Sad story. My parents spent two weeks in Paris and planned to return home from O'Hare via the Blue Line. Uh, no. My parents gave me life, worked their fingers to the bone to raise us in a nice house in a Chicago neighborhood with great schools, and spent another considerable sum on my education and a Steinway grand piano (I practiced daily, I swear). Leaving Paris is bad enough. Staying awake most of the night on the flight home only adds to the pain. The Blue Line is fine for ME. Unable to pick them up myself, I wrote to Uncle Yelp, and found the good ratings for Amm's from people I knew. I called, booked the car, received a confirmation number, and paid over the phone including the gratuity. I think it was about $75-80 total. The car service took the flight info and said they'd track it, and adjust their arrival based on any unforeseen flight delays. I emailed Mom and said "how about a car instead?" Everything went off without a hitch, and the driver was a pleasant fellow who took excellent care of them. I must admit, I love to spoil my parents. They can't stand it. read more

This is my last review in regards to my wild girls night out. My friends surprised me with a limo to take us bar to bar and to cart our crazy/sexy/drunk butts around the city. Our driver was Rudy and he was the most awesome limo driver I ever had! We all piled into the car (we were all heavily buzzed up) and we also brought a cooler, vodka, champagne, Lola, Willy and Willy2. Before I got in the car I had quite a bit to drink and I couldn't partake in any roady-sodys. I didn't want to make a mess of Rudy sparkling clean car! My group was loud, drunk and obnox and Rudy didn't have a care in the world. He probably had a good laugh after he was done with us. Some of us who sat in the back seat of the limo had Lola (with her grill) and the Willy's out the window. I know people who saw us driving down Lake Shore Drive and around the northside were like WTF!? It was a good time and I want to thank Rudy and my friends for a night that I will never forget! read more

Generally had good luck with Amms. Drivers not as creepy as most other services. Unfortunately for a recent concert they quoted me $130 for a ride from Wrigley field to the suburbs, but when the actual bill came it was for over $350!!. They added all sorts of fees, surcharges, etc for a 20 mile trip. Classic old-school limousine service rip-off. Worst part is I gave the driver a 20% tip on the "preliminary bill" Amms had me sign which had a much lower amount. The nerve of these people. And these limo companies wonder why they're losing business to UBER. Try another car company. read more

If you need a reliable car service to the airport, look no further! Amm's is fantastic -- I'm a weekly customer and they have always been on time, with great drivers, and really nice vehicles (love the Escalade when I get one). I live on a street with little cab service (much less early in the morning) and before discovering Amm's I had to rely on various cab companies, who, without fail, had trouble finding our home (and thus rarely would be on time). Then, of course, there's the lottery of what kind of cab would show up -- always a great way to start a trip in a cab with "curious" odors and a filthy trunk....... So friends who live in the area recommended Amm's as the best car service to/from the airports and they were absolutely correct. Of all the things to worry about when catching a flight, being picked up on time is no longer one of them. Their rates are also entirely reasonable for the service they provide. It's good thing when my husband and I look back on our wedding day and only have good things to say about Amm's Limousine wedding services. From the time we initiated contact, Nicholle was very helpful and professional. We called up several limousine companies just for comparison purposes and based on the overall communicative experience my husband had with Nicholle via email and phone, it wasn't a difficult choice to go with Amm's and requesting them to reserve our wedding date for their services. A few weeks before the wedding, we contacted Nicholle again to reconfirm our wedding details and schedule, and Nicholle responded efficiently to tell us that we were all set for our wedding day. Only thing was that we requested a formal contract from them and it took awhile for them to give that to us as Nicholle had to get another Amm's employee that is in charge of these things to have the contract written it up for us. On the day before the wedding, Amm's called us up to ask what kind of soda we would prefer during our limo rides so that they can be sure to stock up the limo with our preferred drinks (champagne was included too). We couldn't have had a better limo driver that day. Perry was amazing. He always had a genuine smile on his face the entire day he was with us. We had multiple pickups before the ceremony and each time he arrived early. It was pouring right before the wedding ceremony and when my bridesmaids and I arrived at the lobby of my condo, he was already standing at the lobby entrance with umbrellas waiting for us girls and escorting us to the limo with an umbrella. He was also very kind in reassuring me by saying that he looked up the doppler radar and that the heavy rain at that time was supposed to be the worse and that it would get better later in the day. And what do I know, the rain stopped when our wedding ceremony ended as we were headed to the reception venue :) Perry came back for us after our reception as our bridal party and photographer went around downtown Chicago for our photoshoot. We were thirsty and happily enjoying our drinks and champagne, and Perry reminded us several times that he had more drinks in the trunk for us if we needed more. Our bridal party took some shots in the middle of the street in the Financial District and Perry even asked us if we wanted his help to stop traffic a little so we could have a couple mins to take some shots in the middle of the street :) At the end of everything when my husband and I got home, we said to each other "Perry was really nice". read more

