted me with the friendliest and warmest greeting. She welcomed me in and asked me if I was dining in or placing a to-go order. I told her that I wanted to place a to-go order. As a result, she handed me a menu, graciously lead me to the waiting area, told me to have a seat, and make myself comfortable while I browse the menu. I could feel the genuine warmth in her smile and the welcome that she gave me. This made me comfortable and ready to spend my money, lol. I highly appreciated the great customer hospitality! Furthermore, as I browsed through the menu, I noticed that they have an extensive selection of vegan and vegetarian options. They also have a variety of rice options which made it difficult for me to choose because I'm a rice lover! Although I didn't try their fried rice this go round, I will definitely put that on my list for the next visit. Moreover, I ended up ordering the chicken biryani, chicken malai kebab, garlic naan, and butter naan. I spent about $35 in total and it was well worth it! It was enough food to feed three people. The chicken biryani was full of delicious and robust Indian/Pakistaní spices and seasonings. However, it's brutally spicy in my opinion, so if you don't do spicy, then do not order this dish. The chicken was tender and lacking greasiness which is an A+ in my opinion. The chicken malai kebab consisted of white meat and it was tender and full of flavor. I appreciate the fact that the food was not salty but was perfectly seasoned making the meal enjoyable. I highly enjoyed the authenticity of the flavors in each and every glorious delectable bite that I took. As for the naan, it was delicious as well but the only complaint I have is that it was burned on the bottom of some of the pieces. Other than that, it was delicious! Overall, I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who enjoys delicious authentic Indo/Pak Cuisine! The ambience is nice and quiet; very relaxing. The customer hospitality is impeccable. I noticed that Noshaba was extremely attentive to the guests who were dining in as I was waiting for my order. She even informed me that it would be about a 20-25 minutes wait for my food due to the fact that they prepare each order fresh, apologizing for the wait time. I was totally fine with that, especially since she informed me and brought me up to speed instead of letting me wait around wandering what is taking so long. Also, they informed me that they will be converting this establishment into a buffet pretty soon! How cool is that! I will definitely patronize with them in the future and highly recommended them! You will not be disappointed!

I came in not knowing about it so I was a bit disappointed since I was expecting more Indian/South Asian food. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was casual and lively. Afterwards, he asked if I want my roast and polao separately- then I asked back if the roast comes with polao by itself. He said yes- then I said that I don't need the extra half tray polao and it would be good with just chicken roast. He clearly agreed with me. A few mins later, after checking out I realized that I was charged 26 dollars for roast and another 35 dollars for the polao. I asked the guy why he changed like that. he said he thought that I would like it this way. Then I asked him what is the price for roast with polao- he said it would be close to 10. Then why the hell I was charged 66 dollars for food of 40 dollars? Also, he clearly neglected my request not to add the half tray polao to the list. Another disclaimer: I overheard the owner was scolding the guy in the kitchen saying why you smiled and how they will do business like this. , after I changed the order.