Today was the last day of a family vacation. I had to go straight to a business trip, leaving my wife to fend for herself with two small children and three heavy bags. I thought it would be a good idea to call a limousine and have a driver meet her at the baggage claim, to make things easier for her, so I called Amm's. Thought that the $109 plus $15 tip for a ride from O'Hare to Evanston would be worth it. Huge mistake! Amm's was a no show. After waiting for over 20 minutes, my wife called the dispatch. "Not sure what happened...meet him at Door 2C." So she went to door 2c and waited. With 2 exhausted crying children. For another 15 minutes. When the guy finally showed up, he flat-out lied to her, said he had been there the entire time, "You must have gone outside and missed me." She didn't, not for a second, and there wasn't anybody else around either, and certainly no Amm's driver. He was extremely rude and discourteous too. She called me really upset asking what to do... he simply left her at 2c, with a brusk, "Wait here for 15 minutes while I get the car, think you can handle that?" I told her simply to call a cab, and tip the driver extra for carrying the bags inside. I called Amm's again, and the dispatch lied to me too, was extremely ride, and didn't even attempt any apology. Overall, a disgusting customer service experience with Amm's. Zero stars. read more

My office has been using Amm's for many years. I recently used Amm's for personal travel for my husband and I for transportation to and from O'Hare and I have to say they are one of the most professional run limo companies in the area in my opinion -- easy to book online (we added our tip online), received detailed instructions as to how to meet our driver upon our return, and both of our drivers were excellent (including showing up 15 minutes early for our 5:45 am trip). We may have paid a little more through Amm's over a couple other limo companies, but it was well worth it - you get what you pay for (especially when it comes to professionalism) and we will continue to use Amm's for all of our travel needs in the future. Love these guys! I'm not sure who owns this company, but they've always done a great job over the years! read more

Awful! Bungee cord for trunk latch Used to transport 4 people and several pieces of luggage from O'hare to city. Asked for large SUV and was told I should just get a stretch because they are the same price and more available than SUVs. Would be wait listed for SUV. Was very delayed with pick up despite the fact I had provided flight info and followed instructions to call after retrieving baggage. FInally, car arrives and it is a circa 1985 limo with a non-latching trunk. After many minutes of scramble, the trunk was secured with a bungee cord! Then we had to reverse the process at our hotel with the bell staff looking on. Honestly, we joked that we got the last Pimpmobile in Chicago as our stretch limo. Yes, it had faux fur pillows and neon lighting inside. It was the price as quoted but I (we) were very disappointed and a bit embarrassed to roll up in that. read more

I've been using Amms to go to the airport for over 5 years. Never had an issue. Drivers are always on time and extremely courteous. Cars are new and always clean. When you arrive at O'Hare you need to call them to let them know which gate you will be coming out of. Your driver will then meet you in the pick up area. read more

Wow! Talk about an easy time to set up and use a limo! I called the day before (on a Thursday) to see if they had availability for Friday night. Turns out they did! Yeah!! From the West loop, it cost 96 bucks (plus tip) one way to get to the Allstate arena! To me, I thought that was a great deal, considering I didn't have to drive in the rain, and I got to have a few pre-concert (yes, I went to New Kids on the Block, and it was AWESOME!) cocktails. The company was excellent in communication, and when we couldn't find our driver after the concert, I called the company, and let the driver know where we were. She came to find us (we were standing by the Target across the street, where she was located, but we couldn't find her) and we all got safely home. I'd recommend this service to anyone looking for a great car service, and for a reasonable price! read more

Am's called to confirm my wedding reservation while I was at the hair salon the morning of my wedding. I called back 45 minutes before the scheduled pickup and was told (1) they just picked a color limo since the color choice was left blank (they never asked me) and (2) The limo was going to arrive at 1:25. The limo did not arrive until after 1:30, at which point my parents drove me to the church. The driver complained that he was scheduled downtown that morning and the traffic messed things up and it was out of his control. We also had absolutely no drinks in the car, which were supposed to be complimentary. Very poor experience. Very disappointing. read more

Wonderful experience with Amm's today, as always. Super fast pickup at Midway, gorgeous car and simply lovely driver. So courteous. I'd been up since 4am traveling with an infant and he sweetly stopped at the Starbuck's Drive Thru for me on our way home. There should be a "no stars" option, which even with this company is being too generous, as they deserve a negative more so. I don't understand how many of these five stars were paid, but see how most of them are old now. Unlike any of the Uber pickups from the airport, these guys still are walkie-talkie'ing to each other, as though the customer needs to hear everything. They use these carbon-copy slips, requiring a credit card number to be written on them, which is real trustworthy don't you think? Next airport trip, Uber charges at a real discounted rate close to their X rates, try them. read more

Unbelievably awful. We used the service for an August wedding and had no complaints. But I wanted someone to meet my 70 year old mother in law at O'Hare and help her with bags. I was willing to pay the 45% premium over the regular fare for the pick up and baggage assistance. I was told someone would meet her in baggage claim with her name on a sign. The reservations agent took the flight number and gate details, but when the flight arrived early Amms had no knowledge of this. To make a long story short, over 2 hours after the scheduled reservation there was no driver for my mother in law and no calls to me or to her about when the car would be there. If you are paying almost 3x more for a car and not a taxi, shouldn't you get what you pay for? There are many other car services in Chicago that serve the airport, try them before you try Amms. read more

One of the worst limo companies ever. I wish there were a way to give no stars, but the site forces a one to be given in order to post. The afternoon order-taker could not have been more rude, however was one of the worst. Waiting to be picked up, he told us that the driver was 10 minutes out, which realistically was more like half an hour. When the driver got to us, he told us that he was stuck in traffic on OH Feeder Ramp when he got the order; we were at the Hancock. Ohio to DE & MI is not exactly 10 minutes, expecially during rush hour. Adding insult to injury, the driver was pestered by the office with one of those walkie talkie phones with that beeping volume on loudest. Just what I need, to hear how delayed the driver was going to be to the next order after dropping me off. Jesus. read more

The best limo service ever. Wonderfully courteous chauffeurs, well-maintained cars, and never late. They pick you up from O'Hare, whichever gate you are at, within 5 minutes of your calling them once you are at baggage claim. The operator is also super-efficient since I'm sure she gets a million calls at a time. I think it costs $60 from O'Hare to downtown, which is inexpensive since it's quite a distance, though I never paid for it, it was all expensed anyway. They also do pickups from downtown to O'Hare and elsewhere. Speaking of which, I took them from my hotel (the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower) to O'Hare once... Boy oh boy! This was such a great day! So I'm waiting outside my hotel waiting for my limo to pick me up, since I didn't see them already there which was a first since they had been on time the previous 10-15 times, so I called them. The operator knew who I was immediately and apologized instantly and profusely for the delay, and explained the situation. Apparently they were over-booked that day and had to make alternative arrangements for me. After the explanation, she said a car would be there right about as we were speaking and that I I wouldn't miss it. They had called another limo company for me and made sure I would be picked up as scheduled. How awesome is that. Also, that wasn't the end of it... As an apology for the delay and mix-up, they got me a super-stretch limo! I certainly did not miss it, I think my jaw dropped when I saw the limo turn into the Softel driveway, since it took a good 5 minutes for this car to pull in. It was at least 30 feet long, no kidding, with 5 windows, a screen with an LCD television, a car phone, champagne glasses and leather seats. It was a Saturday morning, so I was dresses in my ripped jeans and a tank-top, scruffy as hell, looking like ass. It was quite an embarrassing sight as the busboy announced the arrival of my limo, and ushered me to the door (I seriously did not know where to enter, the car was so long). Okay, I am going to stop my rambling now. But 5 stars, no contest. read more

This place sucks. I ordered a ride to O'Hare from Albany Park a few years ago and I'll never forget. They never showed up. I called that morning, wondering where they were and got an answering machine, circa 1985. My grandmother, my sister and I needed a ride to the airport. They screwed us, on a bitter cold December day, right before Christmas. I had to walk down to Lawrence and flag a cab. Our awesome cabbie drove the wrong way down my street so that my elderly grandmother wouldn't have to negotiate a block and a half of icy sidewalk. Amm's does not deserve anyone's business. I left them messages that were not returned. Later, when I called to complain and got a human being, I was hung up on. Don't call this slipshod company. read more

Called them 6 hours before I needed to be picked up. They confirmed with a supervisor that a car was available. The limo arrived 10 min before the scheduled time, waited patiently and then loaded our bags for us. the driver was very pleasant and got us to o'hare in good time. It all went without a hitch! My team and I used Amm's for a large conference in downtown Chicago, for which we provided 60+ VIP speakers - both international and domestic - transportation to and from airports over the course of six days. Throughout these 120+ rides we only had one slight hiccup, which was mainly our fault, and was remedied by Amm's immediately, gracefully, and with extreme professionalism. They were incredible to work with: exceptionally organized, responsive, accommodating, and pleasant. Even if they're slightly more expensive than other options, they are worth every additional penny in providing the utmost peace of mind. So highly recommend! read more

I used Aames last week on a recommendation from my brother. Everything was fine until I called from O'Hare and was told 10-12 minutes. Great, that sounded reasonable. We went outside after 10 minutes, waited another 25, and I called back to the customer service number and after checking with the driver I was told it would be another 10 minutes. No apology, just some excuse that the limo lot was "backed up" - hard to believe that explains a 35 minute wait after the initial 10 min. The ride itself was fine but the delay was unacceptable, unexplained and without apology. read more

I called to get car service to and from O'Hare since we were visiting with our young son. Nicole helped me set up the reservation and she was incredibly helpful. We had a car seat and I had lots of cold-weather questions. (We are in Northern Cal and not used to single digits at all.) All pick ups were exactly as explained and were totally flawless. Drivers were courteous and patient, particularly with the car seat rigmarole. One expects things to go as planned and that would warrant an easy four stars. Nicole alone probably warranted the above and beyond fifth star but the fact that they sent a big, fun stretched limo for our return to the airport made certain that I logged on and posted this review this morning. We've used lots of car services in NY and this one would be my first choice in any city, hands down. read more

I've been using Amms for about 10 years for airport service. I really like the always timely, mostly professional drivers- hence using them for so long, but occasionally I have gotten a bad apple or two. Some drivers don't seem to relish serving the south side of the city- and sometimes show it. Others- like the one I got today are rude, and not very personable ( this driver chose to ignore a simple question- twice). I choose to withhold the tip in those cases. But, there are other companies, and it may be time to spread the wealth so to say, and kill the exclusive use of this company. read more

I travel quite a bit for business and rather than pay the exorbitant long term parking at the airports I usually take a car. I've never really had any loyalty to a car company, but I've been traveling more so my lust for a relationship has grown. I discovered Amm's on Yelp and decided to give them a shot, they have not disappointed. I have used them 3 times before writing this review as I wanted to make sure it wasn't a fluke performance, good or bad, I was yelping about. The drivers were very prompt and this included a couple of pickups in the wee hours. They were basically running out of the car to grab my bag from me. They made sure all the information they had been given was correct and the cars were clean and comfortable. The cost is well within the range of what you would pay for a cab or another car company. Even if they were a little high, based upon the service I got, I would pay the extra bucks. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a lift to the airport. read more
